Chaos (Hirooki Goto & Jado) vs. Toa Henare & Ren Narita

The match begins with Henare backing Jado into the ropes before letting him go free, Jado then attacks Henare with some strikes. Jado throws Henare into the turnbuckle a few times and it doesn?t faze him, Henare follows Jado around the ring while landing headbutts. Narita tags in and he catches Jado with some forearm strikes, Jado recovers and he catches Narita with a shoulder block. Goto attacks Henare and he throws him into the barricade, Jado attacks the back of Narita with some forearm strikes. Goto tags in and he double teams Narita alongside Jado, Narita fights back and he nails Goto with a drop kick. Henare tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team, Henare then crushes Goto with a flying shoulder tackle.

Henare cracks Goto with a following chop for a near fall, Narita tags in and he double teams Goto alongside Henare. Henare nails Goto with a Samoan drop so Narita can get a near fall on him, Jado and Henare take their battle to the arena floor. Goto cracks Narita with a headbutt before landing a Ushigoroshi for a three count.

Winners: Chaos (Hirooki Goto & Jado)

Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii & Sho) vs. Chaos (Toru Yano & Yoh)

The match begins with some chain wrestling between Sho and Yoh, Sho then nails a charging Yoh with a drop kick. Ishii tags in and he double teams Yoh alongside Sho, Ishii picks Yoh up before landing a series of strikes. Ishii drops Yoh before landing some kicks to the back, Yoh fights back and Ishii drops him with a single chop. Yoh recovers and he drops a kicking Ishii with a dragon screw leg whip, Yano tags in and he has a striking exchange with Ishii. Yano removes the turnbuckle pad as Ishii attacks him from behind, Ishii quickly throws Yano into the exposed corner. Yano recovers and he propels Ishii into the exposed corner, Yano catches Ishii with a brain buster before tagging Yoh in. Yoh catches a cornered Ishii with a kick to the face followed by a double stomp, Sho hits the ring and Yoh drops him.

Ishii fights back and Yoh drops him with a neck breaker, Yano interferes and Sho hits the ring to take care of him. Sho then hits Yoh with a power slam so Ishii can land a German suplex afterwards, Ishii then hits Yoh with a barin buster for the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii & Sho)

Juice Robinson & David Finlay vs. Guerillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa)

The match begins with Loa backing Finlay into the corner while landing a plethora of strikes, Loa drops Finlay before kicking away at him. Loa then nails a cornered Finlay with a running clothesline, Finlay recovers and drops Loa with a leaping European uppercut. Tama interferes and he nails Finlay with an avalanche, Loa follows up by landing a power slam on Finlay. Tama tags in and he nails Finlay with some strikes of his own, Tama then hits Finlay with a drop kick for a near fall. Tama then cracks a downed Finlay with some stomps, Loa tags in and he lands a slingshot swanton bomb for a near fall. Tama tags in and Finlay tries fighting back before landing a back suplex, Robinson and Loa get tagged in by their respective partners.

Robinson dances around Loa while landing the patented Juice Jabs, Robinson then drops Loa with a running clothesline. Tama distracts Robinson and Loa nails him with a clothesline, Tama tags in and he misses an avalanche attempt. Finlay tags in and he double teams Tama with Robinson for a near fall, Finlay then clotheslines Loa out of the ring. Tama catches a leaping Finlay with a Gun Stun for the three count.

Winners: Guerillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa)

Kota Ibushi & Yujiro Takahashi vs. Suzuki-Gun (Zack Sabre Jr. & Taka Michinoku)

The match begins with some chain wrestling between Sabre Jr and Ibushi, Sabre Jr starts wrenching away on the arm of Ibushi. Sabre Jr catches Ibushi with a northern lights suplex, Ibushi recovers and he nails Sabre Jr with a monkey flip. Ibushi attacks Sabre Jr with a striking combination, Sabre Jr recovers and lands a kick to the arm of Ibushi. Michinoku tags in and Ibushi quickly drops him, Takahashi tags in and he double teams Michinoku alongside Ibushi. Michinoku eats a few forearm strikes before landing a jump kick to the head of Takahashi, Sabre Jr tags in and he nails Takahashi with European uppercuts. Takahashi recovers and he nails Sabre Jr with a reverse DDT, Ibushi and Michinoku take their battle to the arena floor. Sabre Jr locks Takahashi in the octopus stretch before landing a Michinoku Driver for the three count.

