Match By Match Recap

Hirai Kawato & Kota Ibushi vs. Suzuki-Gun (El Desparado & Zack Sabre Jr.)

The match begins with Sabre Jr doing a little chain wrestling with Kawato, Sabre Jr drags Kawato to the mat before wrenching away on his arm. Sabre Jr locks Kawato in the cravat while draggin him back to the ground, Sabre Jr then locks Kawato in the single leg crab and then transitioning into the STF. Desparado tags in and he stomps away on a downed Kawato, Desparado drops Kawato and he holds him in a chin lock. Desparado then transitions into the camel clutch against Kawato, Kawato tries fighting back and Desparado quickly drops him. Desparado attacks Kawato with chops before tagging Sabre Jr back in, Kawato eventually drops a charging Sabre Jr with a drop kick.

Ibushi gets the tag and he has a striking exchange with Sabre Jr, Ibushi drops Sabre Jr and then catches him with a standing moonsault. Sabre Jr recovers and then Ibushi takes him down anyway with a German suplex, Sabre Jr nails Ibushi with a kick and then he goes to work on his arm. Ibushi levels Sabre Jr with forearm strikes, Kawato tags in and he knocks Desparado off the ring apron. Kawato then nails Sabre Jr with a few strikes before getting a near fall on him, Sabre Jr recovers and clobbers Kawato with a penalty kick. Desparado tags in and Kawato nails him with a flying forearm strike, Kawato then catches Desparado with a roll up for a near fall. Ibushi interferes and he catches Desparado with a missile drop kick, Kawato nails Desparado with a suplex for anear fall.

Desparado recovers and he nails a charging Kawato with a spine buster, Desparado locks Kawato in the Bostom crab as Sabre Jr locks Ibushi in the octopus stretch. Kawato gets to the ropes to break the hold, Desparado nails Kawato with the Red Curse for the three count.

Winners: Suzuki-Gun (El Desparado & Zack Sabre Jr.)

Tiger Mask IV, Yuji Nagata & Togi Makabe vs. Chaos (Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & Gedo)

The match begins with Nagata attacking Goto with a few kicks, Goto then starts working over the arm of Nagata. Goto and Nagata get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Nagata then nails Goto with a drop kick to the leg. Makabe and Ishii get the tags from their respective partners, Makabe and Ishii take turns nailing each other with shoulder tackles. Gedo distracts Makabe and that allows Ishii to catch him with a power slam, Ishii traps Makabe in the corner and he attacks him with chops. Gedo tags in and he stomps away on a downed Makabe, Goto tags in and he attacks Makabe with strikes in the corner.

Goto then drops Makabe with an back elbow strike for a near fall, a short brawl breaks out between everybody in the match. Goto drops Makabe again before locking him in the single leg crab, Ishii tags in and he nails Makabe with a suplex for a near fall. Ishii and Makabe get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Makabe eventually drops Ishii with a clothesline. Goto and Nagata get the tags from their respective partners, Goto catches Nagata with a spinning heel kick in the corner. Goto and Nagata exchange forearm strikes in the middle of the ring, Nagata then hits Goto with an exploder suplex. Mask IV tags in and he catches Goto with a missile drop kick, Goto recovers to drop Mask IV with a spinning heel kick. Gedo tags in and Mask IV nails him with a series of kicks, Mask IV hits Gedo with a tiger driver for a near fall.

A brawl breaks all between all the competitors in the match, Mask IV catches Gedo with a few roll ups before getting the three count.

Winners: Tiger Mask IV, Yuji Nagata & Togi Makabe

Hiroshi Tanahashi & David Finlay vs. Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens)

The match begins with Tanahashi doing his best to get Fale down and he is failing at that, Fale goes for the butt drop and Tanahashi gets out of the way before nailing him with a drop kick. Fale gets up and he traps Tanahashi in the corner before tagging Owens in, Tanahashi escapesand he tags Finlay in. Finlay works over Owens with the headlock, Finlay then drops a charging Owens with a forearm strike before tagging Tanahashi in. Tanahashi and Finlay nail Owens with a series of double team maneuvers, Tanahashi traps Owens in the corner before going to the middle rope. Fale interferes by dragging Tanahashi out of the ring, Fale stretches the arm of Tanahashi around the ring post.

