Raw Women's Championship Changes Hands At WrestleMania 37

Here is the Fightful Raw Post-How Podcast:

 


- The show starts off with the WWE offering their condolences to those affected by the Sutherland Springs mass shooting.

- We then see a highlight reel showing the return of Braun Strowman as he attacks The Miz and The Miztourage last week on Raw.

- The Miz & The Miztourage are in the ring for an edition of Miz TV, Miz brings up Baron Corbin mentioning his wife and unborn child on social media. Miz compares Corbin and his actions to the minor leagues of professional wrestling, Miz also calls Corbin the bathroom break of Smackdown. Miz brings out his guest tonight and that is WWE Raw GM Kurt Angle, Angle says he supports Miz in his match against Corbin at WWE Survivor Series.

Miz shows clips from last weeks Raw and the return of Stephanie McMahon to confront Angle, Angle says he isn’t going anywhere. Angle then calls Smackdown the B show and Miz shows highlights on the Smackdown Brand attacking the Raw Brand from two weeks ago, Miz also shows highlights on Kane attacking Daniel Bryan from last week. Angle apologizes to Daniel Bryan for what happened to him last week, Miz also accuses Angle of trying to eliminate The Miz and The Miztourage. Miz wonders why Angle put Strowman on Team Raw for WWE Survivor Series, Angle then tells Miz he will face Strowman tonight.

- Elias is shown walking backstage.

- Elias grabs a microphone and he says he is destiny manifested, then he wants to know just who wants to walk with Elias? Elias says he feels naked because his guitar has been put on a pole, Elias starts singing a song and he is interrupted by Jason Jordan.

Guitar On A Pole Match

Elias vs. Jason Jordan

The match begins with Jordan stopping Elias from grabbing the guitar, Elias mauls Jordan with some strikes before Jordan gets him down as we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Elias working over Jordan in the corner, Jordan fights back and he nails Elias with a spear in the corner. Jordan then hits Elias with a few northern lights suplexes, Jordan goes for the guitar and Elias gets him off the ropes. Elias drops Jordan with a left before getting the guitar off the pole, Jordan avoids a guitar shot and he gets the guitar for himself as Elias leaves the ring.

Jordan chases Elias back into the ring and Elias stomps away on him, Elias gets the guitar and he misses his swing as Jordan smashes him into the turnbuckle a few times. Jordan then hits Elias with an overhead release suplex, Jordan smashes the guitar on the back of Elias to get the win.

Winner: Jason Jordan

- The Bar walks into Kurt Angle’s office and they question his motives heading into Survivor Series, Angle tells them to not manipulate him. Angle then makes The Bar versus The Shield for the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles tonight.

Asuka vs. Stacy Coates

The match begins with Asuka nailing Coates with a plethora of kicks, Asuka follows that up by cracking Coates with a hip attack. Asuka goes right back to attacking Coates with some kicks, Asuka catches Coates in the Asuka Lock and a tap out follows.

Winner: Asuka

- Alicia Fox is backstage and she announces that Asuka is a member of the Raw Women’s Team at WWE Survivor Series.

- Charly Caruso interviews Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews, O’Neil says Titus Worldwide is all about fun and last week wasn’t fun. Titus says that he has his sights set of Samoa Joe and Joe is in trouble tonight.

- Samoa Joe jumps Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews as they make their way to the ring, Joe locks O’Neil in the choke until officials come out to separate them. Joe gets in the ring and he grabs a microphone to issue an open challenge, which is answered by Finn Balor.

Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor

The match begins with Joe kicking a backing Balor and he locks him in a headlock, Joe releases the headlock to drop Balor with a shoulder tackle. Balor fights back and he attacks Joe with some strikes, Joe grabs Balor and he drags his face along the ropes. Balor eventually drops Joe and he nails him with a double stomp, Joe misses a charge in the corner and Balor nails him with an enzaguri. Balor goes to the top rope and Joe quickly trips him up, Joe nails Balor with strikes in the corner before landing an enzaguri of his own for a near fall.

Joe holds Balor down on the mat while twisting away on his head, Balor tries fighting back and Joe crushes him with an elbow drop. Balor tries fighting back again and Joe drops him with a back elbow strike, Joe decides to twist the head of Balor again. Balor breaks free and Joe catches him with a knee strike, Balor gets up and he nails Joe with forearm strikes until he goes down. Balor corners Joe before nailing him with a running chop, Joe goes to the top rope and Balor nails him with a kick that sends him to the arena floor.

