Rey Mysterio Says He’s ‘Just Going To Wing It’ When It Comes To His Retirement Timeline

Rey Mysterio discusses having a potential retirement timeline, noting that he is ‘just going to wing it’ due to enjoying his current work.

Mysterio serves two roles in WWE and AAA respectively, competing in both promotions in the ring as well as serving as AAA’s general manager. Mysterio most recently competed in a match at AAA TripleMania night one on Friday, taking on Omos.

While speaking to BANGShowbiz ahead of the match, Rey Mysterio was asked about a potential timeline for his retirement, with the legendary WWE superstar noting that he is ‘just going to wing it.’

“I think I’m loving the process right now of enjoying the moments as they come, before it was maybe a little bit more stressful because you were working constantly, four or five days a week. But now it’s been like- with the GM role in AAA, and then wrestling on RAW, I kind of vibe that program, I don’t mind it at all. I enjoy it because I’m still on both sides of the spectrum and I’m learning as I’m growing still. So it’s really fun. I think I’m just going to wing it and see where this road takes me because I’m really enjoying the moments right now that I’m living inside the ring, whether as a wrestler or as a GM.”
