Good afternoon Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for today's edition of WWE NXT UK!
- We open tonight's show with a video package for the NXT UK Women's Championship match between the champion Kay Lee Ray and the challenger Meiko Satomura in our main event.
Ilja Dragunov vs Sam Gradwell
Sam slaps Ilja before Ilja takes him down and hits a uranage before Sam cheap shots Ilja and stomps him before Ilja hits a jumping knee in the corner. Ilja hits a knee lift and a pump kick before hitting a diving knee off of the second rope before Sam crotches him up top. Sam knocks Ilja off of the top and down onto the floor before knocking him off of the apron and beating on the Russian once he's back in the ring. Ilja backs Sam into the ropes before Sam rocks him with a right hand and hits a butterfly suplex for two before locking in a rear chin lock. Ilja headbutts Sam and clotheslines him before they exchange chops and Ilja hits a pair of German suplexes before hitting a high angle diving senton.
Sam then sends Ilja into an exposed turnbuckle before Ilja takes him down with a crucifix and elbows him in the side of the head until the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Ilja Dragunov defeats Sam Gradwell via referee stoppage.
- We get the second part of the video package for the latest NXT UK signing now revealed as Teoman before we get a graphic that says he's debuting next week as we go to commercial.
- We come back from the break to Xia Brookside and Nina Samuels where Nina tries to trick Xia, but it backfires on her.
- We go to this week's edition of the Supernova Sessions with special guest Tyler Bate where Dar asks Tyler about his new outlook and zen lifestyle. Dar then gives Tyler a piece of broccoli and spinach leaves since he's a vegan before Dar says zen didn't help him beat A-Kid. Tyler says that he's not going to play Dar's games and that he's not going to let one defeat stop him and he's going to defeat Dave Mastiff in their Heritage Cup rules match next week. Tyler then scares Dar and tells him that he's nobody's doormat before doing Dar's pose and leaving before Dar tears up the table in anger.
- Ben Carter is interviewed while training at the UK PC where he talks about how he's learning the British style since he began his career in the United States.
- We then get a video package for newcomer Aleah James as we go to commercial.
- We get a video package where the White Witch Isla Dawn uses a Ouija board as well as a crystal ball to predict the future.
Amir Jordan & Kenny Williams vs Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter
Kenny and Oliver start off the match by exchanging arm drags and flips before Ashton comes in before he and Amir exchange side headlocks. Amir hits a cross body for two and locks in a rear chin lock before Ashton rocks Amir and he and Oliver cut the ring in half. Amir gets a two count off of a back slide before getting the hot tag to Kenny who drops Ashton repeatedly and clears the ring of Smith and Carter. Amir and Kenny hit stereo dives before hitting a wheelbarrow face buster into a Swanton Bomb for a near fall before Oliver hits an assisted 450 for a near fall. Kenny then takes out Ashton at ringside before Amir and Oliver exchange pins until Kenny pulls Oliver and Amir pins Oliver for the win.
Winner: Amir Jordan and Kenny Williams defeat Oliver Carter and Ashton Smith via pinfall.
- We get a video package for the historic mixed tag match on next week's show between Piper Niven and Jack Starz and Jinny and Joseph Conners.
NXT UK Women's Championship Match
Kay Lee Ray (c) vs Meiko Satomura
They lock up before Meiko briefly takes KLR down and KLR sends her into the turnbuckle before Meiko drops her and KLR gets out of the ring to regroup. KLR hits a dropkick once she's back in the ring before hitting a snap mare into a kick for two before Meiko drops KLR with a buzz saw kick. Meiko locks in an STF before KLR crawls to the bottom rope for the break before Meiko starts focusing on her leg and KLR hits a front suplex. KLR locks in a Koji Clutch before Meiko counters into a pin attempt for two before KLR locks in an abdominal stretch and kicks Meiko in the chest. Meiko comes back and drops KLR before kicking her in the corner before KLR sweeps her and hits a knee left at ringside.
KLR sends Meiko face first into the mat before Meiko counters a Gory Bomb onto the apron and hits a DVD onto the apron. KLR gets back in at nine before Meiko hits a DDT into a Saito suplex for a near fall before KLR counters Scorpio Rising into tornado DDT for a near fall. KLR locks in another Koji Clutch before Meiko gets to the ropes for the break before Meiko knocks KLR off of the top and hits an Attitude Adjust for a near fall. KLR meets Meiko up top before Meiko drops onto the apron and knocks KLR off of the top before going for a frog splash, but KLR gets her knees up. KLR hits the Gory Bomb for a near fall before dragging Meiko to the corner and missing a Swanton Bomb and blocks a Scorpion Kick.
Meiko then counters the Gory Bomb into a Code Red for a near fall before they exchange strikes and KLR hits the Gory Bomb for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kay Lee Ray defeats Meiko Satomura via pinfall to retain her NXT UK Women's title.
- The two hug after the match before Meiko leaves and KLR holds her belt up as we go off the air.
