Match By Match Recap

Kyle O’Reilly, David Finlay & Ricochet vs. Jushin “Thunder” Liger, Tiger Mask IV & Henare

The match begins with Ricochet catching Liger with a kick to the midsection, Liger then drops Ricochet with a shoulder tackle. Ricochet sends a charging Liger into the turnbuckle before nailing him with a 619, Ricochet then knocks Liger out of the ring before catching him with a suicide dive. Finlay tags in and he mauls Liger with strikes in the corner, Liger is then triple team by the opposing team for a near fall. O’Reilly tags in and he attacks Liger with knee strikes to the midsection, Liger nails a charging O’Reilly with a boot to the face that is followed by a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Mask IV tags in and he catches O’Reilly with a roll up for a near fall, Mask IV traps O’Reilly in the corner while landing some strikes, O’Reilly recovers to hit Mask IV with a back suplex before applying a knee bar.

O’Reilly releases the hold to nail Mask IV with a series of strikes, Mask IV catches O’Reilly with a tiger driver from out of nowhere. Henare and Finlay get the tags from their respective partners, Henare drops Finlay with a shoulder tackle before applying a Boston crab. Ricochet tries interfering and Liger locks him in the Gory Special, Mask IV hits the ring and he applies a submission to O’Reilly as well. All the submission holds are eventually released as Finlay and Henare exchange forearm strikes, Finlay and Ricochet hit Henare with a fireman’s carry into a back breaker for a near fall. Finlay and Ricochet nail Henare with a Finlay Roll into a shooting star press for the three count.

Winners: Kyle O’Reilly, David Finlay & Ricochet

Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi & Hangman Page) vs. Hunter Club (Yoshi Tatsu & Billy Gunn)

The match begins with Takahashi kicking Tatsu in the midsection and applying a headlock, Tatsu escapes to apply a headlock of his own. Tatsu then drops Takahashi with a shoulder tackle followed by a hip toss and a drop kick, Takahashi nails a charging Tatsu with a boot to the face. Page interferes and he drops Tatsu by draping his neck across the top rope, Bullet Club then lays out both opponents on the arena floor. Tatsu is thrown back into the ring and Takahashi gets a near fall on a pin attempt, Page tags in and he attacks Tatsu with chops. Page then mauls Tatsu in the corner as the referee admonishes him, Page then cracks Tatsu with a drop kick before slingshotting him into the middle rope.

Bullet Club then double teams Tatsu with a double leg drop as Takahashi tags back in, Tatsu recovers and he kicks a charging Takahashi in the face. Gunn tags in and he attacks Takahashi with a series of clotheslines, Gunn then sends a charging Page out of the ring and onto the arena floor. Gunn then hits Takahashi with the avalanche in the corner, Takahashi tries taking over and Gunn nails him with a power slam. Tatsu and Page get the tags from their respective partners, Tatsu then hits Page with a spinning heel kick. Takahashi interferes and he nails Tatsu with a DDT on the arena floor. Gunn comes in illegally and Page crushes him with a clothesline, Page hits Tatsu with the Rite Of Passage to get a three count.

Winners: Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi & Hangman Page)

Bullet Club (Adam Cole, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) vs. Chaos (Yoshi-Hashi, Rocky Romero & Trent Berretta)

The match begins with Yoshi-Hashi and Cole locking up until Yoshi-Hashi locks him in a wrist lock, Cole then kicks Yoshi-Hashi in the rib cage before dropping him with a shoulder tackle. Yoshi-Hashi recovers and he drops Cole with a hard chop to the chest, Yoshi-Hashi drags Cole to the corner before allowing RPG Vice to hit him with a double knee strike. The Young Bucks try interfering and RPG Vice sends them both out of the ring, Romero then hits Cole with a suicide dive and then Matt follows suit with a suicide dive of his own, Nick follows that up with a dive of his own. Berretta is thrown into the ring and Cole works him over in the corner, Berretta looks for a springboard move and Cole nails him with a back stabber for a near fall.

