KOPW2021 Provisional Trophy Four-Way
Toru Yano vs. Bad Luck Fale vs. Chase Owens vs. BUSHI

 

BUSHI and Chase Owens are the first two competitors to come out. Bad Luck Fale is the third competitor to make it to the ring. The two Bullet Club members Owens and Fale, are talking about a potential game plan, it appears, and Toru Yano is the fourth competitor. Toru Yano is not getting the ring, even after the bell ring to start the match. Fale and Owens start it off when Fale hits Owens with the Finger Poke of Doom. Yano and BUSHI stop the count, and now all four are fighting. Fale punishes BUSHI by dragging him out of the ring and straight to the ground outside the ring.
 

Fale goes to pin Yano, but BUSHI breaks up the pin. Now, BUSHI is taking control of the match after taking out Fale with a dive. BUSHI then gets back in the ring and does the same to Owens. Yano goes to bodyslam Fale, but he cannot do it, and Fale lands right on top of him. Fale goes for the pin, but BUSHI breaks up the pin attempt. Chase Owens attempts to hit BUSHI with a package piledriver, but BUSHI reversed it. Owens knocks down BUSHI, and he goes for the pin, but Fale breaks it up. Owens is upset and gets in front of Fale and says, "if I win, we win," but the referee gets in front of both Bullet Club members, and they did not like that all, so both Fale and Owens then lift the ref, and Yano hits both Fale and Fale with a low blow. Yano then pins BUSHI to win the KOPW2021 Trophy.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships
El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru (c) vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato

 

The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag-Team Championship match starts with Master Wato attacking El Desperado right away. Wato has the upper hand for a short time, Wato tags in Ryusuke Taguchi, and Taguchi starts with an elbow on El Desperado. Taguchi starts running the ropes multiple times, and he is trying to bait El Desperado, but Yoshinobu Kanemaru trips him up and then drags him to the outside and slams him into the guardrail. El Desperado and Taguchi are the legal men, and both are exchanging strikes. El Desperado tags in Kanemaru, and he goes in and takes out Taguchi's knee. Kanemaru goes for the pin, but Taguchi kicks out.

Taguchi finally gets back to his partner Wato and tags him in. Wato hits Kanemaru with a European uppercut. Wato starts to run the ropes to strike Kanemaru, but Kanemaru pulls the ref in to protect him, and that stops Wato from being able to hit Kanemaru. Kanemaru tags in El Desperado, and Wato tags in Taguchi. Kanemaru hits El Desperado with three suplexes and then goes for the pin, but El Desperado kicks out. El Desperado and Taguchi are exchanging strikes until Taguchi's nails El Desperado with a reverse powerslam. Taguchi has El Desperado has in an ankle lock, and Wato helps Taguchi by striking El Desperado. Taguchi goes to pin El Desperado, but he kicks out. The referee is distracted, and El Desperado nails Taguchi with the whiskey bottle. El Desperado then hits the Pinche Loco on Taguchi and then pins him for the win. El Desperado and Kanemaru retain their IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag-Team Championship.
 

Winner: El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru

 

NEVER Openweight Championship
Jeff Cobb vs. Shingo Takagi

Jeff Cobb and Shingo Takagi start the match with a flurry of strikes. Cobb can get Takagi outside the ring. Cobb then throws Takagi into the guardrails in front of the announcers, but Cobb is not done; he hits an impressive belly to belly suplex outside the ring. Cobb is completely is controlling this match and is just throwing around Takagi. Cobb goes for multiple pins, but Takagi kicks out every time. Takagi finally gets control of the match when he slams Cobb to the mat. Cobb rolls out to the ropes, but Takagi goes for Death Valley Driver, but Cobb escapes. Cobb is outside of the ring, Shingo attempts to take advantage by diving Cobb, and he connects. Cobb is in the ring before Takagi is, and he hits Takagi with a spin cycle. Cobb now hits a gut-wrench suplex, now Cobb is trying to slam Takagi again, but he gets out of it. Cobb then hits a modified Black Tiger Bomb. Cobb goes for the pin, but Takagi kicks out.
 

Cobb soon hits the T-Bone suplex on Takagi. Cobb and Takagi are both backup, and they are exchanging punches and kicks. Takagi runs at Cobb, but Cobb slams him hard, and Takagi rolls to the outside of the ring. Takagi is almost counted out; he gets into the ring with one second to spare. When he gets in, Cobb hits him immediately with the Ganso Bomb. Cobb goes for the pin, but Takagi kicks out. Takagi and Cobb are exchanging heavy strikes; Takagi starts to run the ropes, but Cobb catches him and hits him with the Tour of the Island, but on the way down, Cobb's knee goes out. Cobb is struggling, but he and Takagi are still going strong. Cobb gets Takagi to the top rope and is going for a suplex; Takagi gets out of it and powerbombs Cobb.
 

