Welcome to Fightful’s coverage of Lucha Underground. This week, we find out more details about Ultima Lucha Cuatro and the Rabbit Tribe continue to make their presence known inside the Temple as we inch closer to the end of the season.
We start with Aerostar and Melissa Santos outside talking about Fenix’s transformation. Aerostar regrets bringing Fenix back to life and Santos is confident that she can bring Fenix back to normal, but Aerostar claims that he is too far gone to be saved at this point.
Joey Ryan, Ivelisse and XO Lishus vs. The Rabbit Tribe (Paul London, El Bunny and White Rabbit):
The match starts London and Bunny circling the outside of the ring to corner their opponents. London and Bunny swiftly enter the ring take down all three opponents and the match officially starts with London and Ivelisse in the ring. Ivelisse hits two straight arm drags to London followed by a couple of stomps to London’s chest. Both El Bunny and Lishus tag in. Bunny ducks under a kick from Lishus then hits a springboard flying headbutt. Bunny then proceeds to kick Lishus a couple of times and London tags in to hit a couple of knees to Lishus’ ribs.
Lishus goes for the sunset flip and London kicks out at two. Ivelisse tags in and clothesline London then german suplexes both London and Bunny in one fell swoop. Ryan tags in and he and Ivelisse throw London to Lishus where Lishus traps his opponent’s head between Lishus’ rear end. Lishus hits a hind kick and then superkicks from Ryan and Ivelisse puts London in trouble. Bunny tags in and takes out both Lishus and Ivelisse. White Rabbit tags in and is unaffected by Ryan’s two superkicks. Rabbit suplexes Ryan, then takes out a white glove and puts it on his right hand. Rabbit then goes for a Mandible Claw on Ryan and Ryan passes out, forcing the referee to end the match.

Coming out of the commercial break, Matt Stryker announces that Ultima Lucha Cuatro will start on October 31 and it will be a two-week event. Three matches have been confirmed for the Ultima Lucha Cuatro: The Mack vs. Mil Muertes in a Deathmatch, Dragon Azteca Jr. vs. Fenix in a two out of three falls match and Marty “The Moth” Martinez vs. Pentagon Dark for the Lucha Underground Championship.
Killshot vs. Son of Havoc
Killshot starts off by attacking Havoc. Havoc then throws a pair of strikes to Killshot’s body. Both men go to the outside of the ring. Killshot has Havoc in a fireman’s carry then throws Havoc to the guardrail. Both men are back in the ring and Killshot steps on Havoc’s left hand then stomps on his left arm. Killshot then hits a pair chops at Havoc, but Havoc throws a series of forearm strikes to Killshot. Killshot goes to the outside and Havoc hits a suicide dive to the outside.
Havoc throws Killshot back to the ring and then hits a top rope double stomp followed by a standing moonsault and Killshot kicks out at two. Havoc has Killshot in a fireman’s carry and Killshot nearly removes Havoc’s mask. Havoc then hits a cutter and Killshot kicks out at two once more. Killshot hits a Kill Stomp followed by a double underhook powerslam but Havoc kicks out at two. Havoc hits a forearm onto Killshot followed by two big boots. Killshot then hits a jumping knee to Havoc’s back. Killshot then tries to go throw for an arm bar, but Havoc escapes. Havoc counters another submission into a surprise pin and gets the victory.
Official result: Son of Havoc defeats Killshot
After the match, Killshot takes out Havoc and wraps the dog tags around his first and then punches Havoc. Killshot then takes out Havoc’s mask as the unmasked wrestler hides his face. Antonio Cueto comes out and admonishes Killshot for doing so and then books Killshot vs. Son of Havoc in a Mask vs. Mask match at Ultima Lucha Cuatro.
Marty “The Moth” Martinez is in the ring elated that he is the Lucha Underground Champion as the crowd chants “Zero Miedo.” Martinez said his journey started when he was humiliated by Sexy Star. Martinez then said he brought in Reclusa to take care of Sexy Star and takes out her mask. Martinez then said only one person has humiliated him more and that is Pentagon Dark because his arm was broken by the former champion. Martinez also said he hasn’t forgotten about one more person and that is his sister Mariposa. Martinez then stated that he wants his first title defense to be against her sister and Mariposa enters the ring for the match.
Marty “The Moth” Martinez vs. Mariposa: Lucha Underground Championship:
Mariposa headbutts Martinez and Martinez kicks her down low. Martinez throws clubbing blows to Mariposa’s back and then tries to rip her mask out, but only manages to take out a small piece of it. Martinez then continues to stomp on Mariposa and both are outside of the ring. Martinez throws Mariposa to a stack of wooden chairs. Martinez sends Mariposa’s head to the edge of the announcer’s table and Mariposa is bleeding from her forehead.
The champion then swings Mariposa’s head to the announcer’s table before proceeding to throw her back to the ring. Martinez goes for the pin, but Mariposa kicks out at two. Martinez continues to stomp away at Mariposa until she rolls out of the ring. Mariposa blocks Martinez’s attempt at throwing Mariposa to the walls and she does the same to Martinez. Martinez recovers then powerbombs Mariposa outside of the ring. Reclusa gives Martinez a steel chair, but Mariposa superkicks the chair to Martinez’s face and then low blows Martinez.
Mariposa then throws the chair to Martinez’s face multiple times. She then proceeds to throw nearly a dozen chairs to a writhing Martinez. Mariposa sends Martinez back to the ring, but the champion gets up. Mariposa then drop toe holds Martinez’s face to a chair. Mariposa hits a top rope missile dropkick and Martinez kicks out at two. Mariposa Samoan Drops Martinez onto the chair and went for the cover, but Martinez kicks out at two-and-a-half. Mariposa goes for the Butterfly Effect but Reclusa gets in and kicks Mariposa. Martinez recovers, then mocks Pentagon Dark by hitting Mariposa with the package piledriver the same way the former champion usually does and Martinez retains the title.
Official Result: Marty “The Moth” Martinez defeats Mariposa
After the match, Martinez states that he wants to face Pentagon Dark at Ultima Lucha Cuatro in a “Cero Miedo” match. Martinez then breaks Mariposa’s arm in the same manner Pentagon broke Martinez’s arm in the season opener.
Pentagon arrives in the Temple with chair in hand and chases Martinez away. Pentagon then closes the show by saying that he accepts the match proposal and that he will break Martinez’s bones.
