Live Coverage

- Jey Uso started the show. However, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion was quickly interrupted by Paul Heyman. Heyman went into a total diatribe against CM Punk and Roman Reigns, explaining why he did what he did at WrestleMania, revealing that while everyone wants to think he's always the scumbag in every situation, this time he's right. He chastised Punk for putting him in a shitty situation with Roman Reigns and Roman for not allowing him to help his best friend achieve a lifelong dream. Then he turned his attention to Uso, saying that, unfortunately for him, Rollins needs to win the World Championship. He said he would allow Uso to choose the night he loses the title, as Rollins will take him on whenever and wherever. Uso said he would do the match tonight.

- Backstage, Heyman admitted to Seth Rollins that he was right and that Uso "fell for it," accepting a championship match for tonight. Rollins said I told you so and then left the room. Heyman then explains to Bron Breakker how Seth Rollins defeated CM Punk and Roman Reigns when they were prepared for him. Meanwhile, Jey Uso is so distracted by Logan Paul that he will lose the title to Seth Rollins tonight.

- Penta has an updated theme song performed by Adam Jones of Tool.

* Penta def. JD McDonagh

- Chad Gable interfered and tried to attack Penta, but got wiped out for his troubles.

- Grayson Waller was backstage with Adam Pearce and decided to give away his singles match to Austin Theory, but he wouldn't tell him who he was set to face. Sheamus is back, and he's the mystery opponent.

* Sheamus def. Austin Theory

- JD McDonagh confronted Judgment Day, frustrated over Chad Gable’s earlier interference. AJ Styles enters the frame and declares his intention to pursue the Intercontinental Championship after Backlash, after Penta gets his shot at the PLE. Irritated by Styles’ declaration, Dominik Mysterio asked Finn Balor to handle the situation due to his history with Styles. Balor appeared annoyed at cleaning up Dom’s mess again, but he ultimately agreed with a smirk, saying he’d take care of it, and claiming that the annoyance was just him being playful.

- Chad Gable, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods commiserated for a moment backstage, but they were interrupted by Becky Lynch, who was making her way to the ring.

- Becky Lynch addressed the crowd, claiming fans had turned on her despite being the victim, and defended her actions against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, calling both "garbage" and crediting Valkyria’s success as the result of her own. Valkyria interrupted, rejecting Lynch’s claim to her rise and accusing Lynch of coasting on recycled material while the rest of the division evolved in her absence. The confrontation turned physical when Lynch attempted a sneak attack, only for Valkyria to counter and leave her lying after a brief brawl.

* IYO SKY def. Roxanne Perez

- Roxanne shakes IYO's hand, but it's all a distraction as Giulia attacks IYO from behind. Roxanne jumps in and they lay out the Women's World Champion. This week, there's no Rhea Ripley to even the odds.

* Rusev def. Otis

- Rusev attacks Akira Tozawa after the match.

- Gunther and Pat McAfee have an in-ring confrontation. McAfee says that Gunther has gone soft and will underestimate him at WWE Backlash. Gunther says that it is by his grace that McAfee is untouchable tonight, but on Saturday, it will be by the grace of God if Gunther decides to take his arms from around McAfee's throat.

Jey Uso is shown walking to the ring. In the background, Finn Balor is talking to Roxanne Perez.

* World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso (c) vs. Seth Rollins ends in a no-contest

- Jey Uso managed to kick out after taking a Stomp. Sami Zayn went to the ring and began brawling with Bron Breakker, creating a chaotic scene. The commotion at ringside caused a distraction for Seth Rollins. Taking advantage of the moment, Jey connected with a Superkick followed by an Uso Splash, but Rollins showed resilience by kicking out at the last second. Breakker recovered on the outside and delivered a Spear to Sami Zayn. Seeing his friend hurt, Uso went outside to check on Sami. Rollins got Paul Heyman to distract the referee as Breakker hit a Spear on Uso, throwing him back in the ring. Rollins would hit another Stomp, but CM Punk returned before he could make the pin. Steel chair in hand, Punk took out Breakker before attacking Rollins, leading to the no-contest finish. The show ended with the babyfaces standing tall inside the ring and Rollins' group seething on the outside.
