Match By Match Recap

Juice Robinson vs. David Finlay

The match begins with Finlay catching Robinson in the headlock, Finlay takes Robinson down while maintaining the headlock. Robinson breaks free and Finlay nails him with a knee to the midsection, Robinson recovers and drops a charging Finlay with a shoulder tackle. Robinson then charges at Finlay and he eats a drop kick for his efforts, Robinson regains control by dropping a charging Finlay with a pair of boots to the face. Robinson and Finlay take turns smashing each other into the turnbuckles, Robinson gets a near fall after whipping Finlay into the corner. Robinson then connects with a back elbow and senton on a dazed Finlay, Robinson slows things down by holding Finlay in the chin lock. Finlay starts fighting back and gets into a striking exchange with Robinson, Finlay eventually drops Robinson with a flying forearm strike.

Finlay corners Robinson before attacking him with a series of running European uppercuts for the near fall, Robinson gets back up and he drops Finlay with a series of kicks for the near fall. Finlay retreats to the corner and Robinson catches him with a few running clotheslines, Robinson prepares for his next move and Finlay catches him with a spear and German suplex for the two count. Robinson recovers and catches Finlay with a series of jabs and a gut buster for the near fall, Robinson then hits Finlay with the Unprettier for the three count.

Winner: Juice Robinson

Ryusuke Taguchi & Jushin “Thunder” Liger vs. RPG Vice (Rocky Romero & Trent Berretta)

The bout kicks off with Liger quickly overpowering and then taunting Romero, Romero responds and does the same thing to Liger. Romero rakes the eyes of Liger after shaking his hand, Romero falls out of the ring after he misses a charge at Liger. Berretta and Taguchi get the tags from their respective partners, Taguchi misses his initial hip attacks against Berretta. Berretta attacks Taguchi with a few strikes before getting nailed with some hip attacks, Liger tags back in and he locks Berretta in the surfboard hold. Romero interferes and breaks things up by illegally attacking Liger, Berretta mounts and attacks Liger with a series of strikes. Romero tags in and he assaults Liger with strikes in the corner, Romero then drops the knee on Liger’s ankle a few times.

Berretta tags back in and he starts focusing on the arm of Liger, Liger tries fighting back and Berretta gets in back into the corner after landing a forearm strike. Liger then causes Berretta to spit the water from his drink into the face of Romero, Romero tags back in and he catches a cornered Liger with a series of running clotheslines. RPG Vice try double teaming Liger and Liger drops both of them before tagging in Taguchi, Taguchi attacks both foes with some hip attacks. Taguchi nails Berretta with more hip attacks as Romero retreats to the arena floor, Berretta slows down Taguchi with an atomic drop before tagging in Romero. Liger gets the tag as well and he nails Romero with a running palm strike and top rope hurricarana for the near fall, Liger then hits Romero with a Liger Bomb for another near fall. RPG Vice then connect with a double knee strike to a charging Liger, RPG Vice hit Liger with the double stomp Dude Buster for the three count.

Winners: RPG Vice (Rocky Romero & Trent Berretta)

Non-Title Match: Guerillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tonga Roa) (IWGP Tag Team Champions) vs. Chaos (Gedo & Tomohiro Ishii)

The match kicks off with Tama nailing Ishii with a few strikes to the midsection, Tama then holds Ishii in the headlock. Tama then tries taking Ishii down with a series of shoulder tackles, Ishii charges at Tama and he eats a forearm strike. Ishii gets mad and drops Tama with a few strikes before tagging Gedo in, Roa tags in and he gets dropped by both members of Chaos. Gedo pokes both members of the opposition in their eyes, Roa recovers and he drops Gedo before stomping on him. Roa picks up Gedo and he rams him right into the turnbuckle, Roa traps Gedo in the ropes before assaulting him with more strikes. Tama tags back in and he attacks Gedo with a series of headbutts to get a near fall, Tama brings Gedo in the corner to attack with more strikes before tagging Roa back in.

Roa knocks Ishii off the ring apron before Gedo is dropped with a double shoulder tackle and series of headbutts from the Guerillas Of Destiny, Roa slams Gedo before heading to the top rope. Roa misses the diving headbutt and Gedo is able to tag Ishii into the match, Ishii starts laying out both of the opposition as Gedo recovers. Ishii traps Roa in the corner while attacking him with a series of strikes, Roa recovers and he nails Ishii with a spine buster. Roa waits for Ishii to stand up before dropping him with a lariat, Ishii recovers and he crushes Roa with a brain buster. Roa recovers quickly and he drops a charging Ishii with a power slam, Tama tags back in and he nails a charging Ishii with a drop kick. Ishii gets up as Tama nails him with a plethora of forearm strikes, Ishii drops Tama with some strikes of his own before tagging Gedo into the match.

Gedo drops both members of the opposing team with a series of punches, Gedo then locks Tama in the cross face submission until Roa breaks it up. Gedo is trapped in the corner before Tama and Roa nail him with a fireman’s carry neck breaker for a near fall, Ishii returns to the ring and he attacks the Guerillas with forearm strikes and clotheslines. Gedo gets a near fall on Tama before Tama catches him with the Stun Gun, Tama and Roa hit Gedo with an elevated DDT to get the three count.

