WWE NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV Results 08/18/18

NXT Tag Team Championship Match

Undisputed Era (c) vs Moustache Mountain

UE take control as soon as the match starts before all four men exchange strikes with MM sending UE out of the ring. Tyler and Trent double team Kyle when Trent tosses Kyle back in the ring, then Strong gets the tag only for MM to double up on him for a quick two count. UE start fluidly tagging in and out and keeping Trent isolated in their corner until he hits a DDT to Kyle and Tyler comes in. Tyler hits a diving European uppercut before he swings Strong with Kyle on his back before hitting a German suplex to Strong with Kyle across his shoulders. Strong turns Tyler inside out with a flying lariat before Kyle starts focusing on the left arm of Tyler.

Strong puts Tyler in a gory stretch before he and Kyle starts focusing on the left leg and knee of Tyler at this point, the two making tags every five to ten seconds until Tyler kicks Strong out of the ring and sends Kyle over the top rope before tagging in Trent. Trent drops Strong repeatedly with double ax handles before diving out of the ring and taking out Kyle, then Trent hits a clothesline in the corner to Strong before hitting a release dragon suplex and a Michinoku driver for a near fall. Kyle hits a brainbuster for a near fall before Strong hits an Olympic slam for another near fall before everyone hits a move and Roderick locks in the Strong Hold. Kyle puts Tyler in a triangle choke before Tyler powerbombs Kyle into Strong to break up the Strong Hold before Tyler suplexes Kyle into Strong. Tyler hits a Tyler Driver '97 for a near fall before Strong catches him on the top turnbuckle and Kyle tweaks the knee of Tyler.

Kyle applies an inside heel hook to the injured leg of Tyler before Trent grabs a towel and throws it into the crowd, refusing to throw it in. Tyler then drags himself to his corner and tags in Trent who exchanges strikes with Kyle before hitting the Seven Star Lariat for a near fall. MM hit a burning hammer off of the top for a very close near fall before Strong sends Tyler out of the ring and Strong and O'Reilly hit the High/Low for the pin and the win.

Winner: Undisputed Era retain their NXT Tag Team Championships by defeating Moustache Mountain via pinfall when Kyle pins Trent with High/Low.

-After the match the War Raiders show up and destroy Undisputed Era as we go to commercial.

EC3 vs Velveteen Dream

EC3 tosses Dream into the corner repeatedly to start the match before tossing him out of the ring only to bring him back in and the two exchanging wrist locks. EC3 kicks Dream in the corner until he crotches himself on the top rope and knocks Dream off of the apron repeatedly whenever he tries to get back in the ring. Once Dream gets in the ring EC3 hits a scoop slam and an elbow drop before clotheslining Dream over the top rope and onto the floor. Dream hits a DDT onto the ramp before sending EC3 shoulder first into the ring post and tossing him back into the ring for a quick two count. Dream hangs EC3 over the top rope before beating and stomping on him in the corner, then hits a swinging neckbreaker for a quick two count.

Dream hits a neckbreaker before tossing EC3 out of the ring and slamming him face first into the announce table. When EC3 grabs Dream once he's getting back in the ring Dream hits a flat liner and EC3 clotheslines him before hitting a running splash in the corner and a running blockbuster. Dream counters the One Percent before EC3 hits a One Percenter and tosses Dream off of the top and hits a diving cross body. Dream rolls through and gets a near fall before EC3 hits a powerbomb and a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. EC3 hits a superplex before Dream hits a DVD for a near fall of his own and EC3 hits a bridging German suplex for a quick two count; EC3 unable to hold the bridge due to his neck.

Dream then hits a DVD onto the apron before hitting the Purple Rainmaker onto the apron for the pin and the win.

Winner: Velveteen Dream defeats EC3 via pinfall with the Purple Rainmaker.

NXT North American Championship Match

Adam Cole (c) vs Ricochet

They lock up before exchanging hammer locks and wrist locks until Adam backs Ricochet into the ropes, but rather than breaking Adam sends Ricochet into the ropes and both miss a move. Adam grounds Ricochet with a side headlock before Ricochet dropkicks Adam out of the ring. Ricochet fakes a dive to the outside before Adam gets back in and Adam dumps Ricochet over the top rope and down onto the floor. Adam sends Ricochet into the barricade before tossing him back into the ring and hitting a neckbreaker for a quick two count. Adam hits an ushigaroshi for a quick two count and puts Ricochet in a side headlock before Ricochet hits a rolling dropkick that sends Adam out of the ring and hits a corkscrew senton over the top rope and onto Adam.

Ricochet hits a 619 into a springboard European uppercut and an enzuigiri into a standing shooting star press and a moonsault for a near fall. Adam catches Ricochet in midair when he goes for a handspring move and hits a backstabber for a near fall, then Ricochet blocks a superkick and hits a discus lariat before Adam lays him out with a superkick when he goes for a springboard moonsault and hits a shoulder breaker for a very close near fall. Ricochet counters the Last Shot into a roll up before they exchange strikes until Adam falls on top of Ricochet for another near fall. Ricochet counters the Last Shot into a reverse huricanrrana before Adam rolls out of the ring when Ricochet goes for a 720 senton only for Ricochet to hit a reverse huricanrrana off of the apron and down to the floor. Once Ricochet gets Adam back in the ring he hits the 630 senton for the pin and the win.

