Rey Mysterio On Natalya In AAA: Oh My God Has She Stepped Up Her Game, She Is Learning

Rey Mysterio addresses Natalya’s current run in AAA.

Over the past few months, Natalya has showcased a different side of herself when she has made appearances outside of WWE. In AAA, GCW and the NWA, she has utilized her ‘Nattie’ persona to showcase a more gritty and brutal side of herself.

While speaking on the latest episode of the RAW Recap podcast, Rey Mysterio was asked about how wrestling in AAA benefits WWE main roster talent, with Mysterio commenting on Natalya’s appearances utilizing her ‘Nattie’ character.

“Your lucha libre is wrestling. It is worldwide known. You get to learn more of the craft from different countries, and I think that’s the beautiful part of this sport, that it’s universal, but every style or every country has their style, their unique taste of what they represent and how they represent it, and I’ve seen Natalya, these last two matches that she’s had, in AAA, oh, my God, has she stepped up her game. She is learning. Not to mention, she has a great teacher in TJ (Wilson) by her side because, to me, he is one of the best, in my eyes, like, technician. He’s very… very open-minded with how to put moves together when you’re talking ground game. So I’m sure that Natalya has been learning something from TJ as well. But overall, her growth has been just amazing. I’ve enjoyed watching her matches in AAA these last few times that I’ve seen her.”
