WWE's main roster stayed busy during the final week of 2016, holding a series of live events in majnor markets.
The big news was the return of John Cena to the squared circle. Cena appeared on all the Smackdown events held this past week, as he gears up to challenge AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble. Smackdown's events also saw James Ellsworth in the ring, facing Curt Hawkins in a series of quick comedy matches.
On the Raw loop, Rich Swann defended the Cruiserweight Title at house shows for the first time, taking on Neville while Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens continued to square off in the main events at house shows.
