Speaking on his Vlog, Boogs gave a brief comment on his release.

"It's been an interesting time in my life with my job in WWE being terminated due to a backstage political powerplay, at least that's my opinion of it, but now is not the time to talk about that. I will get into detail about that when the time is right," he said. "It's not time, but when I do and can speak freely, it's going to be juicy. I'm talking about all the nitty gritty details."

It is unknown when Boogs will give further comment on his release.

Boogs signed with WWE in 2017. He was paired with Shinsuke Nakamura for a brief period, playing Nakamura's theme on his guitar. The two teamed at WrestleMania 38 to face The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso) for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, Boogs suffered a torn quadriceps and patellar tendon in the bout.