Fale then wraps the injured arm of Tanahashi around the barricade, Owens gets Tanahashi back in the ring and he works over his injured arm. Fale tags in and he locks Tanahashi in the crowbar submission, Owens tags back in and he works over the hurt arm of Tanahashi. Owens looks for the super kick and Tanahashi counters with a dragon screw leg whip, Finlay tags in and he nails Owens with a leaping European uppercut. Finlay drops Owens before nailing him with another leaping European uppercut, Owens recovers by catching Finlay with a back breaker. Owens knocks Tanahashi off the ring apron and Finlay hits him with a back body drop, Fale tags in and he nails Tanahashi off the ring apron again.

Fale misses a charge to the corner and Finlay catches him with a middle rope European uppercut for a near fall, Owens interferes and that allows Fale to nail Finlay with a lariat for a three count. Fale nails Finlay with the Grenade for the three count.

Winners: Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens)

Chaos (Yoshi-Hashi & Jado) vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito & Bushi)

The match begins with a brawl breaking out once Chaos got into the ring, Yoshi-Hashi stays in the ring and works over Naito. Yoshi-Hashi eventually drops Naito with a shoulder tackle, Jado tags in and then Naito tags Bushi into the match. Jado traps Bushi in the corner and he assaults him with some chops, Jado mocks Bushi and Naito interferes by nailing him with a drop kick. Bushi then starts ripping away at the face of Jado, Naito returns and he stomps away on Jado alongside Bushi. Bushi and Naito then attack Bushi with a series of double team moves, Bushi takes off his shirt and he chokes Jado with it. Jado recovers and he drops a charging Bushi with a clothesline, Yoshi-Hashi and Naito get the tags from their respective partners.

Yoshi-Hashi drops Naito before nailing him with some running chops, Yoshi-Hashi then puts Naito on the top rope before catching him with a drop kick. Naito then catches Yoshi-Hashi with an inverted atomic drop s followed by an enzaguri, Naito follows that up by nailing Yoshi-Hashi with a tornado DDT. Bushi tags in and he nails Yoshi-Hashi with a missile drop kick, Yoshi-Hashi recovers and drops Bushi with a mule kick. Jado tags in and he double teams Bushi alongside Yoshi-Hashi, Yoshi-Hashi and Naito start brawling on the arena floor. Naito hits the ring and he nails Jado with a slingshot drop kick, Yoshi-Hashi hits the ring and he drops Naito with a drop kick. Bushi then hits Yoshi-Hashi with a lung blower, Jado traps Bushi in the cross face and then Bushi rolls him up out of nowhere for the three count.

Winners: Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito & Bushi)

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Satoshi Kojima vs. Juice Robinson

The match begins with Robinson doing some work on the arm of Kojima, Robinson then drops Kojima with a shoulder tackle. Robinson and Kojima both go for their finishers and neither connect, Kojima ducks a leg lariat before nailing Robinson with a DDT. Kojima then starts attacking Robinson with some Mongolian chops, Kojima then knocks Robinson out of the ring and onto the arena floor. Kojima works over Robinson before nailing him with a DDT on the ring apron, Robinson recovers and he throws Kojima into the barricade before catching him with a drop kick. Robinson throws Kojima back into the ring before stomping away on him, Robinson then hits Kojima with a back suplex.

Robinson follows that up by hitting Kojima with a senton bomb for a near fall, Robinson then attacks Kojima with a few chops. Kojima fights back and he cracks Robinson with a roaring elbow strike, Kojima traps Robinson in the corner before landing a plethora of chops on him. Kojima then drops Robinson with a flying forearm arm, Robinson recovers quickly to drop Kojima and he misses the follow up cannonball in the corner. Kojima hits Robinson with a top rope elbow strike for a near fall, Robinson and Kojima have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Robinson then cracks a charging Kojima with a spine buster, Kojima rolls to the corner and Robinson catches him with the cannonball.

Robinson goes to the top rope and he catches Kojima with a high cross body for a near fall, Kojima escapes a power bomb to hit Robinson with a Koji Cutter. Kojima places Robinson on the top rope and then Robinson knocks him off the ropes, Robinson stands up on the ropes and Kojima crotches him. Kojima crushes Robinson with a middle rope Koji Cutter, Kojima nails Robinson from behind with the lariat after escaping Pulp Friction. Kojima then hits Robinson with a brain buster for a near fall, Kojima crushes a charging Robinson with another lariat for another near fall. Robinson then cracks a swinging Kojima with a left followed by Pulp Friction for the three count.

