  • MATT HARDY is back, and so are the Hardy Boyz! Matt Hardy is in fantastic shape!

WWE United States Championship
R-Truth (c) (w/ Carmella) defeated Rey Mysterio and Andrade (w/ Zelina)
6.25/10

  • R-Truth is out in United States flag gear. He had to sit out there for like 6 minutes through a commercial and the Honky Tonk Man video.
  • R-Truth says John Cena was his inspiration as a child and wants to follow in his footsteps with the U.S. Title open challenge.
  • WWE was being oddly secretive backstage about R-Truth's opponent for it being Andrade or Rey. They both come out and try to fight R-Truth.
  • Truth asks what John Cena would do, and Carmella says he'd face both of them. Truth would prefer neither, but agrees.
  • Andrade powerbombs Truth to the floor and catches Rey sliding outside with a dropkick.
  • We come back to see Rey and Truth landing a DOOMSDAY HURACANRANA on Andrade. Amazing.
  • Carmella yanks Zelina off the apron HARD.
  • Andrade cracked Rey with an all-time great spinning back elbow.
  • Rey gets the 619, but is rolled up by Truth and pinned.
  • Andrade and Rey attack each other but Andrade dips out.

WOOOOOOOOOO

  • Charlotte Flair is out and runs down Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch. She says she saved WrestleMania.
  • She doesn't like Ronda Rousey disrespecting the championship, and she'll pick it up and accept it when awarded it on WWE Raw.
  • Charlotte uses Rousey's own words against her from November when she said champions don't get to pick and choose who they face and should step aside if they can't handle it.

Aleister Black & Ricochet defeated Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev (w/ Lana)

  • Lana approaches Aleister Black and Ricochet, and says she doesn't see the fuss. Ricochet is still playing the "ordinary" guy. Huh. They make Black give a weird promo that ends in his catchphrase.
  • Ricochet is isolated and worked over early before making a hot tag to Black.
  • I didn't realize how much I needed Aleister Black vs. Nakamura until now.
  • Ricochet hot tags in and gets a nice string of offense before Rusev stops him with a swinging slam.
  • Nakamura hits a great sleeper suplex but walks into Black Mass. New boys win.

Other stuffs

  • AJ Styles says he's gonna stop listening to critics and step up to the next challenger. Randy Orton takes exception to "the house that AJ Styles built."
  • Lacey Evans does her thing and leaves.

Kevin Owens & Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan & Rowan
6/10

  • Rowan doesn't get enough credit for always trying to evolve in the ring.
  • Kofi gets beat up a little, but Owens does an INSANE tope con hilo to the outside for his first spot back.
  • We come back and Kofi is being worked over again.
  • Bryan does an amazing superplex to Kofi. The Lebell Lock is applied.
  • Kofi gets to the ropes and Mushroom Stomps Bryan to interrupt the dropkicks.

  • Rowan throws KO over the announce table, and Kofi takes out Rowan with a Trust Fall.
  • Owens wins with a Stunner!!!

Rating guide

10- Perfect, 9- MOTY Territory, 8- Excellent, 7- Great, 6- Good, 5- Average to above average, 4- Slightly below average, 3 or below: Poor

Each match starts at a 5 and slides up and down based on entertainment, execution, time, environment, reaction and stakes. The ratings are in no way an indication of a "star rating," which is a completely different system. A standard, non-offensive "TV match" lands at a 5.The gap between 5.75-6 is generally the largest, with anything reaching 6 being recommended viewing.
These are opinions, and incredibly inconsistent ones. Don't take them too seriously, and have (and share) your own!