Matt tags in and Cole holds Berretta in a camel clutch while the others taunt him, Berretta starts fighting back and Matt counters his DDT by tossing him across the ring. Matt then misses a middle rope leg drop and Berretta fails to tag his partners in, Matt continues punishing Berretta until Romero interferes and stops his opponents from double teaming Berretta. Berretta nails Matt with a tombstone piledriver, Romero and Nick get the tags that follows up with Romero hitting Nick with a hurricarana. Romero then hits both of the Young Bucks with clotheslines, Cole and Nick then hit Romero with a double super kick. Cole hits Romero with the Last Shot and then Nick hits him with a shining wizard for a near fall, Cole gets hit by a double knee strike from RPG Vice. Yoshi-Hashi tags in and he attacks everybody on the opposing team, Yoshi-Hashi catches Cole with a swanton bomb for a near fall.

Romero knocks both Young Bucks out of the ring, Cole then knocks Romero out of the ring before nailing Berretta with a destroyer. Yoshi-Hashi then hits Cole with a neck breaker before eating a super kick from Nick, Cole then cracks Yoshi-Hashi with a super kick. Cole and Matt then hit Yoshi-Hashi with a double super kick, Cole goes for the Last Shot and Yoshi-Hashi rolls him up for the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Yoshi-Hashi, Rocky Romero & Trent Berretta)

After the match, Bullet Club attacks all three members of Chaos, Bullet Club then hits Yoshi-Hashi with Fatality.

Team 2000 (Cheeseburger, Hiro Saito, Scott Norton, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan) vs. Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Bone Soldier, Tama Tonga, Tonga Roa & Bad Luck Fale)

The match begins with Norton pretending to join Bullet Club before crushing Omega’s hand with a hand shake, Norton then lays out all of Bullet Club with chops and clotheslines. Norton even drops Fale with a shoulder tackle after landing a few chops, Norton then launches Cheeseburger onto all of Bullet Club. Bullet Club catches Cheeseburger and they launch him back in the ring at Norton, Tenzan and Roa tag in. Tenzan quickly attacks Roa with some mongolian chops, Kojima hits the ring and he double teams Roa with Tenzan until Cheeseburger tags in. Cheeseburger hits Roa with a big splash for a near fall, Cheeseburger gets distracted and Roa crushes him in the corner. Tama tags in and he punishes Cheeseburger with strikes while in the corner, Cheeseburger tries fighting back and Tama nails him with a headbutt.

Cheeseburger looks for a sunset flip and he eventually drops Tama with a hurricarana, Tenzan tags in and he works over Tama in the corner. Tenzan then hits Tama with a running clothesline in the corner that is followed by a suplex for a near fall, Tama recovers and he drops Tenzan with a drop kick. Roa tags back in and he mauls Tenzan with strikes in the corner, Omega tags in and he catches Tenzan with an elbow drop for a near fall. Soldier tags in and he attacks Tenzan with a series of headbutts, Fale tags in and he nails Tenzan with strikes in the corner. Fale misses a charge in the corner and Kojima gets the tag, Soldier tags in as well and Kojima attacks him with his patented chops. Omega interferes and Kojima nails him with those chops as well, Saito hits the ring and he mauls Tama with stomps in the corner.

All members of Bullet Club are assaulted with a ton of chops by all the members of the opposing team, Fale eventually levels Kojima with a clothesline. Bullet Club takes over and they all take turns working over Kojima in the corner, Soldier then misses a dive onto Kojima. Kojima then hits Soldier with an ace crusher, Kojima and Tenzan then nail Soldier with a 3-D, Saito hits the ring and nails Soldier with a senton for a near fall. Kojima crushes Soldier with a lariat for the three count.

Winners: Team 2000 (Cheeseburger, Hiro Saito, Scott Norton, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan)

Kushida & Michael Elgin vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Niato & Hiromu Takahashi)

The match begins with Naito messing with Elgin before tagging Takahashi into the match, Elgin gets mad and he just tosses Takahashi across the ring. Takahashi charges at Elgin and Elgin catches him before nailing him with a overhead press slam, Naito tries interfering and Elgin just drops Takahashi with a forearm strike. Elgin traps Takahashi in the ropes before attacking him with a series of strikes, Elgin then knocks Naito into the barricade. Kushida interferes and he knocks Takahashi to the arena floor, Elgin then tosses Kushida onto both members of the opposition. Kushida throws Takahashi into the ring and Elgin looks to hit him with a suplex, but Naito interferes and he nails Elgin with a drop kick to the face. Takahashi then rips away at the injured eye of Elgin, Takahashi stomps on the face of Elgin as Naito attacks Kushida on the arena floor.