Winner: Juice Robinson

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Michael Elgin vs. Tama Tonga

The match begins with Tonga trying to attack Elgin with shoulder tackles, Elgin eventually drops Tonga with a shoulder tackle of his own. Elgin follows that up by catching Tonga with a power slam, Elgin then nails Tonga with a delayed verticle suplex. Tonga drops a charging Elgin with a slingshot maneuver to the midsection, Elgin rolls to the arena floor and Tonga throws him into the barricade. Tonga then catches Elgin with a snap suplex on the arena floor, Tonga rolls back into the ring and he waits for Elgin to return as well. Tonga drops Elgin and then he misses the follow up elbow drop, Elgin and Tonga have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring.

Elgin then catches a charging Tonga with a cross body block, Elgin slams Tonga and then catches him with a slingshot splash. Elgin waits for Tonga to stand up before nailing him with a series of clotheslines, Elgin then hits Tonga with a falcon arrow for a near fall. Elgin then grabs Tonga and he nails him with a series of German suplexes, Elgin continues attacking Tonga and he catches him with an enzaguri followed by a death valley driver for a near fall. Elgin gets Tonga up and he levels him with a series of clotheslines, Tonga recovers and he ventually drops Elgin. Tonga then rocks Elgin with a series of strikes, Tonga then hits Elgin with a jumping DDT for a near fall.

Elgin recovers and he clobbers a charging Tonga with a lariat, Tonga recovers and nails Elgin with an Alabama slam for a near fall. Tonga goes for the ace crusher and Elgin easily blocks it, Tonga then cracks a charging Elgin with a drop kick. Tonga then hits Elgin with a Stun Gun and Elgin rolls out of the ring, Tonga throws Elgin back into the ring for a near fall. Elgin recovers and he places Tonga on the top rope before following him up there, Tonga counters a top rope move into a Stun Gun on Elgin for the three count.

Winner: Tama Tonga

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Sanada vs. Evil

The match begins with Evil kicking Sanada right after a handshake, Sanada then sends a charging Evil to the arena floor. Evil grabs some chairs and he brings them in the ring, Evil cracks Sanada with a chair shot and then knocks him out of the ring. Evil meets him out there and he tosses Sanada into the barricade, Evil wraps a chair around the head of Sanada and he cracks him with another chair. Sanada gets to the ring apron and Evil attacks him a little further, Sanada gets all the way back in the ring and Evil nails him with a side slam for a near fall. Evil drops Sanada again before nailing him with a senton bomb for a near fall, Sanada recovers and drops a charging Evil with a drop kick.

Sanada then puts Evil in the Paradise Lock before nailing him with a drop kick, Evil tries fighting back and Sanada rips away at his face. Evil eventually drops Sanada and Sanada falls into the corner, Evil then hits Sanada with a fisherman buster suplex for a near fall. Sanada goes to the ring apron and Evil drops him neck first on the top rope, Evil goes to the top rope and Sanada swings away at him. Evil eventually knocks Sanada down and to the arena floor, Sanada gets back up and he catches Evil with an ace crusher from the ring apron to the arena floor. Sanada and Evil both beat the count back into the ring, Sanada and Evil exchange blows in the middle of the ring.

Evil eventually drops a charging Sanada with a lariat for a near fall, Sanada recovers and he goes for Skull End. Evil quickly escapes and he propels Sanada into the turnbuckle, Evil hits Sanada with Darkness Falls for a near fall. Sanada gets back up and he drops Evil with a springboard drop kick followed by a TKO for a near fall, Sanada goes for an misses the moonsault attempt. Evil locks Sanada in the Banshee Muzzle and Sanada gets to the ropes, Evil then crushes Sanada with a lariat for another near fall. Evil goes for the STO and Sanada nails him with a dragon suplex for a near fall, Sanada nails Evil with a kick and he goes for Skull End. Evil counters to break free and Sanada reapplies the hold. Evil escapes and Sanada reapplies it again and Evil barely gets to the ropes, Sanada then catches Evil with the moonsault for the three count.

