WWE NXT Recap 12/14 Shinsuke Nakamura VS Samoa Joe In A Steel Cage Match & More!

This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE NXT! Tonight is set to be a jam packed edition of NXT as in our main event we have Shinsuke Nakamura defending his NXT World Championship against Samoa Joe in a steel cage as well as qualifying matches for the #1 Contender Fatal 4-Way as The Dillinger takes on Eric Young, No Way Jose takes on Andrade Almas, Roderick Strong takes on Elias Samson and Bobby Roode takes on Oney Lorcan so be sure to come back here at 8PM EST to find out who advances and if Shinsuke can retain his title once again!

-We open with a video package for Shinsuke's journey back to becoming champion and the second two time champion in NXT.

-We open up the show with the cage match rather than having it as the main event.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Samoa Joe NXT Championship Steel Cage Match

Shinsuke takes Joe down quickly then Joe gets back up then they lock up for a clean break then Shinsuke tells Joe to bring it before drooping him with a snap mare then a jumping knee then finally Good Vibrations in the corner. Joe picks up Shinsuke and tosses him into the cage then hits him with a series of right hands when he's trapped against the cage then splashes into him as we go to commercial.

Shinsuke hits Joe with a series of knees then goes for a standing guillotine then tosses Joe into the cage before hitting a massive German suplex showing off his strength. Shinsuke goes for a Kinshasa,but Joe catches him and hits a powerslam for a close 2 count, the two exchanging forearms immediately after. then Shinsuke misses a kick, allowing Joe to lock in the Coquina Clutch in the center of the ring, but Shinsuke flips back over Joe using the ropes then hits a sliding knee to the face of Joe for a close 2 count of his own. Shinsuke starts to attempt to leave the cage, but Joe is right on him then Joe goes for a Muscle Buster off the top rope then Shinsuke hits a powerbomb off the top rope before climbing the cage, balancing on the ropes and hits a Kinshasa from the top rope, the two of them collapsing from exhaustion. Shinsuke starts to leave the cage, but closes the door then hits two more Kinshasa for the pin and the win.
