Good evening Fight Fans, Smackdown! Live is over, and so it's time for the 2018 edition of the Mixed Match Challenge tournament to begin!
Mixed Match Challenge First Round Match
Braun Strowman & Ember Moon vs Kevin Owens & Natalya
Kevin and Braun start the match before Natalya and Ember come in almost immediately. Natalya rolls Ember up for a quick one count before Ember rolls her up for a quick two count. Ember hits a huricanrrana for a quick two count before hitting a running back elbow in the corner, but Natalya hits a powerbomb before locking in a sharpshooter. Braun drags Ember out of the ring to break up the hold before Kevin comes in and Braun hits him with several running splashes in the corner. Kevin sends Braun over the announce table when Braun chases him around ringside and Braun chokeslams him for a near fall.
Natalya then comes in again and Moon rocks her with an enzuigiri before Braun drops Kevin and Moon hits an Eclipse for the pin and the win.
Winner:Braun Strowman & Ember Moon defeat Kevin Owens & Natalya via pinfall when Ember hits Natalya with the Eclipse.
AJ Styles & Charlotte vs Naomi & Jimmy Uso
AJ and Jimmy start the match with AJ getting the upper hand until Naomi and Charlotte tag in and Naomi dropkicks Charlotte. Charlotte hits a basement dropkick before Naomi gets a series of quick two counts and hits a dropkick that sends Charlotte out of the ring. AJ catches Naomi when she goes for a diving cross body before Charlotte hits a diving cross body onto everyone else at ringside. Naomi rocks Charlotte with a roundhouse kick before hitting a sliding lariat for a quick two count and misses a split legged moonsault. Charlotte hits a moonsault for a near fall before AJ and Jimmy tag in, AJ hitting several jumping forearms into an ushigaroshi for a near fall.
Jimmy hits a Samoan drop before they exchange kicks and Naomi hits a huricanrrana. Charlotte locks in a figure four on Jimmy that Naomi breaks up before Naomi sends AJ out of the ring with a Rear View. Charlotte then locks in the Figure Eight for the tap and the win.
Winner: Charlotte & AJ Styles defeat Naomi & Jimmy Uso via submission when Charlotte submits Naomi with the Figure Eight.