Elgin starts fighting back and Naito interferes by raking the eyes of Elgin, Naito tags in and he continues ripping at the face of Elgin. Elgin starts fighting back again and Naito again rips away at his face, Takahashi tags back in and Elgin winds up nailing him with an exploder suplex. Kushida tags in and he attacks Takahashi with a series of kicks followed by a handspring elbow strike, Naito comes in and Kushida cracks him with a drop kick to the face. Kushida then locks Takahashi in the Hoverboard Lock until Takahashi gets to the ropes, Kushida starts working over the injured arm of Takahashi. Takahashi recovers and he nails Kushida with a dragon screw leg whip, Naito tags in and he nails Kushida with a series of drop kicks. Naito then cracks Kushia with an enzaguri, Kushida recovers and he drops Naito with a pele kick before tagging Elgin in.

Elgin then levels Naito with a series of running clotheslines in the corner, Naito looks for his tornado DDT and Elgin counters with a falcon arrow for a near fall. Takahashi interferes in the match and Elgin nails him with a German suplex, Elgin attacks Naito with a chop before German suplexing him into the turnbuckle. Elgin then hits Takahashi with a death valley driver and they land on top of Naito, Kushida grabs Takahashi and they start battling on the arena floor. Elgin hits a dazed Naito with a super falcon arrow for another near fall, Takahashi interferes and Elgin nails him with a spinning back fist. Naito quickly attacks a distracted Elgin with a shining wizard and then he kicks Kushida in the balls, Naito follows that up by kicking Elgin in the balls. Dragon Lee comes out of nowhere to interfere in the match and he takes out both Los Ingobernables as the referee was knocked down, Elgin hits Naito with a discus lariat and a burning hammer to get the three count.

Winner: Kushida & Michael Elgin

After the match, Dragon Lee nails Takahashi with a modified falcon arrow before posing with the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title, Elgin also poses with the IWGP Intercontinental Title.

Katsuyori Shibata, Togi Makabe, Yuji Nagata, Toamoki Homna & Juice Robinson vs. Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, Hirooki Goto, Tomihiro Ishii & Toru Yano)

The match begins with Shibata taking down Ospreay and he uses some chain wrestling as well, Ospreay then kicks a taunting Shibata right in the face. Shibata gets angry and he mauls Ospreay with strikes, Ospreay recovers and he knocks Shibata out of the ring with a drop kick. Nagata tags in and Yano gets the tag in as well from Ospreay, Nagata starts kicking Yano in the legs a few times. Yano trips up Nagata before stomping on his back, Yano starts going to the ropes and Nagata nails him with a few strikes. Nagata then cracks Yano with a jumping enzaguri and a few follow up stomps, Homna tags in and he teams with Nagata to hit Yano with a double shoulder tackle. Homna slams Yano before connecting with a falling headbutt, Yano hits a charging Homna with an atomic drop before an all out brawl breaks out between everybody in the match.

Yano works over Homna in the ring as everybody else brawls throughout the crowd, Okada tags in and he nails Homna with a slingshot swanton bomb for a near fall. Goto tags in and he nails Homna with a kick to the back for another near fall, Goto slows things down further by holding Homna in a chin lock. Ospreay tags in and he stomps on the back of a downed Homna, Ishii tags in and he assaults Homna with a series of chops. Homna tries fighting back and Ishii levels him with a slap to the face, Ishii levels Homna in the corner with a running clothesline. Homna finally slows Ishii down after cracking him with a suplex, Yano interferes and Homna nails him with a DDT. Makabe tags in and he takes out all the members of Chaos with shoulder tackles and power slams, Yano attacks Makabe from behind. Makabe recovers to nail Ishii and Yano with more clotheslines, Makabe and Homna hit Ishii and Yano with northern lights suplexes.

