WWE Raw Results For 10/8/2018: 2 Super Show-Down Rematches, Plus Trish Stratus, Lita, Kurt Angle & Paul Heyman Return

Lars Frederiksen Accompanying Spitfire To The Ring At TNA Rebellion; DJ Ashba To Perform National Anthem

- WWE COO Triple H makes his way to the ring to start the show, Shawn Michaels joins him in the ring a few moments later. HHH says it took 25 years to climb the mountain and he should be standing on the summit of the mount with HBK, HHH says the avalanche that fell on them both makes them question the mountain. A video package airs showing what happened in the main event of WWE Super Show-Down, HHH says respect has lost its significance as of late. HHH talks about what respect means to himself and HBK, HBK says sometimes you respect those for who they used to be. HBK stays he has stayed retired out of respect for The Undertaker and there was no actual respect from ‘Taker, HHH says he and HBK are challenging The Undertaker & Kane for WWE Crown Jewel. HBK says Degeneration X is ready, HBK has a few words for The Undertaker and Kane if they aren’t ready and those words are “suck it.”

Bobby Lashley w/Lio Rush vs. Kevin Owens

The match begins with Lashley shoving Owens across the ring, Rush grabs the microphone and he mocks Owens as the match continues. Lashley follows up his attack while dropping a charging Owens with a shoulder block, Lashley keeps Owens cornered while landing a few strikes. Owens recovers and he sends a charging Lashley out of the ring, Owens follows Lashley out of the ring to attack him with a few strikes. Lashley recovers and he drops Owens on the arena floor, Lashley gets Owens in the ring and Owens quickly knocks him back out with a clothesline. Owens gets to the ring apron and he nails Lashley with a side kick to the face, Owens follows that up with a dive on Lashley. Lashley and Owens exchange blows on the arena floor, Owens recovers and sends a charging Lashley into the barricade as we go to a commercial break.

We return from the break to see Lashley holding Owens in a chin lock in the middle of the ring, Owens gets free and he goes after Rush. Lashley eventually saves Rush from a beating by sending Owens into the ring steps, Lashley gets Owens in the ring while landing more strikes. Lashley then nails a cornered Owens with a running clothesline followed by a corner spear, Owens fights back and Lashley nails him with a spine buster. Lashley then hits Owens with a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall, Owens gets out of a full nelson from Lashley to land a super kick followed by a stunner for a near fall. Owens goes to the top rope and Rush distracts him so Lashley can crotch him, Lashley then attacks the injured knee of Owens. Lashley then hits Owens with the Dominator for the three count.

Winner: Bobby Lashley w/Lio Rush

After the match, Bobby Lashley returns and he further attacks the injured knee of Kevin Owens.

- A video package airs highlighting the career of John Cena, who'll participate in the upcoming WWE World Cup. 

- Dana Fuentes interviews Team BNB, Finn Balor and Bayley don’t think Team Mahalicia are going to be on the same page tonight. Lio Rush appears with Bobby Lashley to brag about what they did to Kevin Owens, they also mock Team BNB.

- Elias is in the ring and he says that when all the wrestling legends are speaking about the WWE, they are actually speaking about him. Elias performs a song that bashes John Cena and the city of Chicago, Ronda Rousey interrupts as we go to a commercial break.

Ronda Rousey & The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie) vs. The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan)

The match begins with Morgan slapping Brie right in the face, Brie drops Morgan and misses the Yes Kick. Morgan and Brie have a wild brawl that spills to the arena floor, both teams eventually have to separate Morgan and Brie. Logan and Rousey get tagged in by their respective partners, Rousey takes a swinging Logan down with an arm drag as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Riott working over a downed Nikki, Nikki recovers and she hits Riott with a spine buster. Nikki follows up by nailing Riott with clotheslines and drop kicks, Nikki then hits Riott with a disaster kick for a near fall. Brie tags in and the Bella’s hit Riott with a double knee strike, Riott drags Brie out of the ring before landing an STO on the arena floor. Riott gets Brie back in the ring for a near fall on a pin attempt, Morgan tags in and she kicks away at a cornered Brie.

Logan tags in and she applies a chin lock to a downed Brie, Logan releases the hold to nail Brie with a shoulder tackle. Logan then hits Brie with a hip toss followed by a knee strike for a near fall, Morgan tags in and she kicks Brie in the face for a near fall. Riott tags back in and she attacks a downed Brie with more strikes, Riott applies the chin lock to a downed Brie. The ref argues with Rousey as the Riott Squad triple teams Brie, Brie fights back and she nails Riott with a missile drop kick. Rousey tags in and she cleans house against the opposing team, Rousey then attacks Riott with a series of strikes. Rousey then hits Riott with a firemans slam followed by an arm bar for the tap out.

