Anthony Edwards Hits The Phoenix Suns With A DX Crotch Chop And Another Loss

- A video airs celebrating all those who have served for Memorial Day.

- Kevin Owens is in the ring for another edition of the KO Show, Owens calls the NXT stars in the crowd the future of the WWE. Owens announces that he will face Angel Garza later tonight, Raw Women’s Champion Asuka is the guest on the KO Show. Asuka quickly starts a “Becky” chant for Becky Lynch, Owens congratulates Asuka on becoming the Raw Women’s Champion. Owens shows highlights of Nia Jax ruining her championship celebration from last week, Charlotte Flair interrupts and comes to the ring. Flair says the Raw Women’s Championship should’ve been handed to her, Flair reminds Asuka that she has never beaten her. Natalya interrupts and makes her way to the ring, Natalya apologizes to Owens for destroying the set last week. Flair says that Natalya won’t be winning tonight, Nia Jax interrupts and makes her way to the ring. Jax says she will be the Raw Women’s Champion before reminding Asuka of what happened to Kairi Sane last week, Asuka attacks Jax and a brawl breaks out between all the women.

- Kayla Braxton interviews Apollo Crews, who says tonight will be the greatest night of his pro wrestling career because he’ll become the new WWE United States Champion.

Andrade (c) w/Zelina Vega vs. Apollo Crews

The match begins with Crews scoring a takedown on Andrade before backing him into the corner, Crews corners Andrade a second time before landing some strikes. Crews then drops Andrade with a back elbow strike before landing a delayed vertical suplex slam for a one count, Andrade fights back and he nails Crews with a spinning back elbow strike for a near fall. Andrade looks for a hammerlock DDT and Crews counters with a toss slam, Vega jumps on the ring apron to distract Crews and Crews knocks Andrade into her. Andrade leaves the ring to check on the downed Vega, a bunch of WWE personnel come to the ringside area to check on Vega. Crews goes to leave the ring and Andrade chop blocks him, Crews falls to the arena floor and Andrade throws him into the barricade. Andrade gets Crews back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt, Andrade keeps Crews down while wrenching away on his arm. Crews gets free and Andrade gets him in a headlock, Crews gets free again and he nails Andrade with somes strikes and a clothesline. Crews corners Andrade before landing an avalanche, Andrade fights back and he goes to the middle rope before eating a head kick.

Crews climbs the ropes as well and Andrade trips him up before landing a top rope double stomp for a near fall, Andrade corners Crews Andrade before landing some strikes. Andrade misses a double knee strike before Crews propels him into the corner for a near fall, Crews goes for a toss power bomb and Andrade counters with a hurricarana followed by a double knee strike for a near fall. Andrade gets angry and he kicks away at the injured knee of Crews, Crews recovers and he nails Andrade with an enziguri followed by a standing moonsault/standing shooting star press combination for a three count.

Winner: Apollo Crews, your new WWE United States Champion

After the match, Charly Caruso interviews Apollo Crews, who talks about all the doubters he has proven wrong by winning the title. Andrade is shown destroying some stuff backstage as Crews continues his celebration.

- Seth Rollins is shown backstage holding a Rey Mysterio mask.

- Seth Rollins is backstage and he says tonight is a night for celebration, Rollins says he is better than he has ever been thanks to Rey Mysterio. Highlights are shown of Rollins attacking Mysterio two weeks ago on Raw, Rollins says he was in a dark place after WWE Money In The Bank and Mysterio was chosen to be a sacrifice. Rollins says he cannot imagine the pain that Mysterio went through, Rollins says Mysterio’s potential final act as a WWE superstar helped move the WWE into the future. Rollins then introduces Austin Theory as his newest disciple, Rollins says Theory and Murphy’s ceilings are limitless under his guidance. Murphy says he needed a mentor and a leader like Rollins to lead up, Theory says his friends abandoned him and Rollins found him. Rollins says they will show Mysterio the goodness he has brought to Raw when they battle Aleister Black and Humberto Carrillo later tonight.

- Charly Caruso interviews Charlotte Flair, who says she is the most prolific champion in the history of the WWE. Flair says no one compares to her when Asuka arrives and dances with her title, Asuka says red isn’t Flair’s color.

- The IIconics make their way to the ring, Peyton Royce apologizes to Billie Kaye for costing them the tag titles last week and Kaye interrupts to apologize for slapping her last week. Kaye and Royce talk about everything they have done together, Kaye and Royce talk about how they lost their opportunities when they first won the titles. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross interrupt and make their way to the ring, Bliss says that The IIconics had every opportunity and they blew it. The Iiconics mock Cross and say that she should be grateful, Cross says she and Bliss took the same steps to become tag team champions. Cross gets angry and she talks about all she had to do to get in the WWE, Cross credits Bliss for being her friend and helping her along the way. A brawl quickly breaks out between everybody and The IIconics drop Cross before throwing Bliss into the ring post, The IIconics then hit Cross with their finisher before posing with the tag team title belts.

- Lana approaches MVP backstage and she wants to talk with him, MVO says they don't need to talk and he walks away.

