Good afternoon Fight Fans and welcome to our coverage of today's edition of WWE NXT UK headlined by a Steel Corners Street Fight between Trent Seven and Eddie Dennis!
Piper Niven vs Dani Luna
They lock up before Piper locks in a standing arm triangle and Dani rocks her with kicks before Piper suplexes her and hits a running cross body for two. Piper locks in a shoulder lock before Dani gets to her feet and Piper hits a wrist lock lariat for two before dropping Dani with a headbutt. Piper then whips Dani into the corner and counters a fireman's carry before hitting a Michinoku driver for the pin and the win.
Winner: Piper Niven defeats Dani Luna via pinfall with a Michinoku driver.
-We then get a video package for the NXT UK Tag Team champions Wolfgang and Mark Coffey of Gallus as we go to commercial.
-We return to an interview from earlier this week with newly crowned NXT Cruiserweight champion Jordan Devlin.
Tyler Bate vs A-Kid
A takes Tyler down several times before Tyler hops up and takes A down with a side headlock takeover. A counters into a head scissors before Tyler stands on his head to get free, but A puts him right back in the head scissors. They exchange standing switches before A hits a northern lights suplex for two and whips Tyler into the corner before Tyler literally catches him coming in and hits an exploder suplex. Tyler hits a running, standing shooting star press before hitting an airplane spin and A gets two off of a jack knife. Tyler then dropkicks A in midair and hits a rebound lariat into the Tyler Driver '97 for the pin and the win.
Winner: Tyler Bate defeats A-Kid via pinfall with the Tyler Driver '97.
-After the match Joseph Conners comes out and confronts Tyler Bate and sets up a match between the two before we see Trent Seven getting ready backstage as we go to commercial.
-We come back to a recap of last week's main event in which Imperium defeated South Wales Subculture and Dave Mastiff before we go backstage to Dave Mastiff looking for WALTER.
Pretty Deadly vs Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter
??Lewis and Ashton start the match off by dropping each other and running the ropes until Ashton hits a delayed suplex for two. Oliver comes in and hits a sunset flip for two before Sam comes in and drives Ashton into his corner with uppercuts. Smith takes out PD with a double flying clothesline and Lewis knocks Ashton off of the apron and into the barricade when he's distracted by Sam at ringside. Ashton gets the tag to Oliver who drops both members of PD before hitting Lewis with a uranage for a near fall that Sam breaks up and Lewis saves Sam before they drop Ashton and Oliver. Ashton then takes out PD with superkicks before Oliver hits a wheel kick into an electric chair ushigaroshi for the pin and the win.
Winner: Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith defeat Pretty Deadly via pinfall when Oliver pins Sam with an electric chair ushigaroshi.
-Pretty Deadly attack Smith and Carter after the match before sending Oliver out of the ring and taking out Ashton and leaving before Oliver can get back in. We then go to an interview with Ilja Dragunov earlier today where he's training at the performance center ahead of his impending match against Joe Coffey as we go to commercial.
-NXT UK Women's champion Kay Lee Ray comes out to the ring and talks about defending her title in the triple threat match at UK Takeover:Blackpool II before saying that she's never giving the title up. Toni Storm then comes out to the ring before they make an I Quit match and KLR adds the stipulation that if Toni loses she won't be able to challenge for the title while she's champion.
Steel Corners Street Fight Match
Trent Seven vs Eddie Dennis
Trent rushes Eddie and they try to send each other into the corner before Trent hits a scoop slam into a let drop. Eddie rolls out of the ring and sends Trent into the steps and separates the steps before dropping Trent with a stiff forearm. Trent counters a razors edge and hits a DDT onto the steps before they end up back in the ring after Eddie hits the Seven Bridge onto the steps for two. Trent sends Eddie into the barricade and sends him over the top and into the NXT UK Universe where he lays into Dennis with chops. They make their way to the announce table where Trent counters a razors edge through the table into a burning hammer off of the announce table and through another table. Back in the ring Trent then hits the Birminghammer for the pin and the win.
Winner: Trent Seven defeats Eddie Dennis via pinfall with the Birminghammer.