Takagi to tired to go for the pin. Cobb hits a huge lariat, and now he hits moonsault powerslam, but Takagi is up. Cobb is bleeding now, but he and Takagi are still exchanging strikes. Takagi hits the Last of the Dragon and then pins Jeff Cobb to retain the NEVER Openweight Championship.
 

Winner: Shingo Takagi
 

SANADA vs. EVIL
 

The match begins with SANADA and EVIL measuring each other up, but EVIL gets frustrated and rolls out of the ring. He gets back in and runs straight to SANADA, but he cannot get any strikes in. SANADA just put EVIL in the Paradise Lock. SANADA eventually kicks EVIL, and he is out of it. EVIL and SANADA are outside the ring now, and EVIL slams SANADA right into the guardrail. They end up taking out the ring announcer; with SANADA down, EVIL walks around the ring and sets up a table. The table is set, but EVIL walks away to grab SANADA and get him the ring. EVIL gets some strikes in, and he takes SANADA outside the ring and throws him into the guardrail again. The announcer is yet knocked down again, SANADA gets back in the ring, and while he is in the ring, Dick Togo hits him with a chair because the referee is distracted. EVIL is down now in the ring, and SANADA is up.

SANADA takes EVIL down, and while he is lying on the mat, Dick Togo is standing on the apron, and SANADA knocks him off with a big punch. SANADA then puts his focus back onto EVIL, and EVIL is outside the ring, so SANADA dives over the top rope onto EVIL. SANADA gets back in the ring and now dives and hits Dick Togo. Now, SANADA and EVIL are in the ring, and both are exchanging multiple strikes and chops. SANADA nails EVIL with a tiger suplex, SANADA goes for the pin, but EVIL kicks out. EVIL is back up and grabs SANADA and gets him with the backbreaker; SANADA is dazed. EVIL brings SANDA to the corner and lifts him, and now EVIL hits the superplex from the top rope. EVIL has SANADA in a Scorpion Death Lock, but SANADA gets to the ropes. Sanada hits the TKO but only gets a two count when he goes for the pin. The ref was just knocked down. Dick Togo gets in the ring, and he hits SANADA with a chair into the midsection.

Togo and EVIL are now double-teaming, and they hit SANADA with the Magic Killer. The ref is now back up, and EVIL and SANADA literally are exchanging strikes again, and when one gets the upper hand a short time later, the other will take control. EVIL goes against the ropes and grabs the referee, which allows Dick Togo to start choking SANADA. EVIL lets go of the ref and charges at SANADA, but SANADA gets out of the choke, and EVIL nearly runs into Dick Togo, but SANADA comes in from behind and strikes EVIL, and EVIL hits the ropes, and that knocks Dick Togo off the apron and goes through the table. EVIL tries to get a low blow in on SANADA, but he blocks it; now SANADA hits EVIL with TKO, and SANADA follows it up by doing a moonsault from the top rope, and he goes to pin EVIL and gets the victory.
 

Winner: SANADA
 

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
Taiji Ishimori (c) vs. Hiromu Takahashi

 

Taiji Ishimori and Hiromu Takahashi begin the match by locking up in the center of the ring. Takahashi is controlling the match against Ishimori, and both competitors are out of the ring now. Takahashi slams Ishimori on the ramp. Takahashi walks up the entranceway and then comes running back and looks as if he will attempt a dropkick of sorts, but Ishimori stops it and slams Takahashi onto the ramp. Now, both Ishimori and Takahashi are in the ring. Ishimori is controlling the match, and he is punishing Takahashi. Takahashi recovers, and both guys are outside of the ring, and Takahashi hits the shotgun dropkick onto Ishimori.
 

Both competitors are in the ring, and Hiromu Takahashi hits the Falcon Arrow on Ishimori, but Ishimori kicks out. Takahashi now goes for the Death Valley Driver, but Ishimori avoids it and now hits Takahashi with a sliding German suplex. Ishimori now does a 450 Splash and follows it up by putting Takahashi in a Labelle Lock. Ishimori counters a pop-up powerbomb into a Frankensteiner. Takahashi is up, and he nails Ishimori with a Wheelbarrow Flatliner. Takahashi hits the Death Valley Driver on Ishimori. Then he goes for the Time Bomb, but Ishimori gets out of it, and soon Ishimori hits Takahashi with the Canadian Destroyer. Takahashi and Ishimori are up, and Takahashi absolutely hammers Ishimori with a big forearm. Now, Ishimori is landing multiple forearms on Hiromu. Ishimori lands a powerful shoulderbreaker on Takahashi. Ishimori goes for the La Mystica and turns it into a Lebelle Lock, Takahashi grabs for the ropes, but Ishimori rolls him into the middle of the ring.
 