Winner: Ricochet defeats Adam Cole to become the new NXT North American champion when he pins Adam with a 630 senton.

NXT Women's Championship Match

Shayna Baszler (c) vs Kairi Sane

Shayna overpowers Kairi once the match starts until Shayna puts Kairi in a knee bar, but she's quick to the ropes for the break before Kairi gets a series of quick one counts. Kairi locks in a stretch muffler before they exchange forearms and Kairi hits a huricanrrana into a baseball slide that sends Shayna out of the ring. Kairi hits a diving move off of the apron before rolling Shayna back into the ring and Shayna catches her coming in and dropkicks her knee. Shayna stomps on the calf of Kairi's right leg before Kairi sends Shayna out onto the apron, but Shayna catches her coming in once more and hyper-extends her knee in the ropes. Back in the ring Shayna starts focusing on the knee and foot of Kairi before stomping on her ankle, Shayna kicking the leg of Kairi all the while mocking her.

Kairi slaps Shayna repeatedly before dropping her with a spinning back fist before hitting two rolling neckbreakers. Kairi hits a sliding knee for a quick two count before Shayna catches her up top and hits a gut wrench superplex. They exchange forearms until Shayna kicks the leg of Kairi and drops her with a bicycle knee for a near fall, then Kairi counters a suplex into a spear before hitting an elbow drop to the back of Shayna. Shayna rolls out of the ring before Kairi hits a diving cross body and tosses Shayna back into the ring before hitting the Insane Elbow for a very close near fall. Kairi goes for the Anchor before Shayna puts her in a rear naked choke, but Kairi gets to the bottom rope right before she passes out. Shayna applies a knee bar before Kairi reverses into an Indian death lock, but Shayna gets to the bottom rope for the break.

Kairi applies the Anchor in the ropes to the count of four before hitting an Alabama slam, but Shayna gets her knees up when she goes for the Insane Elbow. Shayna then puts Kairi in a rear naked choke before Kairi rolls back and pins Shayna's shoulders to the mat for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kairi Sane becomes the new NXT Women's champion by defeating Shayna Baszler via pinfall.

NXT Championship Last Man Standing Match

Tommaso Ciampa (c) vs Johnny Gargano

Johnny attacks Ciampa during the introductions before beating on him until Ciampa sends Johnny out of the ring, then they end up outside and Ciampa pushes Johnny into the ring steps. Johnny sends Ciampa into the barricade before pulling up the padding at ringside and exposing the concrete. Ciampa rakes the eyes of Johnny before Johnny backs him into the ring post and sends him over the announce table. Ciampa hits an air raid through an announce table before they get back in the ring and Ciampa rocks Johnny with a kick before hitting a running knee in the corner. Johnny throws a chair at the knee of Ciampa before attacking him with the chair until he wedges it in the ropes and Ciampa counters a lawn dart into a sleeper.

Johnny gets back up at the count of six before Ciampa applies the sleep once more, then Johnny gets to his feet before Johnny hits a lawn dart and sends Ciampa face first into the chair in the corner. Ciampa gets up at the count of six before falling back down, then Johnny sets several tables up at ringside before Ciampa hits a series of German suplexes. Ciampa drops Johnny with a running knee strike before hitting him with the chair repeatedly; Johnny getting up at the count of five before Ciampa hits three Project Ciampas. Ciampa sits on the chair before Johnny gets up at the count of nine and superkicks Ciampa out of the chair. The former best friends exchange strikes until Ciampa catches Johnny with a knee when he goes for a spear through the ropes.

They exchange German suplexes clotheslines and strikes until they knock each other down, both of them getting to their feet at the count of nine. Johnny hits a superkick on the apron before missing a cannonball, then Ciampa sends Johnny into the barricade before hitting an angels wings onto the ring steps. Johnny gets up at the count of nine before Ciampa cuts away the tarp of the apron and exposes the wood of the ring underneath the mat and the padding. Johnny sprays Ciampa with a fire extinguisher before Johnny attacks him with a crutch and Johnny DDTs Ciampa onto the wood of the ring. Ciampa rolls out of the ring to get to his feet at the count of nine before Johnny spears him through the ropes and sends him into the announce table.

Johnny takes out a member of the production crew before Ciampa sends him face first into a monitor and spears Johnny through the time keepers area. Ciampa piles stuff on top of Johnny before Johnny gets up at the count of nine and they get back in the ring before Johnny handcuffs Ciampa. They tease DVDs on the apron before Johnny superkicks Ciampa off of the apron and through two tables set up at ringside. Ciampa uses the destroyed crutch to get to his feet at the count of nine before Ciampa leads Johnny up the ramp and Johnny beats on him. Johnny sends Ciampa into the LED board on the stage before Johnny locks in the Gargano Escape and handcuffs Ciampa to a grate on the stage and smashes his head into it repeatedly before superkicking him. Johnny superkicks Ciampa repeatedly before hitting a running knee attack that sends Johnny off of the stage.

Ciampa then manages to fall off of the stage landing on his feet, Gargano being unable to stand and answer the ten count, Ciampa retaining his NXT Championship in the process.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa defeats Johnny Gargano to retain the NXT Championship when he answers the ten count and Johnny doesn't.

-Johnny is then helped to the stage before Ciampa comes back out and holds up the belt as we go off the air.
