Match By Match Recap

Yuji Nagata makes his way to the ring and he says a few things to the people in attendance, Nagata stands in the ring with a NJPW official and he gives the official a sealed envelope. The official grabs the microphone and he says a few words before Nagata heads backstage, a video package then plays that highlights the career of Nagata.

Bullet Club (Leo Tonga & Yujiro Takahashi) vs. Katsuya Kitamura & Tomoyuki Oka

The match begins with Tonga nailing Kitamura with a forearm strike, Tonga and Kitamura then exchange a few shoulder tackles. Tonga then drops a charging Kitamura with a clothesline before nailing him with more forearm strikes, Tonga traps Kitamura in the corner before stomping away on him. Tonga would then slam Kitamura before nailing him with a leg drop for a near fall, Takahashi tags in and he attacks the back of Kitamura with strikes. Takahashi traps Kitamura in the corner before nailing him with a snap mare followed by a leg drop, Takahashi traps Kitamura in the ropes before nailing him with a running boot to the face.

Kitamura recover and he drops Takahashi with a suplex, Tonga hits the ring and Kitamura lays him out with a spear. Oka tags in and he catches Takahashi with an avalanche in the corner, Oka then slams Takahashi for a near fall. Oka follows that up by catching Takahashi with a dead lift gut wrench suplex, Kitamura and Tonga battle on the arena floor. Takahashi trips up Oka before nailing him with a running drop kick, Takahashi would then corner Oka before nailing him with a boot to the face. Tonga nails Oka with a diving elbow strike in the corner, Takahashi then hits Oka with a fisherman buster suplex followed by Pimp Juice for the three count.

Winners: Bullet Club (Leo Tonga & Yujiro Takahashi)

Suzuki-Gun (Taichi, El Desparado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) vs. Syota Umino, Tetsuhiro Yagi & Ren Narita

The match begins with Suzuki-Gun being jumped by their opponents and a brawl breaks out all over the place, Taichi battles Yagi in the ring and he catches him with a knee strike followed by a kick. Taichi then decides to just stomp away on a downed Yagi, Taichi tosses Yagi to the arena floor and Kanemaru throws him into the barricade. Desparado tags in and he stabs Yagi with a pen he had hidden in his boot, Desparado keeps Yagi down while stomping on his hand. Yagi tries fighting back and Desparado rips at his face before tagging Kanemaru in, Kanemaru quickly works over Yagi in the corner. Kanemaru follows that up by nailing Yasgi with a running boot to the face, Yagi recovers to drop Kanemaru with a drop kick.

Umino tags in and he immediately nails Kanemaru with a series of running back elbow strikes, Umino gets Taichi on the arena floor and he tosses him into the barricade. Umino then slams Kanemaru in the ring before landing a middle rope elbow drop for a near fall, Kanemaru recovers and he nails a charging Umino with a knee lift. Desparado tags in and Umino nails him with a middle rope drop kick, Desparado is eventually triple teamed by the opposing team. Narita tags in and he gets a near fall on a downed Desparado, Narita then catches Desparado with a few roll ups for a few near falls, Desparado catches Narita with a spine buster for a near fall. Desparado locks Naritain the horse collar and a tap out follows.

Winners: Suzuki-Gun (Taichi, El Desparado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru

Jushin “Thunder” Liger, Tiger Mask IV, Titan & Dragon Lee vs. Ryusuke Taguchi, ACH, Kushida & Hirai Kawato

The match begins with Kushida working over Titan with a headlock, Kushida would then drop Titan before catching him with a drop kick. Titan recovers to get Kushida out of the ring with a spinning head scissors, Mask IV and Taguchi get the tags from their respective partners. Mask IV and Taguchi exchange a few arm drags, Taguchi takes over by catching Mask IV with a hip attack. Taguchi misses his next hip attack and Mask IV catches him with a spin kick to the behind, Liger tags in and he locks Taguchi in the surfboard hold. Lee tags in and he nails Taguchi with an atomic drop for a near fall, Titan tags back in and he catches Taguchi with a double knee strike followed by a drop kick.

Liger tags back in and he kicks away at the leg of a downed Taguchi, Taguchi goes for another hip attack and he eventually drops Liger with it. ACH tags in and he immediately nails Liger with a double stomp followed by a drop kick, ACH then hits Liger with a springboard back elbow strike for a near fall. ACH and Liger get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, ACH catches Liger with a roll up for a near fall. ACH goes to the top rope and Liger immediately meets him up there, Liger eventually takes ACH down with a superplex. Kawato and Lee get the tags from their respective partners, Lee and Kawato have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring.