Balor then catches a stunned Joe with a baseball slide drop kick, Balor continues his attack by nailing Joe with a penalty kick. Balor gets Joe in the ring and Joe rolls right back out of the ring, Balor drops Joe a short time later with a flying forearm strike and we go to a commercial break. We return from the break to see Balor nailing Joe with a sling blade in the ring, Joe recovers to drop Balor and nail him with a senton bomb for a near fall. Joe places Balor on the top rope and he attacks him with chops, Balor gets off the ropes and he catches Joe with a roll up for a near fall.

Balor eats a few strikes before nailing Joe with an overhead kick, Balor gets up first to hit Joe with a sling blade followed by a shotgun drop kick. Balor goes to the top rope and Joe gets out of the way as he leaps off, Joe then catches a charging Balor with a uranage for a near fall. Joe goes for his choke and Balor escapes to nail him with another double stomp, Joe rolls out of the ring and Balor catches him with a suicide dive. Joe and Balor continue battling outside the of the ring until the referee counts them both out.

Winner: Double Count Out

After the match, Joe and Balor continue fighting until WWE officials break it all up, WWE Raw GM Kurt Angle comes out to announce Finn Balor and Samoa Joe are going to be on Team Raw at WWE Survivor Series.

- Backstage, The Miz is walking around in his locker room as Bo Dallas gives him an inspirational speech.

- WWE Raw GM Kurt Angle calls Daniel Bryan to apologize for Kane’s actions last week, Jason Jordan walks in and he names Jordan as a part of Team Raw for WWE Survivor Series.

- Bayley & Sasha Banks are interviewed, both admitted that they have yet to talk with Alicia Fox about being part of Team Raw at WWE Survivor Series.

Nia Jax & Alicia Fox vs. Bayley & Sasha Banks

The match begins with Fox messing with Bayley before tagging Jax in, Jax traps Bayley in the corner before mauling her with strikes. Bayley goes for a headlock and Jax tosses her across the ring, Banks tags in and she leaps off the top rope to be caught by Jax. Banks breaks free and Jax misses a follow up elbow drop, Jax traps Banks in the corner before tagging Fox in. Fox holds Banks down while applying the chin lock to her, Banks gets free and she gets Fox in her corner before tagging Bayley in. Bayley focuses her attack on the arm of Fox, Bayley knocks Fox out of the ring and Jax attacks Bayley from behind to knock her out of the ring as we go to a commercial break.

We return from the break to see Jax crush Bayley with multiple elbow drops, Jax traps Bayley in the corner before tagging Fox in. Fox traps Bayley in the ropes before kicking her right in the back, Fox slows things down by holding Bayley in a chin lock. Jax tags in and she stomps away on a downed Bayley, Bayley fights back and Jax launches her into the top turnbuckle. Jax takes Bayley and she tosses her across the ring, Fox tags in and Bayley starts fighting back against the opposition. Bayley sends Fox into the turnbuckles before tagging Banks in, Banks quickly hits Fox with a double knee strike from the top rope.

Banks follows that up by catching Fox with a head scissors followed by another double knee strike, Bayley jumps on the back of an injured Jax until both are out of the ring. Fox goes for a roll up and Banks reverses into the Bank Statement to force a tap out.

Winners: Bayley & Sasha Banks

After the match, Alicia Fox grabs the microphone and she tells Sasha Banks that she is a part of the Raw Team at WWE Survivor Series.

- Braun Strowman is shown walking backstage.

Non-Title Match

The Miz (WWE Intercontinental Champion) w/The Miztourage vs. Braun Strowman

The match begins with Miz immediately running out of the ring as the bell sounds, The Miztourage distracts Strowman and Miz fails at a sneak attack. Strowman gets Miz in the ring and he tosses him across the ring, Miz tries to escape and Strowman shoves him into the ring post. Strowman gets Miz in the ring and he slams him on the mat below, Strowman goes out of the ring and he destroys The Miztourage. Strowman goes back in the ring and he throws Miz out of the ring and into The Miztourage, Kane’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring.

Winner: No Contest

After the match, Kane and Strowman brawl in the ring, Strowman eventually lays out Kane with a running power slam. Kane gets up and he quickly gets out of the ring, The Miz jumps Strowman from behind. Strowman recovers quickly to lay out The Miz.

