At this weekend’s NXT Vengeance Day event the NXT Men’s Championship will be on the line as Joe Hendry faces off with former champion Ricky Saints, who is looking to reclaim the title he already held during his brief run in WWE so far.

While speaking to the Battleground podcast in a new interview, Ricky Saints was asked about the upcoming bout.

“I’m feeling very confident, honestly. I am relentless in my pursuit of getting that back only because for the past few months, more than a few months, I’ve worked really hard to make NXT a place. Let me rephrase this. I’ve worked very hard to make NXT a place that stands up to the standards that I have of myself and what other people expect of me. Obviously, I don’t do anything half-ass or anything less than 100%. So I am very, very focused on getting that back, the NXT championship, and making sure none of that hard work is messed with.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Saints spoke about tribalism in the world of pro wrestling. You can read more about that here.