Bullet Club (Kenny Omega & Chase Owens) vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito & Sanada)

The match begins with Owens and Sanada jumping their opponents from behind, Sanada shows Omega into Owens before knocking Omega out of the ring. Sanada kncos Owens out of the ring before taking Bullet Club out with a suicide dive, Naito gets Omega in the ring before choking him on the middle rope. Naito nails Omega with some elbow strikes to the back of the neck, Owens distracts Naito and that allows Omega to hit him with a back suplex. Owens tags in and he double teams Naito alongside Omega, Omega tags in and he nails Naito with a top rope elbow strike. Owens tags in and he nails Naito with a back breaker for a near fall, Naito recovers to nail Owens with a hip toss followed by a drop kick.

Sanada tags in and he cleans house on the opposing team, Sanada locks Owens in the Paradise Lock and Omega eventually frees him. Sanada then nails Omega with a springboard drop kick, Omega recovers to work with Owens and nail Sanada with a double super kick. Naito returns and he nails Omega with a DDT, Naito nails Owens with an enzaguri and then Sanada locks him in the Skull End to force a tap out.

NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A Match: Togi Makabe vs. Yoshi-Hashi

The match begins with a striking exchange between Makabe and Yoshi-Hashi, Makabe would eventually drop Yoshi-Hashi with a shoulder tackle. Makabe traps Yoshi-Hashi in the corner and Yoshi-Hashi gets free before landing a clothesline, Makabe rolls out of the ring and Yoshi-Hashi follows him out there before landing more strikes. Yoshi-Hashi would then throw Makabe into the barricade a few times, Yoshi-Hashi gets Makabe back in the ring and he stomps away on him. Makabe fights back and Yoshi-Hashi levels him with a running chop, Yoshi-Hashi catches Makabe with a brain buster for a near fall. Yoshi-Hashi follows Makabe around the ring while landing forearm strikes, Makabe recovers and catches a charging Yoshi-Hashi with a power slam.

Yoshi-Hashi fights back and Makabe catches him with a clothesline in the corner, Makabe traps Yoshi-Hashi in the corner while landing some punches. Makabe then hits Yoshi-Hashi with a northern lights suplex for a near fall, Yoshi-Hashi and Makabe have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Makabe eventually drops Yoshi-Hashi with a lariat to end the exchange, Makabe gets Yoshi-Hashi on the top rope and he follows him up there. Yoshi-Hashi gets free and he lands a sit out power bomb for a near fall on Makabe, Makabe fights back and Yoshi-Hashi clobbers him with a Western Lariat. Yoshi-Hashi follows up by nailing Makabe with a double knee strike for a near fall, Yoshi-Hashi applies the butterfly lock to Makabe and Makabe gets free. Yoshi-Hashi nails Makabe with a lung blower before reapplying the butterfly lock and Makabe makes it to the ropes.

Yoshi-Hashi goes to the top rope and he nails Makabe with a blockbuster for a near fall, Yoshi-Hashi goes for Kharma and Makabe escapes by landing elbow strikes. Makabe then hits Yoshi-Hashi with a release German suplex, Makabe then drops Yoshi-Hashi with a clothesline. Makabe crushes Yoshi-Hashi with a second clothesline before getting him on the top rope, Makabe smashes Yoshi-Hashi head on the ring post before landing a spider German suplex. Makabe nails Yoshi-Hashi with a King Kong Knee Drop for the three count.

Winner: Togi Makabe

NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A Match: Bad Luck Fale vs. Hangman Page

The match begins with Fale attacking Page before he gets into the ring, Fale goes out of he ring and he lands a few more strikes before throwing Page into the ring. Page quickly recovers and he takes out Fale with a suicide dive, Fale goes into the crowd and Page follows him before getting into a striking exchange. Fale recovers and he throws Page into a bunch of chairs that are in the crowd, Fale lands a few more blows before throwing Page into some more chairs. Fale gets Page into the ring before standing on top of him, Page fights back and Fale destroys him with some strikes of his own. Page lands a few clotheslines before nailing a downed Fale with a standing shooting star press for a near fall, Page looks for a German suplex against Fale and Fale blocks it.

