The LWO is back in full force, as Rey Mysterio has returned.
On the March 1 episode of WWE SmackDown, Carlito clashed with Santos Escobar in a Street Fight. Their respective stables, the LWO and Legado del Fantasma, got involved. Escobar gained the upper hand, but Rey Mysterio's music played, and the WWE Hall of Famer came out on crutches. However, he quickly revealed that he had recovered, as he hit Angel and Berto with the crutch.

Mysterio confronted Escobar, and he distracted him long enough that Carlito could spit some apple chunks in his face. Carlito then hit him the Backstabber, and Mysterio rocked Escobar with the 619. Carlito proceeded to clinch the win as he slammed Escobar through a table.

The LWO then celebrated together after the bell.
Mysterio had been sidelined since the November 10, 2023, episode of WWE SmackDown, when Santos Escobar attacked him. WWE then announced that Mysterio would be out of action for several months, and the legend confirmed that he had undergone knee surgery.
