Speaking to Ryan Satin on Out of Character, Ripley said that she believed she would be headed to Raw or SmackDown, but that wasn't the case.

"No one told me anything, I was just going along for the ride and doing my job. I had a feeling I would be going to Raw or SmackDown on the next call up, but it didn't happen. I wasn't mad about it, I just got more time in NXT, which is something that I loved. I love being part of NXT and being around the people there and having matches with those girls. It's definitely a real home feeling in NXT. I'm glad I got a few more months there, a year pretty much before I got called up," she commented.

Ripley would finally get her call up moment ahead of WrestleMania 37. She made the most of her opportunity, winning the Raw Women's Title from Asuka at WrestleMania 37.

The two women are set to clash once again at WrestleMania Backlash.