Lee eventually catches Kawato with a series of drop kicks in the corner, Kushida hits the ring and Titan knocks him back out before catching him with a moonsault. Lee nails Kawato with a super tiger bomb for the three count.

Winners: Jushin “Thunder” Liger, Tiger Mask IV, Titan & Dragon Lee

Chaos (Toru Yano, Yoshi-Hashi & Hirooki Goto) vs. Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki, Takashi Iizuka & Taka Michinoku)

The match begins with an all out brawl breaking out between everybody in the match, Suzuki gets Yano out of the ring before tossing him into the barricade. Michinoku fights Yoshi-Hashi in the ring and Iizuka goes at it with Goto on the arena floor, Yoshi-Hashi nails Michinoku with forearm strikes followed by a Western Lariat in the corner. Yoshi-Hashi then places Michinoku on the top rope before landing a drop kick, Iizuka attacks Yoshi-Hashi from behind while Suzuki brawls with Yano in the crowd. Everybody brawls into the crowd as Iizuka nails Goto with some chair shots, Michinoku gets Yoshi-Hashi back into the ring and he chokes him in the corner.

Michinoku follows the choking up by catching Yoshi-Hashi with a running knee strike, Suzuki tags in and he nails Yoshi-Hashi with a series of strikes. Yoshi-Hashi tries fighting back and Suzuki locks him on a knee bar, Yano interferes and Suzuki locks in an ankle lock. Iizuka tags in and he bites the injured leg of Yoshi-Hashi, Iizuka proceeds to stomp away on a downed Yoshi-Hashi. Iizuka misses a charge in the corner and Yoshi-Hashi nails him with a mule kick, Yoshi-Hashi lays out Suzuki-Gun before tagging Goto into the match. Goto immediately starts cleaning house on the opposing team, Goto then catches Iizuka with a spin kick in the corner.

Iizuka bites the foot of Goto and Goto responds by crushing him with a clothesline, Yano and Suzuki get the tags from their partners. Yano removes the turnbuckle pad and Suzuki attacks him from behind, Yano gets triple teamed by all three members of Suzuki-Gun. A bawl breaks out on the arena floor between members of both teams. Yano grabs the referee to avoid a pile driver from Suzuki, Suzuki shoves the referee and he chokes Yano with his bull rope. Suzuki attacks the referee again to cause a disqualification.

Winners: Chaos (Toru Yano, Yoshi-Hashi & Hirooki Goto), by DQ

Hiroshi Tanahashi, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Kota Ibushi, Juice Robinson & David Finlay

The match begins with Tanahashi and Ibushi doing some chain wrestling with nobody getting a clear advantage, Kojima and Robinson get the tags from their respective partners. Kojima catches Robinson in a headlock after a series of reversals, Robinson breaks free and he tries dropping Kojima with shoulder tackles. Robinson eventually drops Kojima with a shoulder tackle followed by a back suplex, Finlay tags in and he nails Kojima with Eiropean uppercuts followed by kicks in the corner. Finlay then drops Kojima with a running back elbow strike for a near fall, Ibushi tags in and he mauls Kojima with strikes in the corner. Robinson tags back in and he attacks Kojima with more kicks in the corner, Robinson then hits Kojima with a cannonball.

Kojima recovers and he eventually drops Robinson with a Koji Cutter, Tenzan tags in and he quickly drops Robinson with a shoulder tackle. Tenzan also starts attacking Robinson with Mongolian chops, Tenzan follow that up by catching Robinson with a running clothesline followed by a suplex. Robinson recovers and he eventually drops Tenzan with a spine buster, Robinson and Tenzan get into a striking exchange until Ibushi tags in. Tenzan quickly drops Ibushi with a Samoan drop before tagging Tanahashi in, Tanahashi and Ibushi have a striking exchange of their own. Tanahashi eventually drops Ibushi with a spinning neck breaker, Ibushi gets up and he drops a charging Tanahashi with a drop kick. Ibushi would then drop Tanahashi with a series of strikes, Tanahashi recovers and he hits Ibushi with a sling blade.

Finlay and Kojima get the tags from their respective partners, Finlay misses a charge in the corner and Kojima nails him with machinegun chops. Kojima then hits Finlay with a running forearm strike before planting Robinson with a DDT, Finlay recovers to hit Kojima with a uranage for a near fall. Kojima crushes Finlay with a Cozy Lariat for the three count.

