NXT North American Championship Match

Swerve Strickland On Breaking Into Hangman Page's Home: No One Was Harmed In The Making Of That Film

Leon Ruff (c) vs Johnny Gargano

Johnny cheap shots Leon and drives him into the corner before whipping him across the ring and chopping him in the corner. Leon comes back with strikes of his own before hitting a springboard hurricanrana into a dropkick that ends Johnny out of the ring. Leon hits a dive off of the top before Johnny counters a crucifix bomb and clotheslines Leon. Johnny lawn darts Leon several times before Damian Priest comes out onto the stage. Leon rolls Johnny up for a near fall before hitting a rebound lariat and missing a Swanton Bomb.

Johnny superkicks Leon and follows up with a powerbomb into The One Final Beat for a near fall that Damian breaks up. Damian then knocks Leon out for the disqualification.

Winner: Johnny Gargano defeats Leon Ruff via disqualification, but Leon retains his NXT North American Championship due to champions advantage.

- Backstage Cameron Grimes cuts a promo ahead of his Blindfold Match against Dexter Lumis up next as we go to commercial.

- We see Rhea Ripley making her way into the arena earlier today ahead of her challenging for the NXT Women's Championship in tonight's main event.

Blindfold Match

Cameron Grimes vs Dexter Lumis

Cameron misses a running cross body before running into the turnbuckles and feeling his way around the ring. Cameron attacks the referee by accident and lays him out before he takes his blindfold off and Lumis dodges a Cave In with his blindfold still on. Dexter takes his blindfold off and beats on Cameron around ringside before Dexter throws Cameron into the chain link plexiglass. Cameron then escapes over the top and flees to the back.

Winner: No Contest

- Backstage Damian meets with Regal who admonishes him for interfering in the title match before Leon overhears Damian call him a joke. Leon then slaps Damian and says that he's no one's joke before leaving as we go to commercial.

- We get a video package for War Games on December 6 before we go back to the ring for our next match between Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell against Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter.

Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell vs Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro

Indi and Kacy start the match off with Kacy and Kayden taking control and doubling up on Indi. Indi comes back and hits Kacy with a side walk slam for two before dragging Kacy to the corner and tagging in Candice. Kacy gets the hot tag to Kayden who hits Candice with a flat liner and sends Indi out of the ring before superkicking Candice for two. Candice pulls the hair of Kayden and sends her down onto the mat before hitting a brain buster and Indi takes out Kacy at ringside. Candice then hits Kayden with her finisher for the pin and the win.

Winner: Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell defeat Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro via pinfall.

- We get a video package promo by Arturo Ruas who's in action up next as we go to commercial.

- We see NXT Women's champion Io Shirai entering the arena ahead of her title defense later tonight.

Arturo Ruas vs KUSHIDA

They grapple on the mat before Ruas snaps the arm of KUSHIDA and drives him down onto the mat before locking in a straight arm bar. KUSHIDA gets to his feet and Ruas takes him back down with a side Russian leg sweep before focusing on joint manipulation. KUSHIDA comes back with a flurry of dropkicks into a cartwheel dropkick for two before Ruas blocks a roundhouse kick. KUSHIDA then locks in a double wrist lock before pinning Ruas with a bridging pin.

Winner: KUSHIDA defeats Arturo Ruas via pinfall.

- Ember Moon and Toni Storm are interviewed backstage ahead of their tag match against Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai up next.

Ember Moon & Toni Storm vs Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez

Raquel uses her superior power to overwhelm Toni before Kai comes in and smashes Toni's face into the top turnbuckle. Toni hits a float over suplex for two before Ember comes in and takes control of Kai as we go to commercial.

We come back to Raquel throwing Toni into the ropes and hitting her with forearms to the kidneys before Ember gets the hot tag. Ember sends Kai out of the ring and superkicks Raquel before hitting a Code Breaker for two that Kai breaks up. Ember gets distracted by Kai and chases her around ringside before Raquel clotheslines her and drops her across the apron. Raquel rolls Ember into the ring for two before locking in Gory stretch that Ember gets free of. Ember sends Raquel out of the ring and tries to tag in Toni, but Raquel cuts her off and launches her across the ring for two.