- MVP is in the ring for another edition of the VIP Lounge, MVP brings out WWE Champion Drew McIntyre as his guest. McIntyre hits the ring and he quickly destroys the VIP Lounge set, McIntyre asks MVP where Bobby Lashley is. MVP says that Lashley will not be attacking McIntyre tonight as everything will be saved for WWE Backlash, MVP talks about previously offering to help manage McIntyre. MVP says he had two thoughts after being attacked by McIntyre back in the day, with the last being that MVP will help get the WWE Championship off McIntyre. McIntyre says he doesn’t need anybody thinking for him or talking for him or kissing his behind, McIntyre says Lashley won’t take the title from him and Lashley makes his way to the ring. McIntyre nails MVP with a Claymore Kick before Lashley can get into the ring.

- Charly Caruso interviews Natalya, who quickly leaves the interview area to answer a call from TJ Wilson. Natalya returns from the call and the interview time is over.

- Kevin Owens comes to the ring for his match and Angel Garza attacks him from behind as we go to a commercial break.

Kevin Owens vs. Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega

The match begins with Garza nailing Owens with a drop kick to the injured knee, Garza keeps Owens down while wrenching away on the injured leg. Owens fights back and Garza cracks him with strikes before attacking the injured knee, Owens gets to the ropes and he nails Garza with a DDT a short time later. Owens then nails Garza with clotheslines and a senton bomb, Owens knee gives out on him and Garza lands a super kick for a near fall. Garza gets Owens on the top rope and he follows him up there, Owens knocks Garza off the ropes before landing a swanton bomb. Owens gets Garza up before attacking him with chops, Owens knee gives out again and Garza lands a Wing Clipper for a three count.

Winner: Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega

After the match, Angel Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega continues attacking the injured Kevin Owens.

- Highlights from the game of golf between The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders are shown, both teams get thrown out of the golf course after causing too many problems. The duo move to the miniature golf course and The Street Profits win the challenge.

- MVP and Bobby Lashley bump in Lana backstage, Lana mocks MVP before giving him a bag of ice. MVP says everything is a joke to Lana, MVP says Drew McIntyre kicked him in the face to send a message to Bobby Lashley. MVP says he and Lashley will send a message to McIntyre.

- Seth Rollins is shown talking to Murphy and Austin Theory.

Aleister Black & Humberto Carrillo vs. Murphy & Austin Theory w/Seth Rollins

The match begins with Theory nailing Carrillo with a plethora of strikes, Murphy tags in and he stomps away on a downed Carrillo. Theory tags in and Carrillo attacks both members of the opposing team, Black tags in and he fakes a suicide dive attempt. Carrillo then takes everybody out with a suicide dive, Theory is tossed back in the ring and Black attacks him with kicks. Black then drops Theory with an STO before landing a sliding kick for a near fall, Carrillo tags in and he nails the arm of Theory with a top rope axe handle smash. Theory recovers and he attacks Carrillo with a forearm strike, Murphy interferes and that allows Theory to hit Carrillo with a back suplex for a near fall. Murphy tags in and he nails Carrillo with a combination, Carrillo recovers and he nails Murphy with a spinning head kick. Black and Theory are tagged in by their respective partners, Black quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Black nails Murphy and Theory with springboard moonsault, Theory looks for a roll up and Black nails him with a combination. Carrillo tags in as Murphy shoves Black to the arena floor, Carrillo attacks Murphy and Theory nails him with a TKO for a three count.

Winners: Murphy & Austin Theory w/Seth Rollins

After the match, Austin Theory and Murphy throw Aleister Black into the announce table before dumping Humberto Carrillo out of the ring. Seth Rollins gets a microphone and his disciples hold Carrillo against the ring steps, Rollins says Rey Mysterio was sacrificed for the greater good. Rollins warns Black and Carrillo to stand down and not go against him, Rollins says he will sacrifice them like he did Mysterio.

- Edge is shown backstage.

- Edge is still backstage and he admits that Randy Orton caught him flat footed a few weeks ago on Raw. Edge says he is doubting his wrestling ability. Edge talks about being retired for 3,212 days and how Orton has competed in over 1,000 matches in that time, Edge says he wants to thank Orton for making him contemplate things he had buried in his mind. Edge talks about appearing on The Last Ride documentary, Edge talks about all the greats he has competed against. Edge says he also taught a lot of wrestlers about getting to the next level, Edge says he doesn’t know if he can do anything he did in the past anymore. Edge says he will dig into the depths of his soul at WWE Backlash.

- Asuka comes to the announce table before the next match.

- The Viking Raiders & The Street Profits are arguing backstage, The Viking Raiders challenge The Street Profits to a bowling game for next week. MVP and Bobby Lashley arrive to say The Street Profits would rather golf than be champions, MVP calls them clowns and The Street Profits insult him in return. MVP and Lashley challenge The Street Profits to a match tonight.

