Ring of Honor Episode 271 Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole, The Addiction VS The Briscoes & More!

This is the Fightful.com recap for this week's episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling as we are just days away from Final Battle this Friday night where Adam Cole defends his ROH World Title against Kyle O'Reilly, but first they will square off and we get another edition of Story Time with Adam Cole! In our main event The Briscoes are looking to stay strong as they get ready to face The Young Bucks for the ROH Tag Team titles by taking on the former champions; The Addiction! 

Lio Rush vs Jonathan Gresham

They adhere to the code of honor then lock up for a clean break, shaking hands again then they do a series of arm drags then end up locking arms, breaking then Lio hits an enzuigiri that drops Gresham for a quick 1 count. Lio hits a series of kicks then they exchange chops then Gresham hits a step up enzuigiri that sends Lio to the outside. Gresham flips over the top rope then runs across the apron and jumps on the top turnbuckle and hits a moonsault. Gresham focuses on Lio's arm on the outside as we go to commercial.

Gresham is in control as we come back, but they're quick to exchange forearms in the center of the ring until Lio drops Gresham with a right hand. Gresham focuses on the arm of Lio again then Lio hits a step up enzuigiri, following up with a superkick then a springboard phoenix splash. They get back in the ring then Lio hits another enzuigiri to Gresham on the top rope, Lio hitting an huricanrrana, but Gresham rolls him up for a quick 2 count. Lio hits Rush Hour out of no where for a close 2 count then Gresham hits a brainbuster for a close 2 count of his own. Lio hits a brainbuster of his own for a quick 1 count then Lio hits two more Rush Hour's, following up with a huge elbow off the top rope for the pin and the win.

Winner: Lio Rush via pinfall

-After the match The Motor City Machine Guns put Lio and Gresham over, talking about how they put everything they have into matches. We then get a promo where Kyle O'Reilly talks about his career to a very well put together video package before his title match Friday night. Next we get a segment where they go through the entire card for Final Battle as The Addiction come out for their match.

The Addiction vs The Briscoes

They decide not to adhere to the code of honor and Kaz and Jay start it off, Jay showing off his strength and shoving Kaz away. They lock up again and Kaz hits a headlock takeover, but Jay gets to his feet then hits one of his own. They roll each other up for quick 2 counts then Jay hits a head scissors as Mark comes in and Daniels comes in as well. They lock up then Mark puts a headlock on Daniels, but he quickly powers out, Mark dropping him repeatedly with shoulder blocks then they exchange arm drags. Mark gets up then they go toe to toe, Kaz attacking him from behind then Jay comes in and all four men are in until The Addiction send The Briscoes to the outside, but The Briscoes come right back and dive out after them as we go to commercial.

Mark and Jay are in control as we come back, double teaming Kaz for a quick 2 count then stomp on him in their corner as Mark comes in. Mark drops Kaz with a back elbow then tags Jay back in, Jay running into him in the corner then Mark chops Kaz repeatedly in the corner. Daniels distracts him then sends him back into the ring for a quick 2 count then The Addiction do a double team move on Mark for a quick 2 count and Daniels mocks Jay as Kaz chokes Mark in the corner. Daniels hits a scoop slam then an elbow drop for a quick 2 count, following it up with a modified bear hug that Mark powers out of, but Daniels drops him again and tags in Kaz as they hit a series of moonsaults and leg drops on Mark for a very close 2 count as we go to commercial.

The Addiction isolate Mark and keep him in their corner as we come back, tagging each other in frequently then Mark powers out of another bear hug, but Kaz drops Jay off the apron. Mark hits an enzuigiri then tags in Jay who's back up and Jay drops Daniels then splashes him in the corner, following up with a big boot for a quick 2 count. Jay hits a neckbreaker to Kaz then drops Daniels with a forearm, Kaz breaking up a quick 2 count. Daniels dives out after Mark then Kaz hits a cutter for a close 2 count when Jay dives back into the ring from the apron. Daniels tags Kaz back in then Jay gets out of the way, causing Kaz to hit Daniels then Mark hits a clothesline off the top rope, following up with chops then a clothesline. Mark hits a uranage for a close 2 count then The Addiction hit a double team backbreaker powerbomb combo for a very close 2 count. Jay sends Daniels into the barricade then The Briscoes go for a Dooms Day Device, but Kaz turns it into a Flux Capacitor in mid air for a very close 2 count. Jay hits a Jay Driller on Daniels then Mark hits a Froggy Bow for the pin and the win.

Winner: The Briscoes via pinfall

-They end up shaking hands after the match then Adam Cole talks about his title match against Kyle O'Reilly as we go off the air.
