It may be Thanksgiving, but we here at Fightful.com don't take a days off so this is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of IMPACT Wrestling on Pop TV! It's Thanksgiving in the Impact Zone and tonight we have a great show as Matt Sydal faces Tyson Dux, GFW World Champion Eli Drake is here to celebrate and much more so be sure to come back here at 8 PM EST for all of the action!
-We open the show with an old match you can see on the GFW streaming service where Alex Shelley lost a triple threat and Mick Foley made him wear a turkey suit.
-We have the various random drawings for the Turkey Bowl later tonight, tentatively titled the Gravy Train Turkey Trot by Eli Drake.We then get another vintage IMPACT match where the loser has to wear the turkey outfit.
-Various talent talk about what they're thankful for including the Canadian ones who celebrate it a month earlier. We then get last year's turkey match between Grado and Robbie-E where Grado lost and had to wear it.
Gravy Train Turkey Trot Match
Caleb Konley, Laurel Van Ness, KM, El Hijo de Phantasma and Chris Adonis come out first for team Adonis as we go to commercial.
Richard Justice, Allie, Garza Jr., Fallah Bahh and Eddie Edwards come out for team Edwards before everyone gets up on the apron, then Richard starts the match with Caleb. Richard takes Caleb down repeatedly while eating turkey before Laurel gets in and Allie goes after her. Bahh tags in when KM gets in and goes shoulder first into the ring post as we go to commercial.
Bahh hits a running cross body before getting dropped by KM, then Adonis tags in as soon as Garza does. Team Adonis start tagging in and out and and keeping Garza isolated in their half of the ring before Adonis hits a leg drop for a quick two count. Garza fights out of a bear hug and tags Eddie in, Eddie taking out everyone on the other team before hitting a blue thunder bomb for a near fall. Everyone gets in the ring and brawls in each corner except for Allie and Laurel outside of the ring. KM gets double teamed by Richard and Fallah before everyone is sent out of the ring and Allie hits a cross body to the outside and takes out everyone at ringside.
Chris and Eddie get back in the ring and Chris goes for the Adonis Lock, but Eddie rolls him up for the pin and the win.
Winner: Team Eddie Edwards via pinfall
-Adonis leaves without putting the suit on before he's escorted back by security and we are told that he is contractually obligated to put the suit on and if he doesn't then Eli Drake will be forced to. Chris then gets back in the ring and puts the turkey suit on, then a huge food fight starts as we go off the air with Chris accidentally putting a pie in Eli's face.
