This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT! Tonight we have the WWE NXT Tag Team titles on the line as the first ever two time NXT tag champs, The Revival look to become three time champions when they challenge #DIY! After defeating Mickie James at Takeover: Toronto, Asuka returns to declare for The Empress of Tomorrow is looking to conquer next! Be sure to come back here at 8PM EST for all of tonight's action!
-We open the show with footage of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce attacking and humiliating Asuka backstage before they come out to the ring.
Billie Kay & Peyton Royce vs Macy Evans & Sarah Bridges
Peyton and Billie double team Evans repeatedly, frequently tagging in and out and isolating her in their corner. Bridges gets tagged in when Peyton misses a roundhouse kick then whips Kay into the middle rope for a quick 2 count. Kay rakes Bridges eyes then tags in Peyton who hits smashes Bridges' face into the knee of Kay for the pin and the win.
Winner: Peyton Royce & Billie Kay via pinfall
-After the match Asuka comes out, but then Nikki Cross does and takes out Asuka as Billie and Peyton quickly leave the ring. We then are told about an interview with Shinsuke Nakamura later tonight as we go to commercial.
Elias Samson vs Jonathan Cruz
Samson overpowers Cruz early then Cruz gets a series of close 2 count off of a roll up that infuriates Samson. Samson drops Cruz from behind with a lariat then throws him into the corner before stretching him with the ring post. Cruz tries to fight back, but Samson drops him with a boot then hits a spinning neckbreaker for the pin and the win.
Winner: Elias Samson via pinfall
-We then get a video package for the main event tonight.
Andrade Almas vs Oney Lorcan
Almas mocks Lorcan early then slaps him before mocking him more. Almas hangs in the ropes then Lorcan dropkicks him to the floor, following up with a blockbuster then a chop in the throat. Lorcan gets a quick 2 count once they're back in the ring then hits a backbreaker, neckbreaker combo before slapping Lorcan in the corner and stomping on him repeatedly. Almas follows up with a dropkick for a very close 2 count then immediately transitions into a Fujiwara armbar. Lorcan rolls through it then drops Almas repeatedly before hitting him with a running uppercut then a splash in the corner. Lorcan misses a running blockbuster then Almas hits him with a series of strikes before Lorcan hits an Alabama slam into the turnbuckle. Lorcan then hits a hammer-lock DDT for the pin and the win.
Winner: Andrade Almas via pinfall
-We then get an interview segment where Shinsuke talks about Bobby Roode as his next challenger. Shinsuke says he likes him, but he's not strong, not the king like Shinsuke and that he will not be NXT champion. We find out that the contract signing will be next week.
The Revival vs #DIY NXT Tag Team Championship Match
Gargano and Dawson start it off Dawson in control early until Ciampa is tagged in, dropping both members of The Revival. #DIY then clear the ring as we go to commercial.
Wilder gets the blind tag as we come back, but Gargano sends him out of the ring then Gargano drops Dawson. Wilder comes back in and chop blocks Gargano before he and Dawson focus on the knee of Gargano. Wilder slams the knee of Gargano into the post then Dawson drops him to the floor. Dawson gets tagged back in, continuing to focus on the knee of Gargano before The Revival beat on Gargano in their corner. Gargano gets an inside cradle for a close 2 count, Wilder distracting the referee long enough to allow Wilder to kick out. Gargano is sent outside then Dawson tags in Wilder then Gargano sends Wilder face first into the ring post. Gargano tries to get to Ciampa, but Dawson drops him then The Revival hit a leg drop backbreaker combo for a close 2 count as we go to commercial.
Wilder focuses on the leg of Gargano then Dawson is tagged back in, but Ciampa is tagged in. Ciampa drops Dawson then hits him with a running knee then a series of German suplexes. Ciampa then hits a running knee for a very close 2 count. The Revival hit a series of double team moves for a very close 2 count of their own. Gargano then superkicks Dawson out of the ring before Ciampa puts an armbar on Wilder. Dawson sends Gargano into Ciampa, breaking up the submission then Wilder tags in Dawson.
Gargano gets the blind tag then Wilder is sent out of the ring. Dawson rolls Gargano up for a very close 2 count as Ciampa sends Wilder back out of the ring as soon as he tries to get back in. The Revival are sent out of the ring then Gargano dives out of the ring and takes out Wilder then Ciampa takes out Dawson, running right into the bell stand. Dawson and Gargano are back in the ring then Ciampa is tagged back in. Dawson hits a DDT after Wilder pulls him throat first into the top rope for a very close 2 count then #DIY hit their finisher for the pin and the win, #DIY pinning both members of The Revival at the same time.
Winner: #DIY via pinfall
