WWE Raw (1/15/24) Results: Jinder Mahal vs. Seth Rollins For World Title, Gunther Returns, More

WWE hosted its latest episode of Monday Night Raw on January 15, 2024. The episode was capped off by Seth Rollins putting the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Jinder Mahal.

Gunther is also slated to return to Monday Night Raw and The Awesome Truth will take on Judgment Day's Finn Balor & Damian Priest in a non-title match.

WWE Raw (1/15/24) Results

- The show opened up with shots of Seth Rollins and Jinder Mahal entering the building.

- The show started with Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes asked the fans in Little Rock what they wanted to talk about. Drew McIntyre came out to interrupt him. At first, everything was cordial. McIntyre told Cody that he was proud of him and all that he accomplished. McIntyre referenced their similar pathways back to WWE. McIntyre then turned on Cody saying that he needs to stop dressing like a politician and using big words like a thesaurus. Drew McIntyre questioned question why Cody brought Jey Uso back to Raw and why he was okay with CM Punk when he was around when CM Punk left WWE and around CM Punk "recently." Rhodes says that he's going to finish the story and brings up the fact that he beat Drew McIntyre in their last match before Drew came back to WWE.

- Damian Priest finds R-Truth backstage. He confronts Truth about selling bootleg Judgment Day merch. Truth gives him a cut of the profits. Priest says he's okay with things but not to be too loud about selling the merchandise and tells Truth not to tag in during the tag match that will occur later.

* #DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) def. JD McDonagh & Dominik Mysterio

- A backstage clip from earlier in the day shows Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae asking Adam Pearce for an opportunity. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven showed up to complain about losing their match last week. A match was set up between the two teams.

- A Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell vignette airs.

* Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae def. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven

- Gunther came out with Ludwig Kaiser and declared for the Royal Rumble. He then turned his attention to Kaiser and congratulated him for injuring Kofi Kingston. Xavier Woods then made his return and challenged Kaiser to a match right then and there

* Ludwig Kaiser def. Xavier Woods by way of a disqualification when Xavier Woods' anger got the best of him and he utilized one of the announcer's chairs against Kaiser and almost used the steel stairs but Kaiser got out of the way.

- Backstage, Xavier Woods is being interviewed by Byron Saxton when he is attacked by Kaiser. Jey Uso makes the save.

- A video package recaps the issues between Seth Rollins and Jinder Mahal.

* Akira Tozawa def. Ivar.

- After the match, Valhalla attacked Maxxine Dupri. Ivar then attacked Tozawa.

- Rhea Ripley comes to the ring and says that she's tired of other people claiming they run the division. Becky Lynch comes out to interrupt her she says that once she wins the Royal Rumble it will be her and Ripley at WrestleMania because while Becky thinks that Ripley might be better than her, she said she needs to prove to herself that she is still the best.

- Jinder Mahal cuts a promo hyping up the main event.
