Rhea Ripley Reveals WWE Won't Clear Her For Upper Body Tattoos

One look at Rhea Ripley and it's tough to tell she has multiple tattoos all over her body. Ripley wears long pants on television, which helps hide the tattoos on her legs.

If Rhea had it her way, her entire body would be covered with tattoos. Unfortunately, WWE won't allow that to happen at this time.

My dream since being a little girls is to be the most tattooed human ever," Ripley told Alex McCarthy of TalkSport"I just love tattoos, I don’t know why! I’ve always loved them. But, unfortunately for me, WWE isn’t clearing my upper body [for tattoos] – that’s why I wear pants! I got pants so I wouldn’t have to clear my tattoos because you can’t see them. I’m trying to finish my leg sleeves, then hopefully I can convince people to let me get my arm sleeves and other stuff, but we’ll see how that goes [laughs]."

Ripley has made no secret of her love for metal and rock music. Her entrance song reflects her love of the genre and in the same interview, she revealed just how much control she had over picking her theme music.

"I told them I really loved my song Final Straw and I wanted something like that. Luckily for me, they got Ash Costello, the lead singer from New Year’s Day. And I love that band and I love her. She’s an amazing human being, I’m so happy she did it because I adore her and what she does. But they sent me a few different copies of it and I actually – this is embarrassing – I sent back a voice recording of me screaming the length and tone that I want like ‘just put this at six seconds in’ or whatever it was for this amount of time, but make it sound better than what I’m doing because I sound like garbage [laughs]. I helped plan the song in ways that would help my entrance, so my stomp could fit in with the song and stuff. So the whole wind-up with the scream and the stomp, I told them to put that in there at that time so I could do that. Everything else they just tried to make like Final Straw and it just turned out fantastic," she said.

When asked if pyro could be part of her entrance during the stomp, she said that decision is not up to her and joked that people should tweet Vince McMahon.

Elsewhere in the interview, Ripley gave her reaction to finding out McMahon wanted her for a big match at WrestleMania 36. You can view her comments by clicking here.
