Rey Mysterio Talks Dominik Mysterio’s Neck Tattoo, Jokes That He Got It After Overhearing His Plans To Get One
Rey Mysterio discusses his son’s new tattoo.
In the fall of 2025, Dominik Mysterio suddenly debuted a new neck tattoo that is a combination of the Aztec calendar and his Uncle’s luchador mask. The design garnered a lot of praise at the time, but in a new interview with Cody Rhodes on the What Do You Wanna Talk About podcast, Rey Mysterio joked about ‘Dirty Dom’ just trying to beat him to the punch.
“I think he overheard me saying that I was going to get a neck tattoo and he jumped right to it so that way he can say my dad copied me. My deadbeat dad.”
Rey then showed some love for his son’s tattoo.
“I love the fact that he’s paying homage to my uncle, the person that — I fell in love with the sport because of him. I grew up watching him, my life has always been wrestling because of my uncle and that was the very first mask that he designed and wore. It’s special and it has meaning to it, which is what a tattoo should have, right?”
