Rhea Ripley Retains Women's World Title Over Raquel Rodriguez At WWE Payback 2023

Thanks to the interference of Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley has once again retained her Women's World Championship.

Ripley defeated Raquel Rodriguez at WWE Payback 2023 largely due to Mysterio getting involved and even taking a power slam from Rodriguez in order to allow Rhea Ripley enough time to recover, nail Rodriguez in her bad knee, and deliver the Riptide for the victory.

On commentary, Michael Cole referred to Mysterio as the MVP of Judgment Day for the night.

Ripley has been champion since WrestleMania 39 when she defeated Charlotte Flair for what was then known as the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. She has defended her title against the likes of Natalya and Zelina Vega during her reign.

Along with this, Finn Balor & Damian Priest have captured the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, and now Judgment Day has a stable of champions. Learn more about their victory here.
