This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT. Tonight Aleister Black begins his reign as NXT champion after defeating Andrade Almas at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans this past Saturday. Kairi Sane faces Lacey Evans, Heavy Machinery takes on Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss and much more so be sure to come back here at 8PM EST for all of the action!
Kairi Sane vs Lacey Evans
They lock up to start the match before Kairi hits a huricanrrana into a dropkick for a quick two count. Lacey cat he's Kairi coming in and hits a slingshot elbow drop for a quick two count, then drops her with a roundhouse kick before Kairi rolls her up for a near fall. Lacey chops Kairi in the corner and chokes her in the ropes before playing to the crowd as we go to commercial.
Lacey is in control as we come back from commercial, hitting a bronco buster for a quick two count before Kairi comes back with a series of chops only for Lacey to hit a shoulder breaker for a near fall. Kairi spears Lacey before hitting a neckbreaker and a sliding forearm and a a Kabuki elbow for a near fall. Kairi then hits the Insane Elbow for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kairi Sane defeats Lacey Evans via pinfall with the Insane Elbow.
-We get a recap of the NXT Tag Team Championship Match where Undisputed Era retained their titles and Roderick Strong turned on Pete Dunne and joined Undisputed Era. We then have a recap of the NXT call ups from RAW on Monday including Authors of Pain. We then get a video package for the unsanctioned match between Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano which Gargano won and was reinstated as a member of the NXT roster.
-We get video packages for the NXT Women's Championship match where Shayna Baszler defeated Ember Moon and where Aleister Black defeated Andrade Almas to become the new NXT champion.
Heavy Machinery vs Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss
Tucker and Tino start the match before all four men get in the ring and brawl, then HM double team Tino before Moss sends Tucker out of the ring as we go to commercial.
Moss is in control as we come back from commercial, hitting a fall away slam after catching Tucker, then he and Tino start tagging in and out and doubling up on Tucker until he finally tags Otis in. Otis drops Tino and Moss repeatedly before hitting a series of splashes and suplexes. Everyone then hits a move before War Machine, now being called the War Raiders comes out and attacks both teams forcing the referee to call for the bell.
Winner: No Contest due to double interference.
-War Raiders then stand over the fallen Heavy Machinery as we go off the air.