Winners: Ronda Rousey & The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie)

After the match, the Bella Twins attacks Ronda Rousey, who fights back and takes out both twins. Rousey follows them out of the ring and Brie knocks her into the ring post, the twins double team Rousey until WWE officials separate them. The twins then throw Rousey into the ring steps, Nikki follows that up by throwing Rousey into the barricade. The twins get Rousey into the ring and stand over her.

Team BNB (Finn Balor & Bayley) vs. Team Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox) w/Sunil Singh

The match begins with Mahal quickly nailing Balor with a slam before applying a chin lock, Balor gets free and he eventually nails Mahal with a basement drop kick. Fox tags in and Team BNB double team the opposition as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Fox holding Bayley in a chin lock. Fox releases the hold and she stomps away on Bayley, Fox drops Bayley with a forearm strike for a near fall. Fox then applies the reverse bear hug to a dazed Bayley, Bayley recovers and sends Fox out of the ring. Fox returns and Bayley knocks Fox to the arena floor again, Balor tags in and he goes right after Mahal. Balor drops mahal before nailing him with a double stomp, Mahal recovers and he kicks a charging Balor in the face. Balor recovers and lands a falling elbow smash for a near, Bayley and Fox take their brawl to the arena floor. Balor drops Mahal and lands a Coupe De Grace for the three count.

Winners: Team BNB (Finn Balor & Bayley)

- Dolph Ziggler is giving a pep talk to Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre, McIntyre then tells Ziggler it was him who lost the match at WWE Super Show-Down. Strowman yells at both of them and he reminds him of their goal of Strowman winning the WWE Universal Title.

- Acting Raw GM Corbin is approached by Heath Slater backstage about being in the Global Battle Royal tonight, Corbin tells Slater that he isn't any good.

- Acting Raw GM Baron Corbin comes out before the battle royal to say that he could’ve just put himself in the WWE World Cup, but wanted to win a battle royal to prove himself.

Participants Include Gregor The Sickle, The Sultan Of Swarma, El Hombre Sin Nombre, Stanislav The Squeezer, The Chilean Sea Bass, Dr. Winston Von Vorhees, Franz The Belgium Waffle, The Conquistador, Thunder Montgomery & Acting Raw GM Corbin

The match begins with everybody attacking Corbin and they try eliminating him until he gets free, Corbin quickly starts dumping the competitors out of the ring. The competitors try ganging up on Corbin and he still manages to eliminate them all, Montgomery attacks Corbin with the claw and Corbin gets free before eliminating him. Corbin stands in the corner to celebrate when he realizes The Conquistador was hiding outside of the ring, Conquistador gets in the ring and he nails Corbin with a trio of German suplexes. Conquistador hits Corbin with an Angle Slam before eliminating Corbin to win the battle royal.

Winner: The Conquistador

After the match, The Conquistador unmasks himself and he is revealed to be Kurt Angle.

- Kurt Angle is shown walking around backstage when he is approached by Charly Caruso, Angle says he is technically still on vacation.

Ember Moon vs. Nia Jax

The match begins with Moon getting Jax in a headlock, Moon goes for an arm drag and Jax counters with a clothesline. Jax misses a charge in the corner and Moon nails her with a step up enzaguri, Moon goes for a cross body block and Jax nails her with a spine buster. Jax then hits Moon with an avalanche before tossing her across the ring, Moon fights back and she locks Jax in a sleeper hold, Jax gets free by again tossing Moon across the ring. Moon recovers and she hits Jax with a hurricarana before using a drop kick to knock her out of the ring, Moon then attacks Jax with a suicide dive and Jax doesn’t go down. Jax then drops Moon on the arena floor before a striking exchange breaks out, Jax misses a charge at Moon and Moon gets back in the ring to beat the ten count.

Winner: Ember Moon, by count out

After the match, Nia Jax and Ember Moon embrace.

- Trish Stratus makes her way to the ring to talk about WWE Evolution, Stratus brings up her opponent at WWE Evolution in Alexa Bliss. Stratus says last weeks Moment Of Bliss was nothing short of BS, that brings Bliss and Mickie James out to the ring. Bliss claims that nobody cares about what Stratus says, Stratus says that Bliss comes up short in many ways. Bliss talks about being a fan of Stratus and then claims that she sucked the whole time, Bliss says Stratus would’ve been an afterthought if they had met years before. Stratus challenges Bliss to face off with her tonight and Bliss obliges with James at her side, James stops Bliss from going after Stratus. James brings up how she beat Stratus for the title in Chicago at ‘Mania 22, Stratus promises to take James and Bliss out at WWE Evolution.

