Rhea Ripley has ended Shayna Baszler’s long reign as the NXT Women’s Champion.
In the main event of tonight’s NXT, Ripley scored a victory over Baszler to win the NXT Women’s Championship, culminating in the NXT locker room entering the ring and hoisting Ripley up in the air.
The win didn't come easy for Ripley as she not only had to deal with Baszler, but also interference from both Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke.
Baszler's reign, her second, as champion ended at 416 days as she won the title back from Kairi Sane all the way back at the Evolution pay-per-view in October 2018. In terms of combined days, Baszler is the longest reigning NXT Women's Champion in history and the only woman to win the title twice.
