Ric Flair comments on the idea of him being an active wrestler today.
Flair is one of the most recognizable names in the history of professional wrestling and has featured on television for most major US companies of the last thirty years, including WWE, TNA, AEW and WCW.
While speaking to Casino Beats in a new interview, Ric Flair was asked if he feels he would be able to thrive in today’s era.
“Thrive? I would own the era! I would own it. Thrive. Are you kidding? They wouldn’t have enough money to afford me today!”
When Flair was asked about who he would main event with from today’s era, he simply named WWE’s Tribal Chief.
“Me and Roman Reigns. They wouldn’t follow that one ever.”
Finally, Ric would discuss today’s wrestlers and kayfabe, noting that his daughter attempts to keep it as much as possible.
“I would say my daughter. A lot of the guys do. I’m not there enough to judge, you know what I mean? The guys don’t go to the bars like they used to, and it’s only because social media won’t leave us alone. They can’t hurt me, but anybody can say anything, and everybody believes it, whether it’s true or not.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Flair spoke about Chris Jericho’s recent comments about AEW-TNA. You an read more about that here.
