Rhio discusses Beth Phoenix as her biggest inspiration in wrestling.

Amongst the rest of the European wrestling scene, Rhio stands out amongst them as a multi time champion in multiple promotions across the continent, including PROGRESS, ICW and several more.

While speaking on Mega Powers TV in a new interview, Rhio was asked about her biggest inspiration in wrestling, with the former PROGRESS Women’s Champion naming former WWE superstar Beth Phoenix.

“I always, always loved Beth Phoenix. I always like, I remember watching her and then I’d seen her pop her muscles and I was like, ‘ah, she’s sick.’ She just looks so different. She looks so powerful. The way she carried herself, she knew that no one’s taking nothing from her. That was like- I feel as a kid, I’ve done so many sports, so I’m a bit too competitive for my own good. Sometimes it gets me in trouble, you know. But I resonated with somebody who, who’s dominant and powerful. Because I’ve just never settled for anything less. I hate second place. I don’t do well with silver. I’m gold all the way. I’m first place all the way, and if it’s anything less, then it’s stressful. But she just looks strong and it’s like Bull Nakano. Anyone with a presence, anyone who’s strong and just comes in and takes, if you’re not going to give them what they want, then they’re just going to take it.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Rhio spoke about potentially facing off with ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm. You can read more about that here.
