Ric Flair Would Love To Be A Manager, But Believes It's Never Going To Happen

Ric Flair is open to being a manager.

Flair wrestled in his advertised last match on July 31, 2022 when he teamed with Andrade El Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett. Flair has served as a manager for Andrade in various non-AEW matches, and he would love to get involved as a manager for Andrade, or any number of guys, again.

"Yeah, I would have loved to have manage him," Flair said about a possible pairing with Dolph Ziggler when asked about being a manager on his To Be The Man podcast. "I could manage somebody right now. I'd love to manage somebody right now. I think it's important...I could manage any number of guys. It's never going to happen, so it's just a dream. I would have really loved to have managed Andrade. He is such a great worker, but the language barrier just sometimes holds guys back that are much better than they're ever given an opportunity to be."

Andrade has been off AEW television since AEW All Out when he competed in the Casino Ladder Match. In November, Andrade revealed he underwent surgery for a torn pectoral muscle.

Andrade was scheduled to wrestle Preston Vance on the October 7 episode of AEW Rampage, but Tony Khan announced that the match was off the week of the show after it was reported that Andrade and Sammy Guevara got into a physical altercation.

Elsewhere during the podcast, Flair discussed Charlotte's return to WWE and winning the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
