WWE RAW (1/16/23) Results: Bobby Lashley Returns, Judgment Day In Action, Solo Sikoa vs. Mustafa Ali

WWE Raw (1/16)

- Bobby Lashley to appear
- The Judgment Day vs. Alpha Academy
- Mustafa Ali vs. Solo Sikoa


- The Usos and Solo Sikoa kick off the show. They announced that next week, there would be an acknowledgment ceremony for Roman Reigns with all of the members of The Bloodline from many different generations. Also, next week, Jimmy and Jey will defend the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship against Judgment Day. Judgment Day interrupts. The factions brawl, and Rhea Ripley stares down Solo Sikoa. Mustafa Ali pops in and attacks Solo.

Mustafa Ali vs. Solo Sikoa

Ali gets in some offense, but Sikoa keeps control and throws him outside the ring. Kevin Owens shows up and takes out The Usos. Solo defeats Ali with a Samoan Spike. Afterward, he immediately gets hit with a Stunner by Kevin Owens.

Winner: Solo Sikoa by pinfall.

- Kevin Owens continues to brawl with The Bloodline before authorities come out to break it up.

- Bobby Lashley explains why he will go on to face Austin Theory next week for the WWE United States Championship. He will have the chance to earn that opportunity in a Six-Pack Challenge main event.

- Cody Rhodes officially announces that he will be entering the Royal Rumble in a vignette.

- Elias is backstage declaring his intention to enter the Royal Rumble, and MVP says he should save his breath because the winner is a done deal. Elias wants a match with the supposed winner.

The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) vs. Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander\

A back and forth match. Midway through, MVP shows up. The Profits get a near fall with the Spinebuster/Frog Splash combination. MVP tries to distract Dawkins, Benjamin and Alexander are able to hit a double team move. In the end, Alexander almost gets the win, but Dawkins reverses the pin on him for the victory.

Winners: The Street Profits

- Becky Lynch calls out Bayley by calling her a Karen. Bayley continues to joke that she beat Becky. Becky challenges her to a steel cage match next week and the match is on.

- Dolph Ziggler is getting ready for the main event. Mustafa Ali stopped by to bother him and when Dolph Ziggler says he doesn't have time for him right now, Ali decks him.

- Finn Balor hypes his participation in the Six-Pack Challenge. Alpha Academy interrupts and says they will beat Judgment Day tonight.

- Adam Pearce is asked to give a preview of Raw 30 by Byron Saxton. Akira Tozawa comes in asking for a Royal Rumble spot. Instead, he gets a match.

- Elias is getting ready for his match when MVP comes out and tells him he will be facing Omos.

Elias vs. Omos

The match stumbles to the outside quickly. MVP gets involved when Omos hits himself on the ring post. Elias grabs his guitar, but Omos breaks it with one hand. Back in the ring, Omos drops Elias with his two-handed chokeslam.

Winner: Omos by pinfall

Judgment Day vs. Alpha Academy

Alpha Academy continues to play the role of pseudo-babyface. Otis hit the caterpillar. Gable was able to get Priest in a standing ankle lock. The finish came when Gable had Dominik Mysterio in an ankle lock, but he was able to reach the ropes, and while he was writhing in pain, Priest came in and hit Gable with the South of Heaven. Dom covered for the victory.

Winners: The Judgment Day

IYO Sky (w/ Dakota Kai) vs. Michin w/ Candice LeRae

Sky maintains the advantage over Michin early on. Michin hits Sky with a neckbreaker. Kai tries to get interfere, but LeRae takes her out. Sky takes out LeRae. Finally, Michin hits Eat Defeat for the win.

Winner: Michin by pinfall.

- After, there's a brief brawl but Michin and Candice stand tall.

- Bianca Belair returns, she challenges Alexa Bliss to say it to her face after she ran her mouth last week. Alexa Bliss comes out, and Bianca challenges her to a title match at the Royal Rumble. They also start to brawl right then and there. Bianca takes Alexa into the crowd and almost hits her with KOD onto a pair of chairs but Uncle Howdy arrives and distracts Bianca long enough for Alexa to get away.

Bronson Reed vs. Akira Tozawa

Absolute domination by Bronson Reed. Reed eventually hits a Tsunami Splash for the win.

Winner: Bronson Reed by pinfall.

- Backstage, Seth Rollins says he's coming for it all, and he's coming for it now.

Six-Pack Challenge #1 Contender for the WWE United States Championship: Baton Corbin vs. Bobby Lashley vs. The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor

Seth Rollins eliminates The Miz when he has Dolph Ziggler in a figure four leg lock and leaves himself open to a Curb Stomp. Seth Rollins eliminates Dolph Ziggler with the Pedigree.

Omos arrives.

It comes down to Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley. Austin Theory, who was on commentary, hits Bobby Lashley with the United States Championship. Omos appears to try and help Bobby Lashley. He provides a distraction long enough for Bobby Lashley to get up in time to fear Seth Rollins for the victory.

Winner: Bobby Lashley by pinfall.