Raw Women’s Championship #1 Contenders Match
Nia Jax vs. Natalya vs. Charlotte Flair

The match begins with Flair attacking Natalya before battling Jax, Natalya returns and Jax shoves her away. Jax then slams Flair before slamming Natalya on top of her, Jax goes for a leg drop and everybody gets out of the way. Flair and Natalya double team Jax before throwing her into the ring post, Flair then gets Natalya in a headlock. Natalya gets free and she briefly gets Flair in a head scissors, Natalya then gets Flair in a headlock and Flair also gets her in a head scissors for a short time. Flair then drops Natalya with a shoulder tackle before knocking Jax back to the arena floor, Flair gets knocked to the ring apron and Jax gets her to the arena floor before landing a clothesline. Flair recovers and she attacks Jax by ramming her into the announce table, Natalya goes after Jax and Jax knocks her to the arena floor. Flair grabs the hood of the announce table and she attacks Jax with it, Jax and Flair exchange strikes on the ring apron. Natalya goes after Jax and that allows Flair to work with her and power bomb Jax through the announce table as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Flair working over Natalya in the ring.

Natalya fights back and both women go down after a double cross body block attempt, Asuka interferes and she throws Jax back in the ring. Natalya goes after Jax and she nails her with a ton of strikes, Natalya goes for an arm bar and Jax gets free by landing a sit out power bomb. Flair returns and she throws Natalya out of the ring, Flair goes to the top rope and she lands a moonsault for a near fall. Flair attacks the leg of Jax before eating a top rope cross body block from Natalya for a near fall, Jax gets up and she attacks everybody with clotheslines. Jax then hits both opponents with a double avalanche, Jax looks for a double Samoan drop and it gets blocked. Flair knocks Natalya out of the ring before attacking Jax’s knee, Flair catches Jax in the Figure Eight and Natalya breaks it up. Natalya drops Flair before locking her in the sharp shooter, Jax returns and she breaks up the sharp shooter. Jax gets Natalya up and Flair kicks her in the face for a near fall, Flair then throws Natalya out of the ring. Flair goes back to the top rope until Natalya distracts her, Jax attacks Flair and she climbs the ropes as well.

Natalya returns and she takes everybody down with a tower of doom for a few near falls, Natalya then gets Flair out of the ring. Natalya looks for a sharp shooter on Jax and Flair breaks it up, Flair gets Natalya in the Figure Eight and Jax breaks it up with a leg drop. Jax nails Natalya with a Samoan drop for a three count.

Winner: Nia Jax

- Kayla Braxton interviews Drew McIntyre, who says he didn’t plan on attacking MVP and he says he will stick around to watch the tag team match later tonight.

- Highlights are shown of Rob Gronkowski winning the WWE 24/7 Championship at ‘Mania 36, followed by R-Truth’s comments on social media earlier in the day. Gronkowski appears and he tells R-Truth to bring it on, Gronkowski says R-Truth’s success with the title is in the past.

- Kayla Braxton interviews MVP and Bobby Lashley, MVP says he will be victorious tonight due to Lashley.

- Ric Flair appears and he talks about the great wrestling matches he has competed in, Flair says that Randy Orton is the greatest in ring performer today and will beat Edge at WWE Backlash.

- Liv Morgan appears and she says her biggest stumbling block in life has been her own self-worth, feeling like she has never been good enough. Morgan says she found what she was missing in the WWE, Morgan says she will fulfill who she has been destined to be.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. Bobby Lashley & MVP

The match begins with Ford getting Lashley in a headlock, Lashley gets free and he drops Ford with a shoulder block. Lashley then corners Ford before landing multiple shoulder thrusts to the midsection, Lashley also nails Ford with a flat liner for a near fall. MVP tags in and he attacks a cornered Ford with multiple strikes, Ford fights back and MVP nails him with more strikes. Lashley tags back in and he nails Ford with a corner spear, Ford escapes a Lashley suplex attempt to tag Dawkins in. Dawkins quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team, Ford tags back in and Lashley knocks him off the ring and into the barricade. Lashley picks up Ford and he drives him into the ring post as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see MVP working over Ford in the ring. MVP then cracks Ford with a few strikes before tagging Lashley back in, Lashley keeps Ford cornered while also landing strikes. Lashley attacks Dawkins before nailing Ford with a back breaker for a near fall, Lashley dumps Ford out of the ring before tagging MVP in. MVP grabs Ford and he throws him into the ring steps, MVP gets Ford back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt.

MVP keeps Ford down while wrenching away on his arm, Ford gets free and he causes MVP to miss a charge in the corner. Ford then drops MVP with a right before tagging Dawkins in, Dawkins quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Dawkins nails MVP with an avalanche followed by a bulldog, Ford then sends a knocked down Lashley into the barricade. The Street Profits hit MVP with a Cash Out before Lashley attacks Dawkins, Lashley gets Ford in the full nelson and he holds onto it until the ref calls for a DQ.

Winners: The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford), by DQ

After the match, Drew McIntyre comes out and he brawls with Bobby Lashley. The referee sends some of the NXT wrestlers from the crowd into the ring to break things up, but they fail to get the job done as McIntyre and Lashley continue brawling.
