On May 18, 2020, WWE and Ric Flair came to an agreement where Flair sold all rights to two trademarks of "The Man" that he tried to register in August 2019. (per PWInsider)
At the time, Flair, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, publicly stated in media interviews that felt he should be paid accordingly for WWE using the term to push Becky Lynch throughout her skyrocketing journey in WWE's main-event scene.