Winners: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan

Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, Gedo, Yoh & Sho) vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Evil, Bushi, Sanada & Hiromu Takahashi)

The match begins with Yoh dropping Bushi with a shoulder tackle, Yoh then takes out Takahashi with a drop kick. Ishii and Sanada get the tags from their respective partners, Naito attacks Ishii from behind and Ishii quickly fights back before dropping Sanada with a shoulder tackle. Ishii then attacks Sanada with some forearm strikes before eating a drop kick, a brawl then breaks out of the arena floor between everybody in the match. Sanada continues working over Ishii in the rig while the rest fight outside of the ring, Takahashi and Bushi attack Ishii from behind. Evil tags into the match and he wrenches away on the leg of a downed Ishii, Takahashi tags back in and he stomps away on a downed Ishii.

Takahashi backs Ishii into the corner while assaulting him with strikes, all of Los Ingobernables hit the ring and they all attack Ishii. Naito stays in the ring and he attacks Ishii with some more strikes, Ishii recovers and he drops a charging Naito with a power slam. Okada tags in and he immediately goes to work on Naito, Takahashi hits the ring and Okada lays him out with a flapjack. Evil and Bushi hit the ring and Okada takes them out as well, Okada eventually nails Evil with a DDT as well. Sho tags in and he works over Takahashi before he gets the middle rope kicked into his neck, Sho drops Takahashi before Yoh gets in the ring. Sho and Yoh nail Takahashi with an assisted reverse DDT for a near fall, Sho then hits Takahashi with a super kick.

Takahashi recovers and he propels a charging Sho into the turnbuckle, Gedo and Bushi get the tags from their respective partners. Gedo drops Bushi before connecting with a super kick for a near fall, Bushi catches a charging Gedo with a kick to the face followed by a missile drop kick. Everybody from both teams hit the ring and they all take each other out, Gedo gets a near fall on Bushi after a roll up. Bushi recovers and he cracks Gedo with the MX for a near fall, Bushi catches Gedo with a second MX for the three count.

Winners: Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Evil, Bushi, Sanada & Hiromu Takahashi)

Yuji Nagata/Manabu Nakanishi 25th Anniversary Match: Yuji Nagata vs. Manabu Nakanishi

The match begins with Nakanishi briefly getting Nagata to the ground, Nagata starts catching Nakanishi with a few leg kicks. Nakanishi backs Nagata into the corner before landing some chops, Nakanishi and Nagata have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Nagata wins the striking exchange and he throws Nakanishi out of the ring, Nagata goes out of the ring to attack Nakanishi with more strikes. Nagata then throws Nakanishi right into the barricade, Nakanishi recovers to nail a charging Nagata with a spear. Nakanishi gets Nagata back into the ring and he nails him with some chops, Nakanishi and Nagata have another striking exchange in the ring until Nagata goes down.

Nakanishi slams Nagata before nailing him with a splash for a near fall, Nakanishi decides to twist the head of Nagata. Nakanishi backs Nagata into the corner before nailing him with a running clothesline, Nagata recovers to kick a charging Nakanishi in the leg. Nagata waits for Nakanishi to get back up before attacking him with some more kicks, Nagata then hits Nakanishi with a running boot to the face. Nagata follows that up by nailing Nakanishi with a drop kick to the leg before dropping him with another series of kicks, Nakanishi gets to a seated position as Nagata kicks away at him. Nagata goes to the top rope and Nakanishi takes him down with a superplex, Nagata rolls out of the ring and Nakanishi takes him out with a dive.

Nakanishi gets Nagata in the ring and he nails him with a top rope missile drop kick for a near fall, Nagata and Nakanishi get into another striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Nakanishi gets the advantage and he levels Nagata with a clothesline for a near fall, Nakanishi then gets Nagata up in the torture rack. Nagata escapes and he catches Nakanishi with an exploder suplex, Nagata backs Nakanishi into the corner before landing a running knee strike. Nagata would then place Nakanishi on the top rope and he follows him up there, Nagata then catches Nakanishi with a top rope exploder suplex. Nakanishi recovers and hits Nagata with a release German suplex for a near fall, Nakanishi catches Nagata with an inverted TKO for another near fall.

Nagata recovers and he gets Nakanishi to the ground while applying the Nagata Lock, Nagata releases the hold to further injure the arm of Nakanishi. Nakanishi and Nagata get into another striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Nakanishi takes out a charging Nagata with a spear for a near fall. Nakanishi goes for the torture rack again and Nagata escapes to nail him with a series of kicks, Nagata crushes Nakanishi with a brain buster for a near fall. Nagata nails Nakanishi with another exploder suplex for the three count.
