RevPro Made Decision To Not Air Leon Slater Match On MyAEW, Not TNA
Fans who watched Revolution Pro Wrestling 14-Year Anniversary on Saturday on MyAEW were unable to watch Leon Slater vs. Liam Slater.
Fans speculated that Carlos Silva or TNA Wrestling made the call to not air the match given the history of Silva pulling TNA talent from matches against AEW talent.
RevPro promoter Andy Quildan told Dave Meltzer that was not the case, and that he made the decision to not air the match on MyAEW. He said it will be up on YouTube later.
“Andy Quildan noted to us that the Leon Slater vs. Liam Slater match will be put up on YouTube soon from yesterday’s RevPro show. There were no direct instructions not to air the match on MyAEW but to avoid problems since it involved a TNA wrestler, he made the call not to put it on MyAEW. It did air on the RevPro stream. but to make it up for those who purchased the PPV from RevPro, they are putting it up,” wrote Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update.
Slater is the reigning TNA X-Division Champion.
