Good afternoon Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage of today's edition of NXT UK featuring an NXT UK championship match!
-We open the show with a video package for the NXT UK championship match between the champion WALTER, the leader of Imperium and Dave Mastiff in tonight's main event before we get a graphic for said match.
Travis Banks vs Alexander Wolfe
Wolfe rushes Travis before Travis dropkicks Wolfe and sends him out of the ring before hitting a suicide dive and rolling Wolfe back inside before hitting a diving stomp for two, Wolfe hitting him in mid-air when Travis goes for A Slice of Heaven. Wolfe takes his jacket off and punches Travis in the corner before dropping him with an uppercut to the back of the neck and driving his elbow into the top of the Kiwi's head.Wolfe stomps Travis and hits a basement dropkick for two before locking in a rear chin lock and a scoop slam for another two count when Travis gets to his feet. Wolfe grounds Travis with a neck crank before Travis gets back up and Wolfe shoves him into the corner before whipping him into it. Travis comes back with forearms and sends Wolfe face first into the middle turnbuckle before hitting two running dropkicks into the corner into a diving stomp and Wolfe rolls out of the ring to catch his breath, Travis going right after him and tossing him back into the ring before hitting a third diving stomp for two. Wolfe catches a kick and rocks Travis with an uppercut before Travis hits a thrust kick and Wolfe a twisting brain buster for two before hitting Travis with a bridging German suplex for a near fall.
Travis counters a power bomb before hitting A Slice of Heaven, but Wolfe immediately rolls out onto the apron before countering a power bomb by Wolfe off of the apron and hits yet another diving stomp off of the top and to Wolfe on the apron. Wolfe then hits a draping, twisting neck breaker off of the apron and down onto the floor before hitting a DDT back in the ring for a near fall before hitting several clubbing blows with a wrist lock and finishes with a sit-out power bomb for the pin and the win.
Winner: Alexander Wolfe defeats Travis Banks via pinfall.
-After the match we get a video for Eddie Dennis where he cuts a promo in black and white about how intelligent he is and how much intellect it takes to manipulate the minds of your fellow wrestlers before we get an extended video package for the stacked NXT UK tag team division and the division's prestigious title currently held by Wolfgang and Mark Coffey of Gallus.
Saxon Huxley vs Ridge Holland
Saxon goes right after Ridge and boots him before hitting clotheslines in the corner and laying into him with punches before Ridge hits an over head suplex before finishing with Northern Grit in a matter of moments for the pin and the win.
Winner: Ridge Holland defeats Saxon Huxley via pinfall.
-After the match we get a tale of the tape for WALTER and Dave Mastiff as we go to commercial.
-We come back to a promo by NXT Cruiserweight champion Jordan Devlin who says that he's coming home next week, the champion returning to NXT UK after a stint in the states at NXT proper.
Isla Dawn vs Aoife Valkyrie
Aoife locks in a wrist lock before hitting a snap mare and putting Isla in several pinning predicaments for two before Isla takes Aoife down and pins her down for two before Aoife gets two and Isla counters a code breaker. Isla gets two off of a back slide before they dodge each other's kicks until Aoife hits a kick to the midsection and Isla ducks a round house before Aoife drops her and hits a standing moonsault for two. Aoife then gets up on the top turnbuckle before Isla sends her crashing down for two before Aoife hits an overhead kick into a wheel kick and a diving ax kick for the pin and the win.
Winner: Aoife Valkyrie defeats Isla Dawn via pinfall.
-After the match we see Dave Mastiff and WALTER coming out for their match up next in tonight's main event as we go to commercial.
-We come back to an interview with Ligero where he talks about Noam Dar and how he intends to shut his mouth.
NXT UK Championship Match
WALTER (c) vs Dave Mastiff
WALTER backs Dave into the corner before pushing Dave off when he locks in a headlock and they run at each other with shoulder blocks, trying to knock each other over until Dave drops WALTER for one before hitting the champion with clubbing blows. Dave grabs the rope when WALTER tries to grab him before Dave counters a power bomb and drops WALTER to the mat for two before Dave rocks WALTER with forearms and hits a release German suplex into the corner. WALTER catches Dave with a running dropkick when Dave goes for Into the Void before Dave counters another power bomb and a sleeper before WALTER drops him with a boot. Dave is right back up and WALTER drops Dave before missing a diving head butt off of the top and Dave hits a snap German suplex. Dave hits a rolling senton for two before Dave misses Into the Void and WALTER misses a shotgun dropkick before Dave hits a running senton before following up with Into the Void for another near fall.
WALTER then rips Dave off of the top turnbuckle and gets hit with a clothesline when he runs at Dave before he manages to hit a power bomb for pin and the win.
Winner: WALTER retains his NXT UK championship by defeating Dave Mastiff via pinfall.
-We then end the show with the champion standing tall and raising his belt over his head as we go off the air.
