STARDOM continued its 5STAR Grand Prix on Friday, this time live from Korakuen Hall for Day 18. On paper, this show looked to be the best card to date with Giulia vs. Momo Watanabe finally happening a year after it was originally set to happen on the final day of the tournament, Syuri and Tam Nakano wrestling once again just a few months removed from their World of Stardom Championship match, and a match one year in building as Mayu Iwatani and Hazuki went one-on-one.
In the middle of all the action, KAIRI officially announced herself as the final entry in the international bracket to crown the first IWGP Women's Champion. She will face the winner of Alpha Female vs. Ava White, which will happen at NJPW's Royal Quest at the start of October. KAIRI's tournament match will take place on October 23. The finals of the tournament to crown the first IWGP Women's Champion will be at NJPW x STARDOM's Historic X-Over event on November 20.
This show gave a good glimpse into what we should be expecting as the final is one week away.
