Rhea Ripley Knows Women's Tag Titles Are Looked Down Upon, Thinks WrestleMania Spot Is Important

Rhea Ripley is a former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion and finds herself in a similar position going into WrestleMania.

Ripley and her new tag team partner Liv Morgan will challenge Queen Zelina & Carmella for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 38 in a triple threat bout that also features Sasha Banks & Naomi.

Speaking on Under The Ring, Ripley commented on the Women's Tag Team Title bout.

"It's very important," she said when asked about the match being on the WrestleMania card. "The Women's Tag Team Championships, they sort of get looked down upon by a lot of people, I see it on social media all the time. I get it, we don't really get good positions on the show and a lot of matches are very very quick, so it's important to put it on WrestleMania and remind everyone exactly what we can do and how much these titles do truly mean. I love the tag titles, I love tag wrestling, I love everything about it. We just have to remind everyone how much they love it as well. That's what we're trying to do."

In the interview, Ripley noted that she's excited to team with Liv as she keeps her laughing.

Ripley has been featured the last two years at WrestleMania, competing against Charlotte at WrestleMania 36 and then Asuka at WrestleMania 37.