Ishii then catches Makabe with a back body drop ebfore both men just start clotheslining each other, Ishii eventually wins the battle by dropping Makabe with a clothesline. Okada tags back in and he slams Makabe before going to the top rope, Okada gets off the ropes and makabe crushes hi with a clothesline. Robinson tags in and he nails Okada with clotheslines followed by a cannonball in the corner, Robinson then hits Okada with a gut buster for a near fall. Robinson looks for the Unprettier and Okada nails him with a modified back breaker instead, Goto tags in and he crushes Robinson with forearm strikes and a spinning heel kick. Goto hits Robinson with a Saito suplex for a near fall, Robinson recovers and he hits a charging Goto with a leg lariat. Robinson follows that up by attacking Goto with chops and jabs, Goto gets angry and he nails Robinson with a lariat. Ospreay then hits Shibata with a suicide dive as everybody brawls on the arena floor, the brawl spills into the ring and its complete chaos.

Okada then nails Homna with a drop kick before Goto and Robinson are left alone in the ring, Robinson then drops a charging Goto with a lariat. Shibata hits the ring and he nails Goto with a soccer kick to the face, Robinson then hits Goto with the Unprettier to get the three count.

Winners: Katsuyori Shibata, Togi Makabe, Yuji Nagata, Toamoki Homna & Juice Robinson

After the match, Suzuki Gun hits the ring from out of nowhere and they lay out Chaos. RPG Vice hit the ring and they start brawling with Suzuki Gun as well, Gedo tries helping Chaos and he gets a beating as well. Minoru Suzuki hits the ring and he puts Okada out with a rear naked choke, Suzuki then hits Okada with a pile driver. Suzuki grabs the microphone and he challenges Okada to a title match, Suzuki Gun poses with all the belts that Chaos holds.

IWGP NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Title Match: Los Ingobernables (Evil, Bushi & Sanada) (Champions) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Ryusuke Taguchi & Manabu Nakanishi

The match begins with Evil jumping Nakanishi from behind, Nakanishi responds by nailing both Sanada and Evil with chops. Sanada and Evil then eat a double northern lights suplex from Nakanishi, Tanahashi tags in and he works over Sanada with a headlock. Sanada misses a charge into the corner and Tanahashi takes him down to work on his arm, Taguchi tags in and he attacks Sanada with hip attacks. Sanada then hits an attacks Taguchi with an atomic drop before tagging Bushi in, Bushi then nails a ducking Taguchi with a drop kick to the face. Taguchi recovers to hit Bushi with a hip attack, Evil interferes and he cracks Taguchi with a chair to the back. A brawl breaks out on the arena floor and Evil smashes Tanahashi’s leg in the barricade, Evil also attacks Tanahashi with chair shots to the leg.

Bushi brings Taguchi into the ring while choking him with his shirt, Sanada tags in and he nails Taguchi with a knee strike to the midsection. Sanada tags Evil into the match and they hit Taguchi with a double team maneuver for a near fall, Evil slows things down further by holding Taguchi in a chin lock. Taguchi tries fighting back and Evil drops him with a double chop, Taguchi recovers to take out Evil and Bushi with a double DDT. Tanahashi tags in and he levels all three members of the opposing team, Tanahashi slams Evil before nailing him with a swanton bomb for a near fall. Tanahashi misses a move and Evil chop blocks him in his hurt leg, Evil then cracks Tanahashi with an exploder suplex. Sanada tags in and Tanahashi nails him with a low drop kick, Tanahashi tags Nakanishi into the match and he nails sanada with forearm strikes.

Nakanishi then hits all the members of Los Ingobernables with some clotheslines, Nakanishi levels Sanada with a lariat to get a near fall. Nakanishi goes for the Hercules Cutter and Sanada finds a way to escape, Evil hits the ring and he double teams Nakanishi with Sanada. An all out brawl breaks out between all six competitors in the match, Sanada then hits Nakanishi with a springboard drop kick. Sanada goes for Skull End and Nakanishi counters with a Hercules Cutter attempt, Sanada escapes and he goes for Skull End again until Tanahashi hits the ring to lay him out with a neck breaker. Nakanishi looks for a tag and Evil knocks Tanahashi off the ring apron, Bushi goes after Nakanishi and Nakanishi looks for the Hercules Cutter again. Bushi escapes and he kicks Nakanishi in the balls, Bushi hits Nakanishi with a Code Breaker for a near fall.

Evil jumps Nakanishi from behind and Tanahashi takes him out, soon another brawl breaks out between everybody in the match.Tanahashi and Taguchi take out Evil and Sanada with suicide dives, Nakanishi then hits Bushi with a Hercules Cutter to get a three count.
