New Japan Pro-Wrestling held its NJPW New Year Dash event on January 5 from Sumida Ward General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. The event aired on NJPW World.

- NJPW World Television Championship: Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) def. Ryusuke Taguchi

- Matt Riddle, via video package, challenged Tanahashi after the match. Tanahashi accepted but said he didn't know who Riddle is.

- Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto) def. Kaito Kiyomiya & Ryohei Oiwa

- Guerrillas of Destiny (Hikuleo & ELP) def. Young Blood (Oskar Leube & Yuto Nakashima)

- Chase Owens attacked GOD and challenged them for the IWGP Tag Team and NJPW Strong Tag Team Titles. He said KENTA would be his partner.

- House of Torture (Dick Togo, SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi & Ren Narita) def. Shota Umino, El Desperado, Master Wato, Tama Tonga, Tomoaki Honma, & Togi Makabe

- EVIL cut Tama's hair after handcuffing him.

- United Empire (Will Ospreay, Franceso Akira, TJP, HENARE, & Jeff Cobb) vs. Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors, Alex Coughlin, Gabe Kidd, Drilla Moloney, & David Finlay) ended in a no contest after the two teams got into a blood-filled brawl.

- Ospreay announced February 11 was his last match in NJPW and that he would team with United Empire against Bullet Club. He allowed Finlay to choose the stipulation. Finlay picked a cage match.

- Just 5 Guys (SANADA, TAKA Michinoku, Taichi, DOUKI, Yuya Uemura) def. Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, & Tetsuya Naito)

- SANADA challenges Naito to one more match. Naito simply leaves the ring.

- KOPW 2024 Championship 10-Minute Pinfall Scramble Match: Taiji Ishimori defeated Great-O-Khan, Toru Yano, & YOH to win the provisional title.

- TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr, Kosei Fujita, Shane Haste, & Mikey Nichols) def. Bryan Danielson, Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, & Jon Moxley

- Zack Sabre Jr issues a challenge to Bryan Danielson.