Winners: Guerillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tonga Roa)

Tomoaki Homna vs. Hirooki Goto

The bout begins with Goto working over the arm of Homna, Goto then holds Homna in the headlock before the two try taking each other down with shoulder tackles. Homna eventually drops Goto with a shoulder tackle before missing his patented headbutt, Goto then drops Homna Homna with a clothesline. Homna retreats to the arena floor and Goto catches him with a suicide dive, Goto then takes the opportunity to throw Homna into the ring post. Goto brings Homna back into the ring while attacking him with some stomps, Goto follows them up by kicking Homna right in the back.

Goto slows things down after that by wrenching on the head of Homna, Goto transitions to the head scissors of Homna after that. Homna gets to the ropes to break the head scissors and he gets into a chopping battle with Goto, Homna then drops Goto with a forearm strike before missing another headbutt. Goto places Homna in the corner before attacking him with strikes, Goto goes back to attacking Homna with some chops. Goto then hits a cornered Homna with a spinning heel kick for the near fall, the two wrestler attempt to suplex each other before Homna nails Goto with a series of headbutts. Homna picks up Goto and he attacks him with a series of chops,

Homna drops Goto with a clothesline before going to the top rope. Homna then hits Goto with a block buster for the near fall, Homna goes back up to the top rope and he misses the diving headbutt. The wrestlers get to their knees as they exchange some strikes, they then get up to their feet and exchange even more strikes. Homna then hits Goto with a diving headbutt before locking him in a modified arm bar, Goto gets to the ropes to break the submission hold. Homna sets up for the pile driver and Goto escapes to eat a clothesline, Goto then hits Homna with a modified back breaker for the near fall. Goto catches Homna with his finisher after that to get the three count.

Winner: Hirooki Goto

Kushida, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Togi Makabe vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Bushi & Sanada)

The match begins with Tanahashi and Naito locking up with little happening afterwards, Bushi and Kushida get the tags from their partners. Bushi starts off by working over the arm of Kushida until Kushida escapes and shows some amateur wrestling prowess, Kushida drops Bushi with a hip toss before catching him with a drop kick. Kushida catches Bushi with a few near falls, Kushida goes for a handspring maneuver and Kushida levels him with a drop kick that knocks him to the arena floor. Bushi then hits a dazed Kushida with a suicide dive, an all-out brawl then breaks out between everybody in the match. Bushi brings Kushida back into the ring before choking him with his shirt, Naito tags in and he nails Kushida with a rope assisted drop kick. Sanada tags in and he kicks Kushida in the balls as Kushida tried fighting back against him, Sanada then holds Kushida in the chin lock.

Kushida again tries fighting back and he finally drops Sanada with a slam, Kushida then hits Sanada with a series of kicks. Kushida finally gets the tag to Makabe and Makabe cleans house on the opposition, Makabe mounts Sanada in the corner and he nails him with a plethora of punches. Makabe then drops a charging Sanada with a clothesline for the near fall, Sanada recovers and drops a charging Makabe with a drop kick. Naito tags in and Makabe catches him with a few boots to the face and a clothesline, Tanahashi tags in and he attacks Naito with a plethora of strikes. Tanahashi drops Naito with a series of holds before catching him with an elbow drop, Sanada interferes and holds Tanahashi in the dragon sleeper for a short time. Naito and Bushi attack Tanahashi with a series of double team maneuvers for a near fall, Naito then hits Tanahashi with the enzaguri and a spinning heel kick.

Tanahashi drops a charging Naito before both Bushi gets tagged in by Naito, Bushi catches Tanahashi with a kick to the face. Bushi and Sanada then attack Tanahashi with a rope assisted drop kick to the midsection for the near fall, Bushi then hits Tanahashi with double knees to the face for another near fall. Bushi misses a top rope dive and Kushida levels him with a drop kick, Makabe then takes out and interfering Naito as another all-out brawl breaks out. Kushida takes out Naito and Sanada with a suicide dive, Tanahashi catches Bushi with a frog splash to get the three count.

Winners: Kushida, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Togi Makabe

Chaos (Kazuchika Okada & Yoshi-Hashi) vs. Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi & Kenny Omega)

The match begins with Omega jumping Yoshi-Hashi from behind as he was consulting with Okada, Omega and Takahashi attack Yoshi-Hashi with double team maneuvers. Yoshi-Hashi knocks Omega out of the ring before tagging Okada in, Okada teams with Yoshi-Hashi to hit Takahashi with some double team maneuvers of their own. Okada lays out Omega and Takahashi before nailing them both with a rope assisted swanton bomb, Yoshi-Hashi tags back in and he knocks both of his opponents to the arena floor. Omega regains control for his team by slamming Yoshi-Hashi on the ring apron, Omega then takes the opportunity to throw Yoshi-Hashi into the barricade. Takahashi brawls with Okada in the crowd as Omega works over Yoshi-Hashi on the arena floor, Omega throws Yoshi-Hashi into the ring and Takahashi goes to work on him.