Ishimori hits Takahashi with the Lungblower but only gets a two count on Hiromu. Hiromu Takahashi now counters another La Mystica into an elevated flatliner but only gets a two count. Takahashi absolutely nails Ishimori with a devastating lariat, and now Ishimori is hit with a Death Valley Driver, which sends him into the exposed corner. Ishimori now counters Takahashi's Time Bomb 2.0 into the Bone Lock. Takahashi, a short time later, gets out of the Bloody Cross and hits the suplex flatliner. Takahashi hits the Time Bomb 2 and goes for the pin. The ref counts 1, 2, 3, and we now have a new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Hiromu Takahashi.

IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships
Kota Ibushi (c) vs. Jay White


 

The bell sounds, and both Kota Ibushi and Jay White are in opposite corners, and they look at each other, and White rolls outside of the ring to walk around for a minute. White gets in the ring and then gets right back out and smiles as he attempts to play games with Ibushi. The action begins with a collar-and-elbow tie-up. White takes a cheap shot at Ibushi and now controls the match as he holds Ibushi in a headlock. White hits Ibushi with a DDT, and Ibushi rolls out of the ring and goes straight down to the ground.
 

Jay White nearly destroyed Kota Ibushi with a back suplex on the ring's edge, right outside the ropes. White is not letting Ibushi get anything in and is just toying around with Ibushi. White hits another DDT on Ibushi but in the middle of the ring this time. White now has Ibushi in the corner and is just punishing Ibushi with shoulders to Ibushi's midsection. Jay White is yelling at Red Shoes, the referee of the match. White stops focusing on Ibushi, and it ends up costing him because when he turns back to Ibushi, Ibushi kicks him with a roundhouse kick to the chest of Jay White.
 

Jay White has Ibushi in the corner, and he lands a running European uppercut, and then he grabs Ibushi and hits the Bladebuster. White has been controlling 90% of the match; it would be safe to say. Ibushi gets some strikes in and is controlling the match now. Kota Ibushi just hit the Bastard Driver on Jay White. White is backup and avoids the Boyame and goes for the Saito Suplex and goes for the pin, but Ibushi kicks out at two. Now, he goes for the Kiwi Crusher but another kick out at two. White is calling for the Blade Runner, but Ibushi with the rollup and goes into a back suplex. Ibushi goes for the Golden Star Bomb, but White with the rollup, Red Shoes sees it and stops. Ibushi then lands a head kick by Ibushi. Ibushi now is calling for the Kamigoye, Jay keeps his head down, but Ibushi comes back with a Buzzsaw Kick.
 

Ibushi then goes for the Phoenix Splash, but Gedo gets on the apron and, by doing that, allows Jay White enough time to recover. Ibushi gets out of the Sleeper Suplex, and now Gedo is distracting; Ibushi can power out of the Blade Runner. Jay then goes after Ibushi's knee and now has him in a kneebar. Ibushi makes it to the ropes, and it breaks the hold; Jay is now kicking Ibushi in the face. Kota Ibushi is getting mad and is laying into Jay White now. White is begging for mercy. Ibushi has to push Red Shoes out of the way, and White hits Ibushi with a low blow. Jay is now just beating down Ibushi on the ramp outside of the ring. White just hit a nasty looking German suplex, and Ibushi lands on top of his head. Ibushi and White are fighting on the apron, and Ibushi hits White with a high roundhouse to Jay's head.
 

Ibushi now nails White with a Deadlift German suplex from the middle rope. Ibushi hits White with the Golden Star Powerbomb; Ibushi goes for the pin, but White kicks out at two. Ibushi goes for Kamigoye but is countered into a White sleeper suplex, and White follows it up with another one. White hits the Regal Plex; he goes for the pin but a kick out at two. Ibushi now counters the Blade Runner into a Kamigoye; Ibushi goes for the pin but a two count.  Phoenix Splash now onto White, then Ibushi goes for the cover, but Gedo grabs the ref and stops the count. Ibushi hits Gedo with the Kamigoye! Jay White hits the Blade Runner and goes for the pin but a kick out; White gets up and goes for it again but can't. White has Ibushi in a kneebar; however, Ibushi grabs the ropes, and the kneebar is released. White counters the V-Trigger into a Regal Plex, White has Ibushi for the pin, but Ibushi kicks out at two.
 

White goes for the Blade Runner, but Ibushi counters it into a V-Trigger. The Kamigoye countered into a Blade Runner attempt but Ibushi comes back with a lariat. Then Ibushi with the Kamigoye to the back of Jay White's neck. Ibushi goes for the pin and gets the victory over Jay White. Kota Ibushi retains his titles.

Winner: Kota Ibushi
 

- After the match, Jay White is lying in the ring and is not accepting defeat. SANADA comes out and wants to challenge Ibushi. Ibushi accepts the challenge.
