WWE Smackdown on FOX Results for 12/24/21 Charlotte Flair vs Toni Storm

Good evening Fight Fans, Merry Christmas, and welcome to our coverage for tonight's Christmas Eve edition of WWE Smackdown on FOX!

- We get a sit-down interview with Paul Heyman where he addresses being fired by the Universal champion Roman Reigns last week before he was saved by Brock Lesnar.

Charlotte Flair (c) vs Toni Storm

Charlotte and Toni go back and forth until Toni hits a running cross body for two before Charlotte rolls out of the ring and plays mind games as she teases getting back inside multiple times before she gingerly gets back inside and Toni dodges a boot before hitting a second running cross body for two. Charlotte counters Toni and smashes her face into several of the top turnbuckles before chopping her in the corner and choking her in the ropes for two before locking in a head scissors and smashing Toni's face into the mat and reapplying the head scissors hold. Toni then leans back so Charlotte's shoulders are on the mat for one before Charlotte flips Toni and stomps her in the corner before Toni gets two off of an inside cradle and Charlotte sends her out of the ring with a boot before Charlotte plays to the crowd as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Charlotte in control back in the ring before Toni comes back with a float over suplex before hitting a running hip attack in the corner before Charlotte counters a German before missing a jumping stomp and Toni hits a release German for two. Charlotte hits a flat liner into the middle turnbuckle before hitting a standing moonsault for two before Toni hits a pair of German's and Charlotte locks in a figure four before Toni gets to the ropes for the break before Charlotte sends her out of the ring. Toni sends Charlotte into the post and beats on her at ringside before tossing her back inside and Charlotte gets a near fall off of a roll up with the ropes before Toni gets a near fall off of a series of pins until Charlotte pins her for the win.

Winner: Charlotte Flair retains her Smackdown Women's title by defeating Toni Storm via pinfall.

Angel vs Mansoor

Angel and Mansoor start the match off with Mansoor catching a kick and hitting an inverted atomic drop into a standing side headlock before dropkicking Angel into the corner and Angel rips him off of the top rope. Angelo throws his pants at Mansoor and hits a helluva kick before hitting a basement dropkick and the two exchange strikes until they collapse before Mansoor goes up top and Angel superkicks him out of the air. Angel then grabs Mansoor and hits the Wing Clipper for the pin and the elimination.

Angel vs Erik

Angel goes right after Erik when he's trying to get into the ring before Erik catches him when he comes off of the top and slams him onto the floor before playing to the camera as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Erik in control back inside the ring before dropping Angel with a knee for two before Angel hits the Wing Clipper for the pin and the win.

Angel vs Shanky

Shanky man handles Angel and tosses him around the ring before hitting a front slam for the pin and the elimination.

Shanky vs Ivar

Ivar fights off a chokeslam before Shanky drops him with a boot and Ivar hits several running clotheslines in the corner into a bronco buster in the corner before going up top and hitting a diving splash for the pin and the elimination.

Ivar vs Sheamus

Ivar lays into Sheamus with strikes in the corner before hitting an uppercut and a clothesline that sends Sheamus over the top rope and down onto the floor as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Sheamus in control of Ivar on the mat with a rear chin lock before Ivar gets to his feet and runs Sheamus over before hitting a powerslam into a low cross body. Sheamus then counters a powerslam and pins Ivar with a Brogue Kick for the win.

Sheamus vs Drew Gulak

Sheamus immediately pins Drew with a Brogue Kick as soon as he enters the ring for the elimination.

Cesaro vs Sheamus

Sheamus meets Cesaro on the ramp before the two brawl at ringside and Cesaro tosses Sheamus back inside before hitting a diving cross body for two before Sheamus focuses on the taped ribs of Cesaro. Cesaro comes back with a dropkick into a swing before Ridge Holland distracts Cesaro and Sheamus pins him with a Brogue Kick for the elimination.

Sheamus vs Ricochet

Sheamus hits a powerslam for two before hitting clubbing blows in the ropes and dragging Ricochet back in from the apron before going up top and Ricochet ducks a diving clothesline before hitting a tornado DDT for a deep two count. Ricochet goes for an asai before Sheamus gets his knees up and rolls Ricochet up for two before Ricochet hits a springboard clothesline into a standing moonsault for a near fall. Ridge then gets on the apron and distracts Ricochet before Sheamus boots him off of the apron and tosses him back inside before Cesaro comes back out and distracts Sheamus before Ricochet stacks Sheamus up for the pin and the elimination.

Ricochet vs Humberto Carrillo

Humberto goes right after Ricochet after Sheamus laid him out after their match before Ricochet gets his knees up when Humberto goes for a dive and hits a DDT for the pin and the elimination.

Ricochet vs Jinder Mahal

Jinder immediately hits a high angle back suplex for a near fall before Ricochet pins Jinder out of nowhere with a clutch for the elimination.

Ricochet vs Sami Zayn

We come back from the break to the match already in progress with Sami beating on Ricochet on the mat before Ricochet comes back with a frankensteiner for two before the two exchange strikes. Sami and Ricochet counter each other until Ricochet lands on top of Sami for two before missing a running dropkick in the corner and Sami hits a Blue Thunderbomb for a near fall. Sami hits an exploder into the corner before Ricochet superkicks him when he goes for a Helluva Kick Ricochet hits a detonation kick for a near fall before going up top and fighting off a superplex attempt by Sami. Ricochet then goes for a shooting star press before Sami gets his knees up and hits an exploder into the Helluva Kick for the pin, elimination, and the win.

Winner: Sami Zayn runs the gauntlet to become the new number one contender for Shinsuke Nakamura's Intercontinental title.

- We get a video package for the career of Paul Heyman from his start in WCW onto ECW, the Invasion, and his time in the Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression Era, and his return to television when he began managing Brock and Roman.

Miracle on 34th Street Fight Match
New Day & Drew McIntyre vs Madcap Moss & The Usos (w/ Happy Corbin)

Woods and Jey start the match off before New Day double up on Jey for two before Jey drives Kofi into the corner and tags in Jimmy before the Usos double up on Kofi and Madcap comes in. As soon as Madcap comes in Kofi escapes the corner and tags in Drew who drops Madcap repeatedly before hitting the Future Shock DDT for a two count that the Usos break up and the Usos and New Day brawl in the ring and to the outside. Happy then comes in and beats Drew down with a kendo stick before we see the Usos tossing New Day into the trees on the stage as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Madcap in control of Drew in the ring as the Usos beat on New Day at ringside before Drew comes back with a suplex and Woods hits Jey with a chair before Jimmy superkicks him. Back in the ring Kofi gets the hot tag and hits Jey with a flurry into the Boom Drop before Jey counters Trouble in Paradise and Kofi hits a hurricanrana that sends Jey out of the ring. New Day then hits the Usos with two platters of sugar cookies off of the top and to the outside before Madcap gets dropped wit ha clothesline by Drew and Drew hits an overhead belly to belly. Drew hits a jumping neckbreaker before calling for the Claymore and Happy distracts him before Drew chases Happy around ringside and Drew and Kofi pour eggnog on Happy and Madcap. Drew then tosses Madcap back into the ring before hitting him with a Claymore for the pin and the win.

Winner: Drew McIntyre and New Day defeat Madcap Moss and The Usos via pinfall.