Fale corners Page before crushing him with an avalanche, Fale then nails a downed Page with a splash for a near fall. Fale goes for the Grenade and Page rolls him up for a near fall, Page then uses a clothesline to knock Fale out of the ring. Tonga Loa interferes and Page takes him out with a super kick, Page then hits Fale with a drop kick. Page takes out Fale and Loa with a moonsault to the arena floor, Page gets Fale in the ring before landing a slingshot clothesline for a near fall. Page looks for the Rite Of Passage and Tama Tonga hits the ring to cause a DQ.

Winner: Adam Page, by DQ

After the match, The Firing Squad try hanging hangman Page until Kenny Omega, Chase Owens and Kota Ibushi make the save.

NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A Match: Michael Elgin vs. Evil

The match begins with Evil applying the headlock to Elgin, Elgin gets free to land a chop and apply a headlock of his own to Evil. Elgin releases the hold to drop Evil with a shoulder tackle, Evil rolls out of the ring and Elgin follows him out there before throwing him into the barricade. Elgin follows Evil around on the outside of the ring while landing chops, Elgin looks for a clothesline and he crashes into the ring post. Evil then throws a hurt Elgin into the barricade, Evil wraps a chair around the injured arm of Elgin before shoving him into the ring post. Evil gets Elgin back into the ring while working over his injured arm, Evil then shoves Elgin shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Elgin fights back and Evil sends him shoulder first into the mat below before landing a senton, Evil holds Elgin down while pulling back on his arms.

Elgin eventually gets free from Evil and he catches him with a side suplex, Elgin then drops Evil multiple times with back elbow strikes. Evil gets out of the ring and Elgin takes him out with a suicide dive, Elgin gets Evil in the ring before landing a slingshot double stomp. Elgin then hits Evil with a German suplex for a near fall, Elgin traps Evil in the corner before landing a plethora of clothesline strikes. Elgin eventually drops Evil with a running clothesline in the corner, Evil uses a referee distraction to nail Elgin with a side kick to the midsection. Evil cracks Elgin with a running bulldog for a near fall, Evil starts wrenching away on the injured arm of Elgin. Elgin gets trapped in the ropes and Evil kicks his injured arm, Evil then drops Elgin arm first on the top rope.

Evil propels Elgin injured arm first from the ring apron to the barricade, Evil waits for Elgin to get back in the ring before landing a bronco buster for a near fall. Elgin and Evil exchange clotheslines until Elgin nails him with a release German suplex, Evil recovers and he hits Elgin with Darkness Falls for a near fall. Elgin blocks Everything Is Evil before hitting Evil with a falcon arrow, Elgin and Evil have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Evil ends the exchange by destroying Elgin with a lariat, Elgin recovers and he nails a spinning Evil with a super kick. Evil recovers and he nails Elgin with a release German suplex, Elgin responds by cracking Evil with a lariat. Elgin gets Evil on the top rope and he follows him up there, Elgin then plants Evil with a superplex for a near fall.

Elgin then hits Evil with a buckle bomb followed by a splash mountain, Elgin then hits Evil with the Elgin Bomb for the three count.

Winner: Michael Elgin

NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Minoru Suzuki

The match begins with Suzuki attacking Tanahashi with a striking combination, Tanahashi misses a drop kick and Suzuki looks for the rear naked choke. Suzuki then nails a charging Tanahashi with a drop kick to the knee, Suzuki immediately applies the heel hook to a downed Tanahashi. Suzuki transitions to a knee bar against Tanahashi, Suzuki reapplies the knee bar on Tanahashi after dragging him back to the middle of the ring. Suzuki transitions into an ankle lock against the downed Tanahashi, Tanahashi looks to escape and Suzuki reapplies the knee bar. Suzuki transitions back to the ankle lock against Tanahashi, Suzuki then goes from an STF to a single leg crab on Tanahashi. Suzuki then applies the achilles lock to Tanahashi, Tanahashi eventually makes it to the ropes to end the agony.

