WWE NXT Results for 2/26/20 The Queen Comes Out On Top

Good evening Fight Fans and welcome to our coverage of tonight's edition of WWE NXT headlined by a first time match between Charlotte and Bianca Belair!

-We open tonight's show with a recap of last week's show before we go to Charlotte's car entering the arena and she getting out after making NXT General Manager William Regal open the door for her.

Dominik Dijakovic vs Cameron Grimes

Dom locks in a side headlock before dropping Grimes with a shoulder block and they exchange standing switches before Grimes hits a dropkick and a knee to the midsection of Dom. Grimes drops Dom and chokes him in the corner before dragging his face across the rope and Dom hits a discus kick out of nowhere for two. Dom rocks Grimes with a forearm and elbows him in the corner before hitting a pendulum backbreaker into a springboard splash for a near fall. Grimes counters a suplex and hits a huricanrrana before Dom knees him in the ribs and throws him over the top rope and out of the ring. Dom then tosses Grimes back into the ring before Grimes  hits a baseball slide into a PK onto the apron as we go to commercial.

We return to Cameron in control of Dom back in the ring until Dom gets to his feet and rocks Grimes with a back elbow before tossing him across the ring. They kick each other before Dom hits a lariat that turns Grimes inside out for a near fall before Grimes hits a series of kicks into a bridging German suplex for a near fall of his own. Grimes misses a baseball slide before Dom hits an asai moonsault and gets attacked by Damian Priest out of nowhere, but the referee doesn't see it. Dom then nearly gets counted out at the count of nine before he is immediately hit with the Cave In for the pin and the win.

Winner: Cameron Grimes defeats Dominik Dijakovic via pinfall with the Cave In.

-We go backstage to William Regal announcing that there will be a series of qualifying matches for the new women's number one contender at Takeover: Tampa which will be a ladder match before we get a graphic for Finn Bálor as we go to commercial.

-Finn Bálor comes out to the ring and says that he's the guy in NXT, that he builds brands before listing off his accolades and that it's Wrestlemania season. Finn says that he's been at his peak for twenty years as everyone else is trying to peak in time for Wrestlemania before referencing his recent victories before he's interrupted by Barthel and Aichner of Imperium. Imperium say that he hasn't defeated WALTER and that he'd like to send Finn his regards before Finn takes them out momentarily and ends up getting beat down by the European Union.

-We then get a video package for Austin Theory ahead of his match against Tommaso Ciampa later tonight as we go to commercial.

-We come back to an ominous video package before we go to a brief interview with Bianca Belair earlier today ahead of her match against Charlotte in tonight's main event.

Xia Li vs Mia Yim

Xia backs Mia into the corner with kicks before Mia dropkicks her and Mia sweeps Xia before hitting a basement dropkick for two. Mia stomps Xia in the corner before missing a cannonball and Xia comes back with clotheslines and kicks and Mia hits Eat Defeat before she's interrupted by Dakota Kai. Xia then rolls Mia up off of the distraction for the pin and the win.

Winner: Xia Li defeats Mia Yim via pinfall.

-After the match Raquel Gonzales attacks Mia before taking out Xia when she tries to save her and leaves Mia laying as Dakota watches from the ramp before they leave and we cut to Tommaso Ciampa getting ready backstage for his match up next as we go to commercial.

-We come back to a promo by Velveteen Dream who says that he wants Roderick Strong in a steel cage match next week.

Austin Theory vs Tommaso Ciampa

They lock up before Ciampa locks in a standing side headlock and they run into each other before Austin drops Ciampa with a shoulder block and drops him with strikes. Ciampa catches Austin with a boot and drops him with a back elbow before taking him down with a side headlock takeover. Ciampa dodges a dropkick and throws Austin out of the ring before Austin hits a high angle dropkick once they're back in the ring for two. Ciampa snaps the neck of theory across the top rope before sending him face first into the post as we go to commercial.