Winner: Sanada

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Kazuchoka Okada vs. Toru Yano

The match begins with Yano instantly playing his tricks on Okada, Yano then shakes hands with Okada and proceeds to slap him in the head. Jado distracts Okada and Yano knocks him to the arena floor, Yano then throws Okada into the ring post. Okada recovers and drops Yano before throwing him into the barricade, Okada then bends Yano’s head in the barricade. Yano gets back in the ring and Okada catches him with a neck breaker for a near fall, Okada slams Yano before catching him with a slingshot swanton bomb. Okada slows things down by applying the chin lock to Yano, Yano escapes and he throws the referee into Okada.

Yano then clobbers Okada with the turnbuckle pad before throwing it at Gedo, Okada gets up and immediately drops Yano. Yano recovers and throws Okada into the exposed corner, Yano catches Okada with an atomic drop before sending him into the exposed corner for a near fall. Yano then charges at Okada and winds up nailing the exposed corner, Okada catches Yano with a modified neck breaker. Yano rolls out of the ring and he attacks Gedo, Okada arrives and he knocks Yano into the crowd with a clothesline. Yano then pushes Jado into Okada and then everybody nails themselves with low blows, Okada and Yano beat the count into the ring. Okada then drops a charging Yano with a drop kick, Yano counters the Rainmaker with a few rolls ups for a few near falls.

Okada then catches Yano with a few European uppercuts, Okada drops Yano and he applies the STF to himand Yano eventually taps out.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block B: Minoru Suzuki vs. Kenny Omega

The match begins with Omega assaulting Suzuki with a series of strikes, Suzuki backs Omega into the corner before just stomping away on him. Omega gets back up and he has a forearm strike exchange with Suzuki, Omega knocks Suzuki out of the ring with a hurricarana. Suzuki returns to the ring and nails a charging Omega with a boot to the face, Omega goes to the ring apron and Suzuki swings away at him. Suzuki then goes for the triangle choke in the ropes, Suzuki then knocks Omega to the arena floor after landing a penalty kick. Suzuki trips up Omega and he wraps his leg around the barricade while pulling on it, Suzuki drags Omega into the crowd and he smashes his face on a chair.

Suzuki then drops Omega knee first on the top of the bleacher seat, Omega finds a chair and he nails Suzuki with it multiple times. Suzuki follows Omega back into the ring with a chair and Omega quickly drops him, Omega nails Suzuki with a Finlay roll. Omega then catches Suzuki with a one legged moonsault for a near fall, Suzuki and Omega exchange blows in the middle of the ring. Suzuki goes for the sleeper hold and Omega escapes to hit him with a cross legged back breaker, Omega goes for the V Trigger and Suzuki throws the referee in the way. Omega eventually connects with a V Trigger on Suzuki, the whole Suzuki-Gun faction hits the ring and they attack Omega.

Chase Owens hits the ring and he gets nailed with a chair shot, Fale hits the ring and he takes out some Suzuki-Gun members. Bullet Club members and Suzuki-Gun members brawl on the outside of the ring, Omega does a dive from the top rope onto the Suzuki-Gun members in the crowd. Omega looks for a missile drop kick and Suzuki catches him in a knee bar, Omega gets to the ropes to break the hold after a long struggle. Omega fights back by nailing Suzuki with some chops, Suzuki and Omega exchange some forearm strikes. Omega then drops Suzuki with a back suplex and then he drops him again with a boot to the face, Suzuki gets up and assaults Omega with a series of strikes.

Omega recovers and he catches Suzuki with a German suplex for a near fall, Omega goes for the One Winged Angel and Suzuki counters into a knee bar. Suzuki transitions into an ankle lock against Omega, Suzuki then locks Omega in the sleeper hold. Omega uses a jaw breaker to get out of the sleeper hold from Suzuki, Suzuki gets back up and he reapplies the sleeper hold to Omega. Suzuki goes for the Gotch Style Pile Driver and Omega escapes to nail him with a V Trigger, Suzuki nails a charging Omega with a drop kick and both go down. Omega gets up and he cracks Suzuki with multiple knee strikes for a near fall, Omega then lands a semi-reverse hurricarana against Suzuki.

Omega nails Suzuki with a couple of V Triggers followed by the One Winged Angel for the three count.
