Rey Mysterio On If He Regrets Winning Custody Of Dominik: I Would Have Told Eddie To Keep Him

Rey Mysterio regrets winning custody of Dominik.

At SummerSlam 2005, a unique type of match took place between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, as custody of Dominik Mysterio was put on the line in an epic ladder match between the long time friends. Rey would end up winning the match after Vickie Guerrero foiled her husband's attempts to win the match.

During WrestleMania week, Rey was asked by BWGS Pod if he had any regrets about the match after all Dominik has done in recent years. Rey simply responded that he would just let Eddie keep him if he could run it back.

"That's a very good question that I have never been asked and now that I think about it... I wouldn't have even had that match. I would have told Eddie, keep him. Keep him. I don't want to risk my body. Because that was brutal. The way Domink turned out after that. But I also asked myself, what would have happened if Eddie would still be here? Like that, this whole story that has been created. It must be I think he watches a lot of his stuff and somehow there's some sort of internal connection and I wouldn't doubt it that Eddie's giving him pointers from the heavens."

Rey and Dominik faced off once again at WrestleMania on opposite sides of a tag team match that also included Santos Escobar and Andrade.

In another recent interview, Rey Mysterio jokingly passed off some of the blame on how Dominik turned out onto his wife Angie. You can read more here.