We return to the ring with Austin in control, having Ciampa grounded with a straight armbar and a chin bar before he fights to his feet and clotheslines Austin before hitting a running knee. Austin counters Project Ciampa before Ciampa catches Austin in midair for a near fall before setting him on the top turnbuckle and Austin turns it around. They exchange strikes before Austin hits a buckle bomb into an ushigaroshi and Austin hits a variation of a flat liner for a near fall. Austin then sends Ciampa into the barricade before Ciampa hits the Willows Bell and the Fairytale Ending for the pin and the win.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa defeats Austin Theory via pinfall.

-After the match Johnny Gargano comes out and brawls with Ciampa before getting the upper hand when Austin tries to get in the way as we go to commercial.

-We come back to the Undisputed Era talking backstage before they cut a promo before we go to the ring for a match between Bronson Reed and Killian Dain.

Bronson Reed vs Killian Dain

Dain backs Reed into the corner before hitting him with a boot and Reed sends him out of the ring before hitting a suicide dive. Back in the ring Dain traps Reed in the ropes and hits a diving leg drop for two before hitting a snap mare into a seated abdominal stretch. They run into each other with a cross body before they exchange forearms and headbutts before Reed hits a clothesline into a scoop slam. Reed hits a back suplex into a running hip attack in the corner before Dain hits a slam and Reed gets his feet up when Dain goes for a Vader bomb. Reed hits a DVD for a near fall before Dain catches Reed on the top turnbuckle and hits a superplex and several running sentons.

Dain then hits a Vader bomb for the pin and the win.

Winner: Killian Dain defeats Bronson Reed via pinfall with a Vader bomb.

-We get a video package for the Broserweights.

The Forgotten Sons vs The Grizzled Young Veterans

Zack drops Blake before locking in a headlock and they run the ropes before Blake hits a hip attack into a dropkick and TFS knock James off of the apron before double teaming Zack. Cutler comes in and stomps Zack in the corner before James gets the tag and drops Cutler repeatedly before locking in a rear headlock as Ryker looks on at ringside. Cutler hits James with a powerslam for two before James focuses on Ryker and gets attacked from behind. The Sons then hit both members of GYV with hip tosses before sending Zack over the top rope and onto James at ringside as we go to commercial.

We come back to GYV isolating Cutler before he hits a jumping neckbreaker to Zack and a back body drop to James before getting the hot tag to Blake. Blake runs over GYV and turns James inside out before hitting a shoulder breaker for two and a buckle bomb into a falcon arrow for a near fall that Zack breaks up. Ryker stalks Zack around ringside before James hits a suicide dive and GYV send Ryker into the steps. Back in the ring James knocks Blake off of the top turnbuckle and down onto the floor before Cutler misses a moonsault. Grizzled Young Veterans then hit Ticket to Mayhem for the pin and the win.

Winner: Grizzled Young Veterans defeat the Forgotten Sons via pinfall when they hit Cutler with a Ticket to Mayhem.

-After the match we go backstage to an interview with Tegan Nox ahead of her steel cage match against Dakota Kai next week as we go to commercial after we see Charlotte getting ready backstage.

-We come back to a brief interview with Damian Priest who says that he has nothing personal against Dominik Dijakovic and that Keith Lee knows what he wants now.

Charlotte vs Bianca Belair

Charlotte drives Bianca into the corner for a clean break before playing to the crowd and mocking Bianca before taking her down with a side headlock takeover. They go back and forth before Bianca dropkicks Charlotte and mocks her before tossing Charlotte by her hair and Charlotte comes back with chops into a snap mare and a boot before posing as we go to commercial.

We come back to Bianca sending Charlotte into the post before rolling back into the ring and Charlotte hits a neckbreaker into a dragon sleeper. Bianca hits a bulldog and slams Charlotte to the mat before stomping her and Charlotte kicks her when she goes for a hand spring. They exchange abdominal stretches before Charlotte misses a senton and Bianca hits a hand spring moonsault for two. Charlotte hits a backbreaker and sends Bianca face first into the middle turnbuckle before locking in a Boston crab. Bianca counters before Charlotte applies a stretch muffler and turns it into a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall.

Bianca then spears Charlotte and Charlotte spears her back before hitting the Natural Selection for the pin and the win.

Winner: Charlotte defeats Bianca Belair via pinfall.

-After the match Charlotte goes to attack Bianca with a chair before she's interrupted by the NXT Women's champion Rhea Ripley as we go off the air.