Suzuki immediately attacks Tanahashi with a plethora of strikes, Tanahashi recovers and nails Suzuki with a dragon screw leg whip. Suzuki fights back and Tanahashi nails him with a leaping forearm strike, Tanahashi goes for a swanton bomb and Suzuki gets out of the way before landing a penalty kick. Suzuki reapplies the achilles lock to a downed Tanahashi, Suzuki transitions to a figure four leg lock against Tanahashi. Tanahashi eventually gets to the ropes to break the hold, Suzuki gets up and kicks away at a downed Tanahashi. Tanahashi and Suzuki have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Suzuki destroys Tanahashi with a huge striking combination. Suzuki catches Tanahashi in the rear naked choke, Suzuki goes for the Gotch Styles Pile Driver and he winds up crushing Tanahashi with a knee strike instead.

Tanahashi surprises Suzuki with a few roll ups for a few near falls, Tanahashi escapes the rear naked choke to nail Suzuki with an invrted dragon screw leg whip. Tanahashi follows that up by nailing Suzuki with a sling blade for a near fall, Tanahashi catches Suzuki with a pair of High Fly Flows for the three count.

Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi

NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A Match: Kazuchika Okada vs. Jay White

The match begins with both competitors quickly going for their finishers, White gets the early edge by nailing Okada with some chops. Okada recovers and he gets White down with a headlock, White gets free and he goes to the top rope. Okada drags White of the top rope with a side headlock, Okada uses a drop kick to knock White to the arena floor. Okada goes out of ye ring to throw White into the barricade, Okada then knocks White over the barricade with a boot to the face. Okada follows White into the crowd while landing some more strikes, Okada gets White back to ringside before throwing him into the ring post. White recovers to nail Okada with a Saito Suplex on the arena floor, White then throws Okada into the barricade a few times.

White waits for Okada to get up before throwing him into the barricade again, White gets Okada back in the ring before eating some forearm strikes. White corners Okada before landing a running European uppercut for the near fall, White then chokes Okada on the bottom rope. White gets Okada to the ring apron before attacking him with elbow strikes, White rips the ring skirt from the ring and he chokes Okada with it. White gets back into the ring and he nails Okada with a chop for a near fall, White wrenches away on the arm of a downed Okada. Okada fights back and White shoves him back to the mat below, White nails Okada with a pump handle back breaker for a near fall. White keeps Okada down while applying the Muta Lock to him, Okada eventually makes it to the ropes to get free.

Okada gets angry and he destroys White with forearm strikes in the corner, Okada then hits White with a DDT. Okada follows that up with a series of back elbow strikes against White, White fights back and Okada catches him with a flapjack for a near fall. Okada then hits White with a top rope high cross body for a near fall, White recovers to nail Okada with a Saito Suplex. White follows that up by nailing Okada with a series of head and arm suplexes, White catches Okada with a twisting brain buster for a near fall. Okada recovers and he applies the cobra clutch to White, White gets free and he applies a modified cobra clutch to Okada. Okada eventually gets to the ropes to break the submission hold, Okada recovers and nails White with a modified neck breaker.

Okada follows that up by cracking White with a shotgun drop kick, Okada then crushes White with a top rope elbow drop. Okada goes for the Rainmaker and White counters with a flat liner, White then hits Okada with a German suplex for a near fall. White waits for Okada to get up before landing some chops, White drops Okada with a lariat for a near fall. White follows that up by nailing Okada with a Saito Suplex that sent him to the arena floor, White follows that up by suplexing Okada into the barricade. White gets Okada back in the ring before bring a chair into the ring, White shoves the referee down and Okada drop kicks the chair into White?s face. Okada nails White with a second drop kick before landing a tombstone pile driver, Okada hits White with a Rainmaker as White dropped the referee.

White escapes a tombstone pile driver to nail Okada with a low blow, White grabs the steel chair and he attacks Okada with it. White nails Okada with the Blade Runner for the three count.
