Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight's edition of WWE Smackdown on FOX!
- We open tonight's show with a graphic for announcement of a battle royal where the winner will become the new number one contender for the Universal title before the champion Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman come out to the ring for an in-ring interview after his successful victory over WWE champion Big E at Survivor Series.
Jeff Hardy & Drew McIntyre vs Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss
Jeff and Happy start the match off before Madcap clotheslines Jeff over the barricade and into the time keepers area as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Happy in control of Jeff back in the ring before knocking Drew off of the apron and dragging Jeff to the corner before Madcap comes back in and Jeff and Madcap clothesline each other before Jeff gets the hot tag to Drew. Drew comes in and clotheslines Happy repeatedly before dropping him with a back elbow and hitting an overhead belly to belly before hitting Madcap with a jumping neckbreaker and Happy hits a Deep Six for a deep two count. Madcap comes back in and Jeff saves Drew from a double team before Jeff and Happy spill out of the ring and Drew hits Madcap with the Claymore and tags in Jeff who hits a Swanton Bomb for the pin and the win.
Winner: Jeff Hardy and Drew McIntyre defeat Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin via pinfall.
Ridge Holland vs Cesaro
Ridge hits an arm trap overhead suplex for two before locking in a rear chin lock and Cesaro gets to his feet before Ridge hits a powerslam for two before hitting a knee drop into an elbow drop before Cesaro pins Ridge out of nowhere for the win.
Winner: Cesaro defeats Ridge Holland via pinfall.
Thanksgiving Leftovers Throwdown Match
Rick Boogs (w/ Shinsuke Nakamura) vs Angel Garza (w/ Humberto Carrillo)
Angel immediately dropkicks Rick and sends him out of the ring before they fight next to a table full of Thanksgiving leftovers before they get back into the ring and Angel hits another dropkick before locking in a straight jacket hold. Rick gets to his feet and comes back with a spinning release slam into a gut wrench suplex before he's distracted by Humberto on the apron who he knocks off of the apron before powerbombing Angel for a near fall. Humberto then distracts Rick again when he takes his guitar and plays it before Shinsuke takes out Humberto and Angel superkicks Rick before hitting the Wing Clipper for the pin and the win.
Winner: Angel Garza defeats Rick Boogs via pinfall.
- Backstage Drew asks Sonya and Adam about the participants for the battle royal before Adam and Sonya say that they've yet to decide the participants for the match.
- We go to the ring for an in-ring interview with Smackdown Women's champion Charlotte Flair after she lost her Champion vs Champion match to Becky Lynch at Survivor Series before Charlotte is interrupted by Toni Storm and the two brawl before Charlotte sends Toni into a pie at ringside.
- Backstage Adam is interviewed about the battle royal and the current status of Brock Lesnar's suspension to which he says that he has no update on the current status of Brock while staring off into space.
- Earlier today backstage Sasha Banks yells at Sonya for what happened Sunday night where her teammates made her leave and cost them the match before Sonya makes a tag match between her and Naomi versus Natalya and Shayna as we go to commercial.
Sasha Banks & Naomi vs Shayna Baszler & Natalya
Sasha and Shayna start the match off with Shayna taking Sasha down before Sasha backs into the corner when Shayna locks in a sleeper before Naomi tags in and gets two off of a crucifix before Shayna steps on her head and backs her into the corner where Natalya comes in. Natalya takes Naomi down with a side headlock take over before Naomi reverses into a head scissors hold and dropkicks Natalya repeatedly before Natalya drops Naomi onto the floor and Shayna tags in and hits a running knee before tossing Naomi back inside. Shayna then locks in a sleeper before Sasha comes in and hits a back stabber as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Shayna and Natalya isolating Naomi until she comes back with a double stunner goes to tag in Sasha before Shayna pulls Sasha off of the apron at the last second and Sasha takes Shayna and herself out before Naomi pins Natalya after they exchange several pin attempts.
Winner: Naomi and Sasha Banks defeat Natalya and Shayna Baszler via pinfall.
- Backstage the locker room are arguing about the lineup for the battle royal before Drew and Sheamus face off as we see Drew having been left off of the list before Sheamus walks off laughing.
WWE Universal Championship Number One Contender Black Friday Battle Royal Match
Before the match can start Drew comes out and swings a sword around which clears the ring before Adam comes out and pleads with Drew who holds the ring as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Drew gone as we're informed that he left during the break before Jinder is the first to be eliminated followed by Drew Gulak and Mansoor is eliminated by Sheamus and Ridge before Mace is eliminated and Shanky is eliminated by Moss before Cesaro eliminates Ridge and Moss eliminates Cesaro. Moss then teases eliminating Happy before Happy eliminates Moss and the two share a laugh as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to ten men in the ring before Angel eliminates Rick and the Viking Raiders eliminate Los Lotharios before Sami falls through the ropes and Sheamus eliminates both Erik and Ivar as we get down to Sheamus, Jeff, Ricochet, and Happy. Sheamus then eliminates Ricochet off of a Brogue Kick before turning his sights on Happy and the two brawl before Jeff takes out Sheamus with a Whisper in the Wind before Happy and Sheamus work together before Happy eliminates Sheamus and Jeff eliminates Happy before Sami comes back in out of nowhere and eliminates Jeff for the win.
Winner: Sami Zayn wins the battle royal by being the last person in the match.
- After the match Sami is informed that Brock Lesnar's suspension has been lifted and is returning to Smackdown next week as we go off the air with the Usos staring daggers at Paul in Roman's dressing room.