Kai comes in and knocks Toni off of the apron before Ember hits a head scissors and tags Toni in who hits Kai with a trio of German suplexes. Everyone hits a move before Toni and Kai exchange strikes and clothesline each other before exchanging running moves in the corner. Toni drops Kai with a pump kick before Kai sends Toni out onto the apron and Raquel sends Toni into the post. Ember then hits Raquel with a suicide dive before Toni pins Kai with a small package for the win.

Winner: Toni Storm and Ember Moon defeat Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez via pinfall.

- Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell attack Moon and Storm after the match before Raquel and Kai help them lay out Toni and Ember.

- For The Brand show up, Pat saying that they're there for NXT champion Finn Bälor's address to the NXT Universe.

- We see Io getting ready ahead of her title defense as we go to commercial.

- We get a recap of Finn Bälor defeating Adam Cole at last month's Takeover ahead of a graphic for Finn addressing the NXT Universe later tonight.

Timothy Thatcher vs August Grey

The two exchange before August drops Tim with a right hand and Tim hits a belly to belly suplex. Tim locks in a rear chin lock before August gets to his feet and is dropped with an uppercut. Tim stomps August in the corner and hits a suplex for two before locking in a claw. August comes back with chops and punches before Tim uppercuts him and August hits a superkick before Tim catches him with an uppercut in midair. Tim then submits August with a gromit for the win.

Winner: Timothy Thatcher defeats August Grey via submission.

- Tim attacks August after the match before Tommaso Ciampa comes out to the ring and Tim leaves while Ciampa stares him down.

- We see Damian Priest making his way out to the ring ahead of his match up next as we go to commercial.

.- Backstage Tommaso Ciampa tells the interviewer that he wants to fight Timothy Thatcher before leaving.

- Damian Priest comes out to the ring for his match before he's attacked by Johnny Gargano and the two brawl until Leon comes out and takes out both Priest and Gargano. Leon then escapes with his title when Damian and Johnny give chase.

- We get a graphic for Kevin Owens on guest commentary next week before we get an update on BOA and the mystery man from last week. Regal goes to check on BOA who tells him that a woman is coming and that Xia isn't coming back anytime soon either.

- Backstage Ruff tells Regal that he will gladly face both Priest and Gargano and defend his title in a triple threat match before leaving the arena.

NXT Women's Championship Match

Io Shirai vs Rhea Ripley

They lock up before Rhea shoves Io back and Io smacks her in the back of the head, mocking her. Io hits a shotgun dropkick and chops Rhea in the corner before Rhea counters a sunset flip. Io dropkicks Rhea through the ropes before Rhea drops her with a forearm when she goes for a suicide dive. Rhea then drops Io face first across the apron as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Rhea in control until Io comes back with a spider suplex when she escapes an attempted superplex. Io hits a Shotei into a sunset flip stomp into a shotgun dropkick for two before locking in a cross face. Io then focuses on the arm of Rhea when she gets free before sending Rhea into the steps as we go to commercial.

We come back to Rhea hitting a superplex before they exchange forearms until Rhea locks in a cravat and hits Io with knees to the face. Rhea hits a snap mare into a dropkick to the back of the neck of Io for two before locking in the Prism. Io gets to the ropes for the break right before tapping before Io counters the Rip Tide into an armbar. Rhea gets to the ropes before ducking a pair of 619 and Io drops her with a Shotei before hitting a 619. Io goes up top and hits a missile dropkick for two before hitting a meteora in the corner before landing on her feet when she misses a moonsault.

Rhea turns Io inside out with a clothesline for two before Io counters the Rip Tide into a DDT. Io hits a suicide dive powerbomb that sends Rhea through the announce table before Rhea gets back in at nine. Io then immediately hits Rhea with Over the Moonsault to the back of Rhea for the pin and the win.

Winner: Io Shirai retains her NXT Women's Championship by defeating Rhea Ripley via pinfall.

- Io and Rhea exchange a hand shake and a hug after the match before Rhea lives and Io celebrates before going to the back as Finn Bälor makes his way into the ring.

- NXT champion Finn Bälor talks about his defending his title against Adam Cole and getting three metal plates put in his jaw. Finn is interrupted by For The Brand before Pat names off their accolades as late and who they've taken out. FTB surround the ring and get up on the apron before Pat demands that Finn hand the belt over to them. Finn then tells Pat that he's brought UE back with him before UE and FTB brawl as we go off the air.