James says that she should just team with Bliss against Stratus at WWE Evolution, Stratus says she has a partner in mind and Lita makes her way to the ring. A brawl breaks out between all four until Bliss is knocked out of the ring, Stratus nails James with a Chick Kick before Bliss finally gets her out of the ring.

- The Shield cuts a promo, saying the will not break and the result will be the same tonight as it was at WWE Super Show-Down.

- Konnor grabs the microphone before the match to talk about how he beat Bobby Roode and Chad Gable in singles matches, Konnor says that Roode and gable are getting sent to the wasteland tonight.

Bobby Roode & Chad Gable vs. The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor)

The match begins with Konnor powering Roode into the corner, Roode goes for a headlock and Konnor drops him with a shoulder block. Gable tags in and he nails Konnor with a missile drop kick, Konnor recovers and he sends Gable out of the ring. Viktor tags in and he nails an unaware Gable with a flying shoulder tackle on the inside of the ring, Viktor nails Gable with more strikes for a near fall. Konnor tags back in and he nails Gable with a few more strikes, Viktor tags back in and he nails gable with a suplex for a near fall. Viktor holds Gable down while wrenching away on his arm, Gable eventually tags Roode into the match. Roode quickly cleans house against the opposing team, Roode eventually nails Viktor with a blockbuster.

Konnor interferes and Roode sends him out of the ring, Gable tags in and he nails Viktor with a Chaos Theory for the three count.

Winners: Bobby Roode & Chad Gable

After the match, the AOP hit the ring and they lay out everybody who competed in the tag team match.

- A video package airs highlighting the history of Degeneration X.

- Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring and he says that he is here to see fight tonight between The Shield and Braun Strowman’s team. Heyman talks about how all the wrestlers are beating the crap out of each other to please the WWE Universe, Heyman says that Brock Lesnar is entering WWE Crown Jewel with the purpose of becoming the WWE Universal Champion. The Shield interrupt and make their way to the ring for the main event.

The Shield (Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins) vs. Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler

The match begins with McIntyre catching Rollins in a headlock before dropping him with a clothesline, Ambrose tags in and he works with Rollins to hit McIntyre with a double suplex. Strowman tags in and he drops Ambrose with a shoulder tackle, Strowman misses a charge in the corner and Reigns tags into the match. Strowman tosses Reigns into the corner before landing an avalanche, Reigns fights back and Strowman drops him with a shoulder tackle. Ziggler tags in and he works over Reigns before tagging McIntyre in, a brawl breaks out and the Shield clears the ring as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Strowman working over Reigns before tagging Ziggler in, Ziggler attacks Reigns with a few strikes.

Ziggler goes for an avalanche and Reigns drops him with a right, Strowman tags in and he winds up crashing into the ring post a few moments later. Reigns then hits Strowman with a Samoan drop, Rollins and Ziggler get tagged in by their respective partners. Rollins quickly cleans house against the opposing team, Rollins hits Ziggler with a springboard clothesline for a near fall. Rollins then hits Ziggler with a side kick before missing a curb stomp, Rollins then connects with a buckle bomb on Ziggler for a near fall. A brawl breaks out betwen both teams and it spills all over the place, Strowman would then get triple teamed by The Shield. Rollins and Ambrose take out McIntyre and Ziggler with suicide dives, Reigns then takes everybody out with a suicide dive as we go to a commercial break.

We return from the break to see Strowman working over Rollins in the ring, Strowman corners Rollins before landing a few strikes. McIntyre tags in and he quickly drops Rollins for a near fall, Rollins fights back and McIntyre kicks him in the face for a near fall. Ziggler tags in and he kicks away at a downed Rollins, Rollins recovers and he propels Ziggler into the corner. McIntyre tags in and he has a striking exchange with Rollins until Rollins lands an enzaguri, Strowman interferes and he attacks the rest of The Shield. Strowman throws Reigns into the ring steps and Ambrose into the barricade, Strowman then starts arguing with Ziggler before going face to face with McIntyre. Rollins knocks McIntyre into Strowman before sending both out of the ring, Ambrose tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team.

Ambrose then hits McIntyre with multiple clotheslines, Ambrose then hits McIntyre with a spinning neck breaker for a near fall. Ziggler distracts Ambrose so McIntyre can land a spine buster for a near fall, everybody from both teams hit the ring and they all take each other out. McIntyre and Ambrose eventually drop each other in the middle of the ring, Strowman sends Reigns into the ring post. Ambrose goes for a dive and winds up nailing Strowman with a DDT on the arena floor, Reigns then hits Strowman with a spear. McIntyre hits Ambrose with a Claymore Kick in the ring for the three count.

Winners: Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler

After the match, a frustrated Dean Ambrose heads backstage without his partners.