Takahashi takes Yoshi-Hashi to the middle rope before he starts choking him, Takahashi then hits Yoshi-Hashi with a neck breaker for a near fall. Omega tags in and he drops Yoshi-Hashi with a series of chops, Omega then goes for a variety of pinning combinations on Yoshi-Hashi. Omega and Takahashi drop Yoshi-Hashi with a double back elbow strike, Takahashi nails Yoshi-Hashi with a running leg drop for the near fall. Omega tags back in and he nails Yoshi-Hashi with a springboard axe handle drop, Yoshi-Hashi tries fighting back and he finally drops Omega with a spinning kick to the midsection. Takahashi pulls Okada off the ring apron so Yoshi-Hashi cannot tag him into the match, Omega nearly gets the three count on a distracted Yoshi-Hashi. Yoshi-Hashi drops Omega with a neck breaker and then he tags Okada into the match, Okada instantly starts cleaning house on both of his opponents. Omega fights back against Okada and Okada nails him with a flapjack for his efforts, Okada locks Omega in the STF hold until Takahashi interferes.

Okada misses his top rope maneuver and that allows Omega to hit him with a Finlay Roll into a moonsault for a near fall, Okada escapes the One Winged Angel and Omega escapes the Rain Maker. Omega then drops Okada with a running knee strike to the head, Takahashi tags in and he knocks Yoshi-Hashi off the ring apron. Takahashi then hits Okada with a running kick to the head for a near fall, Takahashi then hits Okada with The Stroke for another near fall. Okada recovers and kicks Takahashi right in the head, Omega interferes again and he double teams Okada with Takahashi. Takahashi gets a near fall on Okada after nailing him with a fisherman buster suplex, Yoshi-Hashi returns to the ring and he nails Takahashi with a rolling neck breaker. Okada then hits Takahashi with a drop kick and the Rain Maker to get the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Kazuchika Okada & Yoshi-Hashi)

IWGP NEVER Openweight Title Match: Evil (Champion) vs. Katsuyori Shibata

The main event begins with Shibata getting the go behind on Evil and he trips him up before missing a kick, Evil kicks Shibata in the midsection before landing a few elbow strikes. Shibata gets angry and he starts working on the arm of Evil, Shibata bends the arm of Evil and stomps on it before kicking him in the back. Shibata then locks Evil in a modified arm bar that gets broken after Evil gets to the ropes, Evil rolls to the ring apron and Shibata locks him in a sleeper hold for a few seconds before kicking him in the back again. Evil rolls to the arena floor and he grabs a steel chair, Shibata follows him out of the ring and he attacks Evil with a variety of kicks. Shibata swings the chair at Evil and he accidentally nails the ring post instead, Evil then wraps a chair around the head of Shibata before throwing him into the ring post a few times.

Evil then wraps the chair around the arm of Shibata before tossing him into the ring post again, Shibata gets back into the ring and Evil stomps his hurt shoulder a few times. Evil corners Shibata before nailing him with a running elbow strike, Evil continues to focus his attack on the hurt arm of Shibata before landing a senton for a near fall. Evil then decides to just rip away at the face of Shibata, Evil hits Shibata with a side slam to get another two count. Shibata eventually gets to a seated position while asking a confused Evil to kick away at him, Shibata eventually stands up and he attacks Evil with a plethora of kicks. Shibata then tosses Evil into the corner while nailing him with running boots to the face and drop kicks, Shibata then hits Evil with a head and arm suplex for a near fall.

Shibata slows things down a little bit by locking Evil in the abdominal stretch, Shibata changes things up on Evil by transitioning into the octopus stretch. Evil recovers by raking the eyes of Shibata and nailing him with a forearm strike, Evil then hits Shibata with a fisherman buster suplex for a near fall. Evil sets up for something and Shibata escapes to the ring apron to apply a sleeper hold, Evil quickly breaks it before knocking Shibata to the arena floor with a clothesline. Shibata gets back in the ring and Evil drops him with a three strike combo for the near fall, Shibata gets mad and he kicks Evil in the head a few times. Evil eventually drops Shibata with a clothesline for a near fall, Shibata quickly gets up and attacks Evil again until he is again dropped by a clothesline.

The wrestlers get to their knees and they start exchanging a plethora of strikes, the wrestlers get back up to their feet and continue the striking exchange. Shibata drops Evil during the exchange and he again locks him in a sleeper hold, Evil breaks the sleeper by knocking Shibata into the referee. Evil then drops Shibata with a clothesline before bringing a pair of chairs into the ring, Evil wraps a chair around the head of Shibata before smashing him with the second chair. Evil then hits Shibata with a tiger driver to get a two count, Shibata counters the STF of Evil into a falling sleeper hold. Evil gets up and he catches Shibata with a headbutt, Shibata then drops a charging Evil with a palm strike before locking him in the sleeper hold. Shibata drops Evil on his head with a sleeper hold suplex and he reapplies the sleeper hold, Shibata releases the hold and he nails the penalty kick to get the three count.

Winner: Katsuyori Shibata, your new IWGP NEVER Openweight Champion

After the match, Shibata celebrates a little bit before tossing Evil out of the ring.