- Charly Caruso interviews The Shield, Ambrose says they weren’t expecting to defend the belts tonight and Rollins says they will leave The Bar beaten up tonight. Rollins then says The Shield will show The Uso’s who the best team is at WWE Survivor Series.

- WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore makes his way to the ring while doing his usual deal on the microphone, Enzo starts ripping on the fans before saying he is grateful for his real fans. Enzo says the cameras have been following him everywhere and he wonders what is next for him, Enzo recalls a meeting he had with a young fan in a hotel lobby. Enzo then says there is a conspiracy going on between Kurt Angle and Kalisto, Kalisto makes his way to the ring and then he takes a seat at ringside. Kurt Angle comes out and he says Enzo Amore faces WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne tonight.

Non-Title Match

Pete Dunne (WWE UK Champion) vs. Enzo Amore (WWE Cruiserweight Champion)

The match begins with Dunne dropping Enzo with a right before stomping away on him, Enzo rolls out of the ring and Dunne follows him out there before spiking him on the ring apron. Dunne then bends the arm of Enzo in unnatural ways, Enzo escapes to the ropes before smashing Dunne neck first into them. Enzo then locks Dunne in a modified camel clutch before smashing his face on the mat below, Enzo gets up and he kicks Dunne in the midsection. Dunne recovers and he nails Enzo with a step up enzaguri, Enzo catches Dunne with a roll up and Kalisto prevents Enzo from cheating. Dunne attacks Enzo from behind before nailing him with the Bitter End for the three count.

Winner: Pete Dunne

- A video package plays highlighting the rivalry between Brock Lesnar and Jinder Mahal airs.

- Charly Caruso interviews WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Bliss calls Natalya an eccentric cat lady. Charly accuses Bliss of running away when Smackdown attacked two weeks ago, Bliss says Natalya never held the women’s title when she was on Smackdown.

WWE Raw Tag Team Title Match

The Shield (Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose) (Champions) vs. The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro)

The match begins with Ambrose jumping Sheamus as the bell rings, Cesaro interferes and Ambrose knocks him back out of the ring. Rollins hit the ring and he works with Ambrose to hit Sheamus with an elevated sling blade, Rollins tags in and Cesaro tags in as well. The Bar are knocked out of the ring and The Shield catches them with suicide dives, Ambrose gets Cesaro in the ring and he mauls him with strikes. Cesaro recovers and he nails Ambrose with an European uppercut, Sheamus tags in and Ambrose catches him with a knee strike.

Rollins tags in and he knocks The Bar to the arena floor as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Sheamus dropping Ambrose for a near fall. Sheamus then wrenches away on the arm of a downed Ambrose, Cesaro tags in and he double teams Ambrose with Sheamus for a near fall. Cesaro slows things down further by holding Ambrose in a chin lock, Sheamus tags in and he smashes the chest of Ambrose while he is trapped in the ropes. Sheamus goes out of the ring and Ambrose destroys him with a clothesline, Cesaro tags in and he gets Ambrose on the top rope.

Cesaro goes for a superplex and Ambrose crotches him on the top rope, Ambrose nails Cesaro with a top rope elbow drop. Sheamus tags in and Ambrose sends him crashing into the ring post, Rollins tags in and he cleans house on the opposing team. Rollins nails Cesaro with a blockbuster before nailing Sheamus with a suicide dive, Rollins then hits Cesaro with a falcon arrow for a near fall. Cesaro recovers and he hits Rollins with an elevated European uppercut for a near fall, The Bar try double teaming Rollins and Ambrose hits the ring to even the odds.

Ambrose goes for a suicide dive and The Bar power bombs him into the barricade, The Bar then hit Rollins with a Doomsday Device for a near fall. Sheamus tags in and Ambrose blocks The Bar from hitting their finisher on Rollins, Ambrose hits Sheamus with Dirty Deeds and Rollins lands a frog splash for a near fall. The New Day come out and they are in the crowd like The Shield do during their entrance, Xavier Woods gets on the microphone to mock Raw and the superstars. The Raw roster is shown backstage and they make their way to the ring while Woods speaks, Sheamus hits Rollins with the Brogue Kick as everything goes on to get the three count.

Winner: The Bar, the new WWE Raw Tag Team Champions
