This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of IMPACT Wrestling on Pop TV. We are just days away from Destination X, but tonight we have the semi-finals of the Super X Cup when ACH faces off against Taiji Ishimori. We also have the IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team champions LAX squaring off in a non-title match against VOW and much more so be sure to come back here at 8 PM EST for all of the action!
-We open the show with LAX and VOW brawling outside the arena before we get a video package of Sienna and Rosemary as we see Sienna sitting on a chair in the center of the ring. Karen comes down before Gail Kim does, then Gail beats on Sienna at ringside until the officials pull her off.
Laredo Kid & Garza JR vs El Hijo De Phantasma & Naomichi Marufuji
Kid and Hijo start the match off by doing several flips and taking each other down repeatedly until Kid takes control by knocking Hijo down over and over. Garza and Maru tag in, the two exchanging chops until Garza sends Maru out of the ring with a jumping knee. Maru pulls Garza out of the ring before Kid and Hijo both hit topes to the outside. They get back in the ring and Hijo hits a splash off of the top rope for a near fall before Garza tags Kid in, Kid taking out both Hijo and Maru. They then hit a double team move onto Hijo for a near fall before Hijo drops Kid with a running knee.
Maru gets tagged in, Maru and Hijo superkicking Garza when he plays to the crowd before Kid sends Hijo out of the ring. Kid gets a near fall off of a DDT onto Maru before Maru hits a question mark kick for a near fall, finishing with the Sliced Bread for the pin and the win.
Winner: Naomichi Marufuji via pinfall
Grado & Joseph Park vs Kongo Kong
Kong starts the match off with Grado, knocking him down to start the match before he tags Park in. Kong knocks Park down before they knock Kong over, but Kong is right back up, clotheslining them both before hitting a cannonball in the corner to Park for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kongo Kong via pinfall
-Kong beats on both after the match before Laurel comes out and stops him from killing them before slapping him. Kong then goes to slam her down, but she gets away before Tyrus comes down to the ring. They square off before Kong leaves with Laurel as we go to commercial.
-We have long video package for Lashley before he and Matt Sydal sit down and talk to Dutch about their match next week.
LAX vs VOW Tag Team Championship Street Fight
They start brawling at ringside before the bell rings with VOW in control. VOW double team Ortiz in the ring before getting a table out from under the ring. VOW set two tables up in the ring before putting Santana through one for a near fall, Homicide pulling the referee out of the ring at the last second as we go to commercial.
LAX take control as we come back from commercial, the numbers game coming into play and overwhelming VOW. VOW come back momentarily before LAX beat them down with sticks and trash cans. LAX then hits a double team move onto Mayweather through a table for the pin and the win.
Winner: LAX via pinfall
Taiji Ishimori vs ACH Super X Cup Semi-final Match
They lock up to start the match before exchanging flips and wrist locks. ACH takes Taiji down before Taiji sends him out of the ring, Taiji acting like he'll dive out after him, but he just poses before ACH gets back in and drops him as we go to commercial.
Taiji takes control as we come back from commercial, hitting a meteora off of the top rope before ACH hits a German suplex. They counter each other before exchanging kicks, ACH getting a near fall off of a clothesline. Taiji then hits a 450 splash for the pin and the win
Winner: Taiji Ishimori via pinfall
-After the match Dezmond Xavier comes out to the ring and squares off with Taiji before they shake hands as we go to commercial.
Six-Man Tag Match
Alberto goes right after Low-Ki to start the match, dragging him over the top rope and beating on him for a quick two count. Sonjay tags in and suplexes Low-Ki for a quick two count before Sydal and Dutt double team Lee and Low-Ki. Lashley comes in and takes out Dutt before suplexing Matt for a quick two count as we go to commercial.
Lashley hits a delayed suplex to Matt for a quick two count before tagging Low-Ki in as we come back from commercial. Low-Ki tags Lee in after smashing Matt face first into the top turnbuckle before they start tagging in and out at a quick pace. They keep Matt isolated in their corner for a series of quick two counts before Low-Ki puts Matt in a submission. Matt is quick to the ropes, but he's dragged into their corner once more before Lee whips him into the corner for a quick two count. Matt comes back with a roundhouse kick before tagging Sonjay in, Sonjay hitting a huricanrrana for a quick two count.
Low-Ki hits a double foot stomp to Sonjay for a near fall before he tags Lashley in who quickly tags in Lee. Lee plays to the crowd before Sonjay hits a tornado DDT and tags Alberto in. Alberto takes out Lee before taking out Lashley on the apron and Low-Ki in the ring before finally hitting a tope to the outside onto Lashley. Dutt hits a splash off of the top rope before Lashley turns him inside out with a lariat, then Alberto superkicks him and Low-Ki. Low-Ki then hits the Warriors Way onto Sonjay for the pin and the win.
Winner: Low-Ki via pinfall
