Ric Flair Says Goldberg Winning Was Best For Business

Ric Flair says the match with Brock Lesnar was great for Goldberg.

The main event of WWE Survivor Series has garnered comment from several WWE legends and Ric Flair is the latest to put in his two cents. On his podcast The Ric Flair Show, he said the match exceed expectations

Hammerstone Sidelined With Injury, Will Miss TNA Final Resolution 2024

"I’m still in shock. To be honest with you; a minute and 26 seconds, I don’t know, obviously they’re going to have a rematch. I’m not there, not behind the scenes, but one thing I do know is that the girls Raw team had the best match. The girls Raw team against the Smackdown girls was the best match on the show. I’m not saying that out of any prejudice, but it really was awesome. With Brock and (Goldberg), I don’t know what happened there. It’s hard to figure out what goes through Brock’s mind, but it was great for Goldberg, and our favorite saying is “what’s good for business.” They will have a great rematch there; and I’ve talked to (Goldberg) and he wants to work some more," said Flair.

No formal rematch has been set for Goldberg and Lesnar, but will both be participating in the Royal Rumble match at WWE Royal Rumble. If and when they meet, Flair is concerned about Goldberg dealing with Lesnar's suplexes.

"With the momentum he has; I mean, Brock did him the biggest favor I have seen in this business in a long time. I mean, really, think about it. He just beat Brock Lesnar in a minute and 26 seconds, and convincingly. I mean, and they both look great, Bill looked to be in great shape. My only concern was my worry of him being ready; not to faults of his own, but be ready to be bounced around by Brock, but he didn’t have to experience it, so I’m happy for both of them. They both are making a lot of money, especially Brock," said Flair.

Besides Goldberg versus Lesnar, Flair also would discuss Shane McMahon's performance at WWE Survivor Series, WWE's Wrestlemania plans, and his old friend Vader's health.
